La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Trinidad

Absolutely the best La Quinta I've ever stayed in. In fact it was far better than most Marriott's & Hilton's I've stayed in. Everything was perfect. Fresh, fluffy towels & oversized wash cloths, VERY quiet room (no noise at all from adjacent rooms) and a hot breakfast with (gasp) a menu & a server! I've traveled a LOT and I can't say enough good about this place. I'll definitely stay here if I should pass through here again.

Very nice hotel compared to previous locations that I have stayed at. The front desk clear was very nice and referred us to a local eatery for dinner. The room was very clean and nice, however a little warm to my liking. The facility was great and in the morning we received a bag breakfast. We each took one and later that day came across a homeless person in desperate need of some food. It is amazing how something such a bag breakfast cannot only benefit you but even others. We will definitely return in the future when we go that way again. Many blessings to all for the New Year!

We stayed here on our way to Breckinridge from Central Texas and it was a great choice. An inviting and friendly vibe and I love the extra efforts made to make that happen especially Christmas decor. The front desk guy, Kenneth was so great and helpful even at 12:30am. Rooms were spacious and very clean. Breakfast was only decent but the friendly, cheerful ladies in charge made up for it!
Highly recommend!

I drive Texas --> Colorado pretty often and I make it a point to take the New Mexico way JUST for this hotel. Good rooms, great service, tasty breakfast and lovely views around Trinidad. For the price you pay the quality is a steal. If you're in the area for any reason it's a must

All I can tell you is that if you’re visiting Trinidad, CO, you need to stay here. It’s so cozy and has an incredibly friendly staff and best of all they are pet friendly for both dogs and cats! Hot breakfast every morning, a beautiful outdoor seating area backing up to the mountains with a clear view of Fishers Peak. You are literally 2-3 miles from town and you have access to public fly fishing in the city. We had the absolute best time visiting and staying at this hotel but watch out for bears! We left early in the morning to head back to FL and they front desk clerk packed me and my husband a to go breakfast bag, so thoughtful!

The staff were very friendly, easy check in and room was clean and comfy. The entry lobby and breakfast area was nicely decorated with plenty of seating. Good breakfast options but was understaffed for this time of year. Had to wait for some things.

Fantastic hotel. The staff are very caring. They maintain the hotel exceptionally well. The hotel decor was a very well-done Christmas setup. The breakfast food and staff were very accommodating. The hotel is extremely dog friendly as I saw at least 35 dogs in the morning. The pool is indoor and very nice. There are some nice views. This is one of the few hotels I would love to return to. The only issue some folks may have is ..is it is very near a very well maintained Walmart.

After a long day of traveling this was a much needed stop.
The room was spacious, the beds were comfortable and cozy.
The free breakfast was very good with a large selection to choose from.
Our overall stay was great and would highly recommend this hotel.

This is a great place to stay! Very handy location. The hotel is spotless clean, staff are friendly and efficient, and they have a great pool indoors. The hot, fresh breakfast is excellent -- way better than most hotels. I will definitely stay here again!

I've stayed at this location a few times now, and it's always great. Super Walmart next door for those extra travel items. Big auxiliary parking lot in front if you're pulling a trailer (I was once, super convenient). Breakfast is great with Dairy Free alternatives, and the staff is always super friendly.

This is the best hotel I've ever stayed at and I compare every other stay to this one. Prices are reasonable, the room is quiet and the bed is very comfortable. Great modern bathroom with good water pressure in the shower. We have been upgraded to bigger rooms for free. Breakfast is complementary and the selection is great. Located right off the highway and next to a Walmart which is super convenient. Every time I pass through Trinidad I stay here and every other hotel disappoints me by comparison.

Once again, another great stay at La Quinta in Trinidad. Always convenient and easy to stop and get some well needed rest.

This is our third stay here. The property is always so clean. Front staff is friendly and helpful. The hot tub is clean and hot. They have a nice lounge area that is beautifully decorated.

We enjoyed everything about our stay there!! Highly recommend it! Very family and pet friendly. Clean rooms and the breakfast was excellent!!! Beautiful facilities and friendly staff. We'll definitely stay again in the future.

The building and rooms are nice and clean.
The hallway on the 2nd floor smelled a bit odd, but that was all.
Room had microwave and fridge (not freezer).
The shower took 30 seconds to work/spray out of the top, but I’m just glad it ended up working.

It’s right next to Walmart and feels like a safe area.

Specific breakfast items are offered daily, for example today, they would serve you your choice of eggs, sausage, hash browns, beans, queso, or green chili sauce. They also had Biscuits and gravy. Other than that they had the typical fruit, cereal, bread, and milk (almond milk too).
Would love to see allergen friendly foods too, but it’s not something I’ve seen at any hotels yet, so I don’t expect it.

From what I've seen and heard, if you're going to be stopping in Trinidad CO for the night , you definitely need to stay here. Rooms are amazing, and everything is very well presented. The only thing that I would change is that I would have placed it closer to the interstate highway. They person at the front desk was extremely helpful and helpful. Definitely will be returning here if I'm ever stopping for the night.

Lovely facility through and through! Clean, modern, styled for comfort. Good breakfast selection with hot meal option. Super nice patio out back with view on undeveloped space. Unfortunately didn't get to use it because it rained.

Best Motel i had in 7 Full USA Trips. Pool way above the usual standard. Open 24/7 and super clean, you can see the ground. Also it plays music. Nice renovated rooms very clean! Awesome lobby, fitness center and above average breakfast too! This Place should be the national standard!!!

No complaints. Employees are pleasant and helpful. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Dog walking area, very pet friendly. Pool is open 24 hrs. There were children laughing and playing in the pool at breakfast (what a great way to start the day 🙂).

This is an awesome hotel and I highly recommend it! We just stayed 5 nights here for an event being held in Aguilar. The room was clean and comfortable. It had both a fridge and a microwave. The pool is open 24 hours, so if you get in late, you can still catch a hot tub. The breakfast was very good and the staff for it were super friendly. It was a pleasure coming down to breakfast each day to see what the special was. My fave was the biscuits and gravy! If I could change one thing, it would be to move Aguilar a little closer to this hotel so we don't have to drive so far for our event! I hope we have the pleasure of staying here again in the future.
