Mile High is a a top notch facility for those serious about BJJ. It is a welcoming facility which is full of knowledgeable instructors. The environment is clean and friendly to all. Classes are led in professional manner and on time. The Owner/Lead instructor Matt is very friendly and has a true desire to teach and better the sport. Best BJJ in CO. I’ve been training jiu-jitsu for a long time , in several different cities and with several different groups over the years. I’ve been with Mile high Gracie Jiu-Jitsu for years and this group is amongst the best. Good depth of experience and practice styles. Are you young, aggressive, and interested in competition? This group provides for this. More interested in fundamentals of self-protection - ditto. Older, new to the art, or more interested in a calmer , progressive approach to training- check. Also, the group is collaborative in its training methodology rather than non-stop high intensity, so I think less risk of injuries In this group than some.

Matt is a very talented instructor and after just a few classes my confidence improved not just in class but other areas of life and I am exited to continue learning the worlds greatest martial art from the trusted lineage of the Gracie family!

I'm from out of town and was really looking for a great place to drill and roll. I walked in off the street and Matt took me in with no hesitation. A great place to train for sure!!

The team MHGJJ are bar none, the best academy in the metro Denver area, carrying the Gracie torch. Their instructors are legit, and the classes are suitable for every level. Highly recommend!

Absolutely fantastic! This is an amazing gym for new and advanced people. I came in and was a little embarrassed because I didn't really know anything, but this crew smashed that down quickly. Everyone is extremely welcoming and friendly. Each person I practice or roll with is encouraging and super helpful if I need help understanding a move or a break when I get winded (not once have I ever felt judged, stupid, or unsupported by any of the instructors or people training there). The instructors are better than I hoped for; caring, funny, helpful, and knowledgeable. 10/10 would recommend.

Great instructors, cannot recommend highly enough

I shopped around the typical big schools in Denver. But they are all the typical "30 days free" with a six month contract, with registration fees of $200 bucks and a monthly payment that rivals a car payment! (I use to work for a MA school like that) Lets just say if a school won't list it's prices over the phone, DON'T GO THERE. They are 50% instructors and 50% salesmen. And they will just try to get an "intro" class so they can then manipulate you in person, it's easier that way.

But anyway, mile high is NOT one of them. I have been taking martial arts for 6 years, and Morgan has been one of my favorite instructors in the short time I have trained with them. All of the instructors are down to earth, they want to help you, and not just make a buck off from you. And their biggest emphasis is to keep calm while rolling, and to breathe! Two factors most of us forget in rolling and life in general. This place is affordable, fun, no contract (life is unpredictable) and really good technical instruction. These guys have been doing BJJ for at least 10 years, so don't think for one second that you have to spend a ton of money and go to a big renown school to learn great BJJ down to earth instruction. And if you look at my review history, you know it's hard to get a excellent score from me, but Mile High has got it! Thanks for giving me confidence mile high!!!

Great culture, great instructors, and clean facility. Learning BJJ is a long, fruitful journey and this academy has all the tools to set you up for success.

I’ve trained at 5+ jiu jitsu/MMA gyms in Colorado and Mile High by far has the most knowledgeable instructors. They have at least 5 black belts (I may be forgetting some) who give stellar advice and instruction every time you roll with them. They have some top competitors who swear by Mile High as well. One of their brown belts, Troy Everett, beat Chris Leben in a Fight2Win main event so you know the training is legit. Their facility is very clean and the atmosphere is welcoming and laid back. I’m making the switch to MMA training, but in the future I will definitely be returning to this gym. 10/10
