The Porch Cafe & Catering

Gretchen catered my wedding in September and the whole experience from my first inquiry, to making a menu, to our tasting, to the organization on the day, and especially the food were all exceptional. Gretchen and her team were responsive and answered all of our questions quickly, they gave great advice for how to organize the timeline of our meal and late night snack, and every chef and server was so incredibly kind and efficient on the day. As for the food, every single thing was outstanding. We got compliments for days after the wedding of people talking about how good the food was. Things came out in batches so it was always warm and fresh. We are just thrilled with the whole experience and we can’t wait to come back and eat in the cafe soon!

One of the finest breakfast place I had! And I have lived in Europe 18 yrs and travelled around the world! The salmon eggs Benedict were divine and so was their cappuccino! Worth the detour!

Nate & his team are always super welcoming! The food is very enjoyable, whether you are a picky eater or love just about everything, you will definitely find something you like!

I have used The Porch Catering for two separate events and have been blown away both times. Gretchen and her team are professional, kind, and some of the best in the business. I am a Special Events Manager and working with her team is always a joy. They show up with their A game and know how to make a beautiful display of their food. I have had The Porch Catering make everything from a New England seafood dinner for 250+ people to a private breakfast for 30 donors, and both were phenomenal. I get compliments on the food whenever they are catering. I also personally love their food. You can tell the ingredients are fresh and high quality. Everything The Porch has made for my events has been very flavorful. I would highly recommend them for any event you might have.

I eat here at least once a week. It's so good! The lifted Aubrey and the Feel the Bern are fantastic. My husband always gets something different and very rarely do we have anything bad. The daily specials are unique and so perfect to match the season. Don't miss the baked goods, either! I wish they were open on weekends more, but I'm so happy they have a business outside of just the restaurant. More people need to know about them!!!!!

Could not have asked for a better vendor for my wedding. Gretchen and Nicole were amazing handling our event from start to finish. We hired The Porch Too in Brattleboro, VT to cater our 30-person wedding in August, 2020 and they were incredible. First, they are very responsive, professional, and easy to to work with. Second, the food is simply fantastic. They had four workers on site, two cooking all the food fresh inside our kitchen and two outside serving the food, clearing tables, and keeping everything looking great. They add details such as flowers and a chalkboard menu to make things look really nice. Don't worry about missing out on the bacon-wrapped scallops or pork-belly skewers during a cocktail hour, they make more than enough, and way more than we expected. I would hire them again in a second, and encourage anyone hosting an event in southern Vermont or New Hampshire to do the same.

Gretchen and her team did an incredible job catering our wedding! The food was outstanding and the whole team was so nice. The appetizer table was beautifully laid out and the team was so kind to bring us a platter of our own to eat during a quiet moment after the ceremony. Thank you!

With regards to their catering: Boy oh boy did we get treated by one of the finest caterers! Of the things most important to us in our wedding, food was at the top of the list and wow was the food beyond what we could have imagined! Not only were the passed hors d’oeuvres presented beautifully, they all tasted fantastic too! Top that with a Raw bar filled with oysters on the half shell, and a separate area for the charcuterie platter, neither we nor our guests were sure how the dinner could be topped…but it was! The back and front kitchen staff worked to perfect execution and not one single guest was disappointed in the least! Furthermore, Gretchen was attentive to the needs of guests with more restrictive diets so that everything went smoothly without a hitch. We cannot recommend the Porch Café and Catering enough!

The Porch provided catering for a family event of 13 people. Gretchen and her team were amazing and the food was delicious! They made sure we had everything we needed, including detailed instructions for prepping and serving. Every dish was delectable and the portions were plentiful. I highly recommend The Porch for catering and would definitely use them again.

Small! Get there early if you're planning on lunch during the Winter hours. Spring is when the porch opens up and frees up more space. Food is great! Can't go wrong.

Food is very good. Prices are decent. “Classic Breakfast” and “Belgium Waffle” are very good. Good service. Food looked very good. “Breakfast Bowl” very cheesy. “Feel The Bern” not very bernie.

The Grateful Veg Burrito is probably the best breakfast burrito I've ever had. We are from the Burlington Vt. area and love to eat out. We asked some locals for an eatery suggestion and WOW, were we ever pleased. The place was full of people when we walked in, but we received our breakfasts quickly. The outdoor patio was full, but the inside atmosphere was happy and bustling. This will become a tradition, because we're in the Brattleboro area a couple of times a year.

Working with Gretchen and The Porch team was a fantastic experience! The service, food, and atmosphere of the event were all stellar, thanks to The Porch! They provided an amazing, fully vegetarian feast that event attendees have been raving about since.

We are blown away by the catering we had at our wedding reception yesterday! The food was amazing! Everyone was talking about the food even hours later! They were willing to do whatever we needed, very polite, worked well you barely noticed they were there! They packed up all the leftovers for us and labeled it! Would recommend them to anyone for any event! We can’t wait to eat all of our leftovers! Thank you SO much!

We worked with Hardy Foard for our wedding and Gretchen and her team were incredible!! I could not recommend them more strongly for any occasion!

First and foremost - our guests kept raving about all of the food - it was amazing. We had a 200 person wedding and they managed to make the food taste delicious and perfect temperature for every single guest on time (despite weather issues). We had an incredible branzino rehearsal dinner where they roasted entire fish and then filleted it table-side (so classy), and peach caprese, kale salad, beef tenderloin and roast chicken and veggies wedding dinner, followed by an incredible ice cream sundae bar. Everything was AMAZING.

Second, we were dealing with touch and go weather and trying to have an outdoor wedding. Gretchen and her team went so far above and beyond to make our outdoor wedding happen. It was honestly so much more amazing than we even imagined in our heads! From when the wedding forecast came out until that Saturday night we thought for sure all the hard work was for nothing and we wouldn't have our outdoor wedding, but in very very very large part due to Gretchen's team, it happened despite all the twist and turns the weather took!

ALWAYS AMAZING! The food, TOP NOTCH! The people, TOP NOTCH! Best place for breakfast or lunch in Brattleboro! I always leave feeling nourished and cared for! Go get yourself a beautiful breakfast!
