Azucar Bakery

We were so happy that we discovered Azucar Bakery for our wedding cake! It was fantastic! We tried another very well-known bakery in Denver before we tried the cakes here, and their cakes didn’t even come close to how amazing the cakes are at Azucar. You can call and order a sampler box to try multiple flavors. We went with a 3-tier cake with simple white frosting on the outside and then put a few pink roses on the cake. It was gorgeous! We chose the lemon-raspberry flavor for 2 of the tiers, and then chose the chocolate with chocolate mousse for the other tier. All of our guests loved this cake, and ate every piece of it! It was completely gone! We only got one bite of our cake during our wedding, so we ordered a small cake the week after our wedding so we could enjoy more of it! We plan to order one every year on our anniversary. Stop shopping around and go with Azucar for your wedding or other event, you will not regret it! Thank you!

Easy to order online, they custom made a chocolate and lemon for my wife's birthday. Love the decor in the shop and the cake, my wife loved it!

We tried cake from several different bakeries around Metro Denver and Azucar was head and shoulders above the rest. We opted to do separate wedding cakes rather than 1 tiered cake. Each cake was a different flavor and was decorated differently. They were all delicious and gorgeous! We also ordered alfajor cookies for wedding favors. These are the best cookies! they boxed them up for us and they looked great. They were so easy to work with and we loved all of the delicious flavor options they offered. Our cakes were a big hit!

I’m now a huge fan of Azucar! They decorated the cake beautifully and it was so much more delish than I even expected. The strawberries and cream flavor was amazing and the cake was so moist. Everyone was very helpful.

Got some mini-cakes to celebrate my mom's birthday and some mini-cheesecakes. All were excellent, same with the Empenada! It's great to see such a high-quality small business! I will say, cost for what I got did seem a bit steep on the surface, but for what you get it's worth it. For a big celebration or just to get a mini-cake for fun it's a great place with great cakes.

This was my 2nd time going because I live out of state.

The birthday cakes are superb; they can create anything and the prices are FANTASTIC!!

We used Azucar Bakery for our wedding and I am so glad that we did. Their flavors were amazing! We ordered some of their tasting boxes when our parents were in town and it was a fun way for us all to vote for our favorite cake flavors. We ended up doing a smaller two-tiered cake and then sheet cakes in the back. We added one and a half sheet cakes to the 6" and 8" cakes used in the tiered cake and had so much cake left over. Everyone tells you to have less cake than you think and I should have listened we had 185 guests and had at least half a sheet cake untouched, plus the entire 6" cake for us to freeze for our one year. No matter how much cake you get, it will all be delicious if you work with Azucar!

We have order birthday cakes from Azucar and have always been blown away by the talent and taste! Stopping in for a coffee and confection has always been pleasant as well.

Tres Leche birthday cake was absolutely Amazing. I was blown away & in heaven. Delicious & totally recommend this place for all your bakery needs! ❤

If you want a delicious cake for your wedding, honest to god look no further. Our experience with Azucar Bakery was spectacular. From the cake tasting to the days leading up to our wedding, they were supportive, welcoming, and made our cake perfect for us. The only mistake we made was it should have been a bigger cake because we all wanted more of it by the end of the night!

Frequent Azucar dessert eater and everything is always so good! Love the little cheesecakes and various Peruvian pastries. Great place to get a cake for a special occasion. Staff are extremely friendly. Highly recommend!

We just had our wedding cake tasting with James and he was amazing! He has us try some extra flavors that we hadn't even picked and ended up choosing a combo from his suggestions. We opted for a dessert bar in lieu of sheet cake or cupcakes and he had several samples of those for us to try as well. So accommodating and everything was DELICIOUS. We're using this bakery as it is included with our wedding package for the venue we picked but I would 100% recommend this place to anyone looking for a wedding cake. Wonderful experience and fantastic food. Oh, and the fresh juice is phenomenal!

Nice ambience. You can see the cakes and confections being made right then and there. Cozy place for an empanada and coffee. You gotta order the tres leches cake in advance. It's also a top rated wedding vendor, in case you need one in Denver!

I was catering a private dinner for two for a birthday and somehow the day got interrupted and I found myself without enough time to bake a cake.
I googled bakeries near me and thankfully Azucar Bakery was open and they had a cake that I desired. Chocolate with a mouse filling for the layers. It was simple and delicious.
Upon entering the store I was greeted with a hello from the lady who answered the phone and a nice size pastry case.
She shown me the cake and asked what designs I would like added free of charge. I chose purple pearls and purple flowers along with a simple happy birthday message.
While waiting for the design my daughter and I enjoyed a beverage. Mine was fruity and hers was frozen. She also had a slice of cake from the display case. She approved. It made her day!
I spent my time taking pictures and soaking in what it was this shop was offering. From wedding cake consultation to satisfying the every day craving.
I learned that sometimes I can call on the professionals to make my days easier. I know I will be utilizing this company again soon.
I just might leave off the message and get a topper instead. Handwriting is something different, however the cake was moist and delicious.

We went in for a wedding cake tasting and got some chard (our favorite) and chicken empanadas to go! The empanadas were actually phenomenal... We will be back for them! As for the cake, all six flavors we tried were delicious. We couldn't actually make a decision.... I was especially delighted with the poppy seed cake (had never heard of just poppy seed cake) and the carrot cake, which surprised me! Both had a very well-balanced level of sweetness. James and his associate were both kind and very easy to work with!

We ordered a cake for my daughters 5th birthday party and it was so beautiful and yummy! Everyone was saying how great it tasted. Thank you, Azucar Bakery:) We will be back!

We've been getting my daughter's birthday cakes here for the last several years, and they're always the talk of the party! The thing about an Azucar cake is that it's always perfectly balanced in flavor (whatever crazy combination our daughter chooses for that year): sweet, but never cloyingly so; ornately decorated, but never gaudy. A fine cake crumb that is light to eat, yet still packed with flavor, topped with a delicate frosting that's nearly whipped cream-like, so not weighty, and therefore never makes you feel "heavy" afterwards--a fact that all guests agree on. Stupendous craftsmanship, and the pre-ordering process (we've gone both in person and pre-paid online) is a breeze. A week lead-time, and the the pick-up process is always a "piece of cake." Cannot recommend Azucar enough, and always a part of our annual tradition.

I called today for our anniversary cake and realized I forgot to review them after our wedding!
We got the most delicious cake, two top tiers zucchini and two bottom tiers spice apple for our wedding last November! Our experience with Azucar was great. We got to taste amazing cakes during the tasting and everyone there was so friendly and helpful. Their coffee was excellent! Then on wedding day, we forgot the cake topper back at home and could not get it before wedding time - Danielo was able to arrange the flowers beautifully into the cake - no topper was necessary!
Overall we had a top quality experience with Azucar and highly recommend them for your wedding needs!

My wife and I got married this past July and we chose Azucar. We were so impressed by the quality of their desserts on our big day. We made some specific requests to match the theme of sunflowers and mountains for our wedding and they were able to match them perfectly on our cutting cake. The hardest part of our experience with Azucar was choosing which of the many different delicious and unique types of cupcakes we would use on our big day! We would highly recommend Azucar for your next event!
