Ace Hardware-Alameda Station

This is the best hardware store in our city. Andy, the owner, is dedicated and hard-working, and he does not take his customers for granted. He's always trying to improve his store and help his staff better meet the needs of the public. The store has, in fact, survived and prospered despite formidable competition from all sides because of this devotion to excellence in goods and services. When I need tools or equipment, or helpful advice, this is the place for me. I pass by Home Depot, and I drive past the Ace stores that are nearer to my home - because I know I can trust this store, and the folks who work here.

I love this place. The staff is always super helpful and knows where everything is, feels very small town like. They have most everything I need for small to medium projects. They can be pretty busy sometimes but they stay calm and focused to the individual they’re helping. They can order things in pretty quickly as well of it’s not in store. They also have an insane variety of things in the store, from tools and hardware to plants and toys. Will definitely keep coming back.

I needed my lawn mower blade sharpened so I called around....not every hardware store does this. I walked into the Ace at Alameda Station and walked down aisle 21 to the Ace shop. Eric greeted me and said he would be right with me. After finishing with a customer before me, he saw my blade and said he could sharpen it on a wait. Never had that happen before. I was out of there in minutes. Thank you Eric!

I've been shopping this store for over 15 years. Staff is top notch and truly cares and goes above and beyond. They exceed any expectations one could have of a retail store in today's market. Combine this with quality products and why would I waste my time or money elsewhere?

Great store and helpful associates. I've been here a few times due to the convenience of the location and them getting it right the first time. Prices are a little bit higher but I take that trade for supporting a more local staple in the neighborhood (also free popcorn).

PS - they are very transparent about their bag policy. Don't bring a backpack inside or be prepared to leave it up front.

Went to ACE and was told they changed their process to my suggestion and they now fill up the tanks while they hold your credit card.
Happy and will continue to bring my business to them!

Disappointed - Propane fill up changed to full tank only?!?!
I use your store all the time, convenient and nice people.
I also come to fill my multiple propane tanks and come specifically because I can bring a 1/2, 1/4 full tank and top off.
Came the other day and was told it's a full tank only.
Asked why and it's because people fill, get their bill but don't go in the store to pay.
Discussed the situation with the manger and provided a simple solution - hold credit card or cash before the fill up. The idea was rejected for a couple of reasons of which made no sense when questioned.
Please take some simple steps to keep this service. I will never again bring my propane again until this change is reversed.

Jessica is the best! I needed some copies of a key made and was having the hardest time finding a place. She looked through ALL the keys, found the only one that looked similar, and after making it I can confirm it fits! She saved me a call to a locksmith, and she did it all with a great attitude. I felt like Jessica wanted to really help me, and she did!

Great store with great associates. I went to buy a Traeger there recently and Tray was extremely helpful - showed me where all the accessories were, helped me get the grill into my car, made the whole experience simple and easy. Thank you Tray!

Very helpful staff at this Ace Hardware! They help us out every time we need help with our home improvement needs. They take great pride in making sure their customers are taken care of. If you need help and live in the area the staff here will take care of you!

Haven't even been inside the store, only called to request a car key copy. Corey helped, instantly knew what I needed, and when her store didn't offer what I needed, she directed me to another location that did. Knowledgeable staff, polite service.

Ace Hardware is definitely our local hardware store. We live in a house built in 1900, so the needs for our house can be somewhat "difficult" at times. We have found that Ace Hardware has what we need 99% of the time. Customer Service is excellent at Ace. There is a large parking lot, which is free too! We go here for our paint, hardware, and just about everything else. Prices are good too. Thanks Ace, for all of your help through all these years.

Kind lady working today helped me make a return at this location even though I had a product from them bought at Ace in Aurora and did not want to drive that far. Was extremely convenient and seamless process (even though I did not have original card on hand at the time I used for my purchase) she made it work saved me a load of time and hassle while I was in the area for other errands!

Staff was friendly, I was greeted at the door and led by another to the key cutting desk. Olivia was wonderful. The cashier was also nice. Thanks!

This place makes me want to stop going to Home Depot. The size is smaller but they still have lots. The service people are very nice and made me feel very welcome. It's nice having a place like this so close to the light rail stop too.

I have always loved Ace Hardware / True Value. There's always someone at the front asking you what you need to find. You won't get that kind of customer service at any Home Depot ever! Especially on a Sunday!

these folks are very attentive, helpful. definitely a feel-good store. i've shopped there many times over the past couple-three years ( they're just barely a bit more than a mile from our washington park home). real down-home kinda folks, and, it being a hardware store, is filled with all kinds of cool stuff.

Justin was great .I have two Home Depot accounts
but every time I shop there I am invisible to the associates. They scatter when they see me. I will be shopping at this location from now on. Thanks for your help.

Stan did an amazing job on fixing my screen. He knew just what to do even though it was an old screen. He found a replacement part from his treasure trove of odd ends. You are terrific Stan. Thank you!

You know that feeling when you're getting a key made and you're sure it's not going to work well when you get home. Then you get home and it works as well as the original and you're so stoked. If you like that kind of thing, shop here! They're good at what they do.

So very helpful people there...Finally found a fix to my thistle problem! And unlike the big box stores, only had to walk a few feet to find everything I needed for all my other projects! I'll definitely be going back soon!
