I was in foster care as a kid and am currently on food stamps and medicaid and they have always done a good job.

I went here expecting it to be miserable. I was wrong. Every single person who worked there was friendly and proactive, helping me get to where I needed to be before I even asked. Getting there was a bit of a trek, but the people made a positive impact one during a particularly difficult time.

I have had to have help from time to time. Sadly this is that time. I faxed in my application for food stamps and called two days later to check in it. It was pending. The customer service rep (I so wish I had gotten her name) said that she will see what she could do about getting me a call back that day. I was hopeful but not expecting a call that day. My technician, Christina called me within the hour! She was great to talk to. I was so tempted to pour my heart out because she was professional and understanding but I stayed focused on the information she needed. This morning...11-9-16...there was a good stamp deposit on my card. Thank you Christina and Customer Service!
For those of you complaining... If you're not truthful or if you're rude...really think about it. Who would appreciate that when all they're trying to do is help but staying in compliance with the state? They don't make the rules but it's up to us as the ones in need to present ourselves as progressive individuals who aren't entitled to this type of help. This is where you ease up on pride and take it down a notch and look at the reality of your situation and who can really help. They're not coming to you...remember you came to them. Respect and honesty goes a long way. I'm proud to say that I am proof.

I had called this morning to request a food stamp card for my son because I misplaced mine the text that answered the phone her name is Deanna .S she went over and above her job duty she was very helpful and concern and make sure if I needed anything else from Denver human services and I want to say I appreciate her for helping me not only for the request I asked for but other forms as well due to her asking me if there's anything else I can so I would like to give Miss Deanna five stars thank you very much from Kizzy Simmons

I had a really good experince at the castro this week. I was and and truly impressed. That staff was extremely helpful and hospitable even the police officer who usualy glares at you was freindly. They expidited an emergent issue with a family member. It is important to note that these cival servants obviously do care and rarely receive any credit for their actions...so heres to you cival workers....KUDOS.

I have had two more suprisingly steller interactions with castro staff and services since my first review. Thank you Castro staff.

Shenshakea Sanders is the best case worker I've ever encountered, she genuinely cares about her customers and truly makes a one feel like a person and not just another case to get through. Thank you for everything!

Definitely fill out your application through PEAK online first before going in... I did and I only had to go and drop off my paperwork and pick up my benefits, it only took about an hour

Raven helped me by listening to my situation, researched, explained what I needed to do, then verified with her supervisor. Thank you

I have visited thus establishment for many years, and the service has been impecable. There is large number of people that go in and out of the building on a daily basis and the workers always remain friendly and willing to inform about one´s rights and such. I am just very thankful for all the help that I have received from this wonderful community place

Grateful to have them, even though there can always be improvements made. I'd like to count the number of able people who come there asking for services vs the number of able people who apply to help be of service there.

A lot of great services here. There will be a wait. This is also the only DHS office with free child care.

Phone call only right now, but I was like 44 in queue and they got to me In 20 minutes very fast, precise, and helpful

I went first thing in the morning and didn't have to wait. Just be pleasant to them and they will be good to you.
