I went out to Woodlawn recently to find the grave of my brother, Dennis who drowned in the Fox River in 1947 (before I was born) and to see where my grandma and grandpa were buried. I was surprised to find the location of the plots at Woodlawn Cemetery online. When I visited the graves I was disappointed to see the flat ground stones covered with mud. I saw one of the wonderful groundskeepers, Pat, working on the lawns st the time and asked his assistance. He followed me to the grave and said he would take care of it. After all these years he said the stones sometimes sink (not the case anymore). He and the great crew dug the stones up added pea gravel and planted new grass seed. The grave stones look brand new. All in a days work for this fantastic crew. I can’t say enough about this cemetery. Definitely the very best groundskeepers in Green Bay. I would give them 20 stars if I could. Jamie was great to work with too. This is customer service at its very best! Great job guys! Thank you so much!

Woodlawn cemetery is a very serene and peaceful place, which definitely adds to the many reasons why I would highly recommend it for those who lost their loved ones. The true gem is Jamie, who is very compassionate, supportive, resourceful, professional and helpful. She went above and beyond to help us arrange everything before and after the funeral. After the burial she even took time to arrange all the roses and other flowers on the grave. She also volunteered to help out with paperwork for the funeral home since we are from out of town. Jamie made sure that at the time of loss we were truly supported and helped. We are very grateful.

My mother recently became a resident at Woodlawn. As a tribute to her military service, I wanted to have a veteran plaque installed. Thank you to Jamie at Woodlawn for expediting the veterans paperwork, contacting me immediately upon plaque arrival, informing me of installation date and sent a photo upon completion. Jamie also stated that there are celebrated events at Woodlawn for veterans. My mother would have been elated knowing that her service is forever honored. I appreciate all the staff at Woodlawn and it shows through the well kept grounds along with the excellent customer service. My parents selected the best resting place Green Bay has to offer!!

Pilgrim pride. My 2x great grandfather lived and died in Allouez many years ago. One day, while I was researching genealogy, I had the excellent fortune of speaking with a caretaker of Woodlawn Cemetery.

I have been to quite a few shrines, cemeteries, and places of rest, but Woodlawn is really on top of their game. Not only did the very nice woman who assisted me inform me that she had personally presided over the burials of nearly all newcomers, but she didn't bat an eye when I told her I was looking for someone who had passed in the 40s.

When I pass I hope to be buried by my forefathers, and after many years of observation I can confidently say that Woodlawn is where I want to go.
What a peaceful place.

My families experience with Woodlawn Cemetery goes back to 1945 when my Grandparents purchased 5 burial spaces. My Aunt Betsy died last year from Covid. She was 97 years young. I was given instructions from her about Woodlawn as to what to do upon her death. I live in the Northeast. From the first phone call to the last, Jamie Ireland (Executive Director) exceeded my expectations at every level. She was ethical, thorough, knowledgeable, kind and thoughtful. I felt as if I knew her previously but I've never been to Green Bay. She made me feel like a friend. It seems like we are all going though difficult times nowadays. It certainly was nice to find someone who is very proud of her place of business. What could have been somewhat of a difficult process, was seamless because of Jamie and her crew!

A big thank you to Jamie at Woodlawn Cemetery for her assistance in arranging a beautiful graveside Celebration of Life service for my husband, Paul. Since I reside in North Carolina, we were able to coordinate everything via email or telephone. My family and I greatly appreciated Jamie’s support and guidance during a difficult time.

Jamie at Woodlawn Cemetery went above and beyond to help me locate a family member who passed 100 years ago. Her knowledge and dedication assisting others is beyond exceptional. At Woodlawn Cemetery the original burial areas are 120-150 years old and maintained well. Many older markers are hard to locate, unmarked or missing, so locating an older site can be daunting. Jamie went above and beyond her duties to help me locate a long lost family plot. I was overjoyed and appreciate the thoughtfulness and assistance I received. All I can say is Thank you Thank you Thank you.

Woodlawn is a memorial to Green Bay and that is something their staff fully appreciates. I met with Krista who was extremely helpful and truly went above and beyond, answering my many questions about the cemetery's past and present.

Woodlawn Cemetery is beautiful and large. It’s a big soggy in the spring, as are most things in northeastern Wisconsin, but I’ve also visited in the fall and the colors are lovely. There are lots of old graves with a couple tombs and some nice statues.

I had an exceptionally positive experience with Woodlawn. I cannot day enough how wonderful Jamie is to work with at a difficult time of life. . I had 3 sets of cremains and wanted to put these folks to rest. I had shopped around the area and found high prices and sales pressure. Woodlawn is a bargain
Jamie is so kind to work with.
I highly recommend the columbarium. Again thank you Jamie!

A very old but currently operating cemetery that includes the Minahan Tomb. Resting place for the Titanic victim - You can see the tomb as you drive on Riverside Dr so you do not have to enter the cemetery!
