Thornton Utility Billing

Thornton Water has been great since day 1 of our moving to the area! And with the new water treatment plant and the wonderful water, I've got no complaints! Thanks so much for the great service!

Since moving to Thornton, I’ve had to email over trash and water related inquiries. They’ve been very nice and prompt (less than 24 hours each time) in their responses!

Great service, returned call in a few minutes with all the answers to our questions...

Well what blows my mind is that, as a working man, who pays his taxes, is a father of two 3 year old fur babies, and rescuer of 2 cacapoopsies (still working man n getting m breeders license and qualify my cacapoopsies as a standard breed of 🐕, it's hard to explain o the layman, but I do need to go pick up my dry cleaning still, Lupe's son isn't allowed to drive anymore so she can't do it for me before she clocks in... oh-as an avid beanie baby connoisseur and collector, and of course psychic 2 the stars, ( I was referred of course by the always using outdoor voices while speaking, JoJo siwa! - via restraining order in the greater LA area) but shoot I forgot my review...
1. Here I am trying to pay my bill over the phone but it's 3:10 p.m. and apparently they are already done for the week, it's Friday afternoon and they're still not taking my money, I need water to clean my nice area rug, the cacapoopsies keep dragging their unmentionables across the living room floor all day if I don't have any water someone might judge me.
2. I have been waiting for my bill to come in the mail so I could at least know how much money I need to fork over, I only have like six princess Diana beanie babies left to hock until I jeeed to donate plasma as my only option to pay off my drug dealers debt collectors- who I'd like to offer a nice cold glass of water to when they come collecting every Friday afternoon, (maybe you could work something out with them and I can pay them my water bill as city agents which they will somehow have to pass the background check and get rid of a few warrants, but fat tony, he's reliable for sure.)

Will shut off your water due to their mistakes but will make you wait hours and hours in 100+ degree heat to turn it back on. Their system is antiquated and does not work, their auto bill pay has crashed on me over 6 months ago and when I call saying "why isn't this working?" They say "Give it another month for it to work" and charge you a $10 late fee. If I could get these services elsewhere I would.

My water was shut off by mistake and unfortunately I believe Susie is the lady I spoke with. Very rude & dismissive. Terrible customer service!

THORNTON WATER METER FAILUE APPARENTLY IS AN ADEQUATE JUSTIFICATION TO LIE AND OVERBILL THE CUSTOMER!

When their’ water meter hardware fails, Thornton Water bills the customer for an average of previous water consumption; not actual measured water consumption. Instead of proactively replacing the meters on a reasonable interval to prevent water meter failures. They just overbill the customer based on calculated past year consumption averages, not real actually measured data. It sure seems a lot like guessing to me, not solid facts justifying being billed for what you have actually used. I guess when things break, they can just lie and make the customer pay.

Some of the staff is inconsistent and rude. I can't even call to get our account number from Natalie to pay "OUR" bill. My husband is on the bill. I am his wife and i live there and take care of our finances. I have called many times for information and all the other girls help me but for some reason she is always the one giving me a hard time. The customer service is horrible.

Their website has been down for about a week now. Maybe they should use some of those overcharged bills to upgrade their website. It's almost 2020 Thornton. Your website is designed/operated like it's 1999. Can't pay my bill so I'll just wait until you charge me a late fee and then we can battle it out after that.

No matter how much water we try and save it doesn't really impact the overpriced bill. Highest water bills I have ever had compared to living in Denver.. Water should not be this expensive anywhere.

Although I pay my utility bill, because I am a tenant, and not the owner of the property, I am not allowed to see my bill. City of the Thornton is happy to take your money, but just not tell you what you are paying for........seems a little like what is happening over in Brighton, you know where the city was over charging residents and pocketing the profits and wouldn't tell anyone what was happening......strange....

HORRIBLE! They are quick to shut your water off!!!! Even if it is a misunderstanding and it's THEIR FAULT! yet will make you wait ALL DAY EVEN WITH KIDS!!! To turn it back on!

They are quick to shut your water off and be extremely rude, but after you pay your bill they take forever to turn your water back on, even though you have kids and dogs in the summer.

Terrible customer service, billing system never works. Wont take your money but happy to turn your service off. Shout out to Tina for being ineffective in her job as manager.

Worst service ever my water has been off for a week paid it 4 days ago and it's still not on... And now because of covid it's impossible to get ahold of them.

Started sending my bill out of state for no reason one day. It's never ending issues with them. Terrible
