Westminster Castle

Cool castle from the outside. Didn't try to go in. I think it is actually being used for various businesses or schools or something so we didn't want to bother anyone but would love the opportunity to tour it someday. We could see it from our hotel window and decided we had to get a closer look the next morning. We are glad we did. It was worth the short drive.

It's a really pretty castle. You can't go inside and I don't think it's really meant to be for public viewing, but it's worth stopping by if you're in the area!

Gorgeous place. Was driving by today (10/3/23) and caught the glimpse of this reddened castle against the blue skies and clouds coming off the mountains. A windy drone day, but worth the stop. Can't wait to venture inside.

Westminster Castle is quite a spectacle. It's a truly amazing castle! This place feels unreal. When standing in front of it it's easy to imagine that this might be what being at Hogwarts could be like. Sitting high on the hill and surrounded by lush green grass. It's definitely a destination to make when in Colorado!

Never would have expected to stumble upon such a masterpiece while visiting Denver & the surrounding area.

Always fun to visit, brings back a lot of memories! I grew up right down the street and took a field trip here!

Wow oh wow. What can i say about this place its a simple castle which is now used as westminster university building and it has nice garden to capture beautiful pictures.Dont miss to take a picture infront of it.

Great place to watch the sun set....

There is a reason that this beautiful and solidly constructed building occupies this particular piece of land, as it has for over 100 years. The views from this part of town are actually up on a ridge that has an unblocked panorama of downtown to the south and the entire front range to the west. It's nothing short of amazing to sit up here at sunset and watch the sky and clouds as they drift through the shades of orange to pink and then eventually darken to purple, blue and gray as night sets on the metropolitan area.

Really nice castle to look at, I don't think you can enter to look inside though, it's mostly part of the nearby school.

From everybody I know says it's a great School to me it's just that huge castle on top of the hill pretty awesome place to check out at night get some real cool pictures of the city

Unique beautiful building with million dollar views. The actual castle functions as a school which is a closed campus so its not open to the public very often. You cant get to close to the bulding but road has nice views of Denver

I was at the castle 7 years ago because there was a news video shown on one of the local network about people seeing a UFO there. My friend and I filmed the sky to the south of the castle, but didn't see anything UNTIL we got back home and viewed the footage - sure enough, there was a UFO that streaked across the light cloud cover several times! Gotta get back there and check it out again - with a camera! 🛸

Perhaps the best view of Denver City around. Originally built as "WESTMINSTER UNIVERSITY." At one time Pillar of Fire Church, radio station, school, etc..The history & beautiful, long lasting architecture is one of a kind!

I love the castle is beautiful I haven't been inside yet but I would love to get a tour I feel drawn to this place I actually saw it driving down the road and had to get closer.
