Emil's has been around for a long long time. They are very knowledgeable in the industry. I got my first pair of boots here when I was 18 they lasted 10 years. I recently went in and got my second pair. It's a small mom n pop shop so they took their time to really get me fitted

This is an awesome old-school shoe store in downtown historic woodland. They have a great selection of work boots like Red Wing and danner, plus they do on-site shoe and boot repairs, including relsoles with high-quality vibram soles. I've brought at least 6 pairs of redwing 411's and 914's in for resoles and am always happy with the quality of work and longevity of the soles.

I walked in knowing what I generally wanted. Staff spent about two hours giving me the pros and cons of the different brands and styles. After narrowing down the style I wanted staff gave me professional input on how the boots should feel and not feel.

Having worn the boots for approximately 30 miles of trail hiking I now understand that the advice provided by staff was excellent and accurate.

Overall a great experience and I will be going back in the future if I need any boot repairs, or purchase another pair.

I came in looking for some good wildland boots for firefighting after doing some extensive online research, but still hoping to narrow down my options.

Ivan took one look at my feet and knew exactly what size to get me. He came over with several boxes of shoes and showed me the different options, let me try them out for myself, and explained to me the intricate details about each boot and why he would recommend certain ones over others. He expressed a vast knowledge of shoes, soles, and feet that I could learn from and benefit from in buying from him.

Ultimately, we ended up ordering a pair of boots after narrowing down the brand and the style of boot, and I absolutely love them. Don't go to a department store or large chain with employees whose knowledge is hit or miss... Go to the guys who have been doing it for a lifetime and really know and love what they do!

Emil's has been a go- to for lots of fire departments in the area, and now I see why.

Ivan the owner does everything he can for his customers, and just this year i have spent over 800 dollars in boots. I got a pair resoled and they fell apart and he made it right by getting me a brand new pair. The older lady i dont care for but the young gal and ivan make a huge difference and they have a customer for life. Great quality boots and boot repair.
