SMICKSBURG,PA

This was my first visit to Smicksburg and I loved it. Such a friendly and inviting group of people. Awesome small businesses. A great little museum with super friendly and helpful people. If you are looking for unique Christmas gifts and stocking stuffers. Stuff that you won't find in your Walmart's and big box stores. The trip to Smicksburg is definitely worth it. I would plan for an entire day. There's a quite a few small stores and you could spend a lot of time in the little museum. It's a really great place.

Love to visit here. Everyone is so pleasant and courteous. A nice little escape from grumpy folks in Pittsburgh. It's another kind of life here and I adore it.

What a great place to visit! There are tons of shops, and everyone is so nice. We will be coming back for sure. We stayed at the Smicksburg Inn and were not disappointed. The country junction and shops were great.

I love doing the Smicksburg festivals. Especially eating at Country Junction. Their BBQ Pork sandwich and French fries are amazing. I gontonthe Amish bulk store for many great prices and selections too.

Quaint little western Pennsylvania town surrounded by Amish country. The people are very friendly and the park has displays about the town's historic buildings. Very nice place to visit, especially when they are having a festival, which is almost every month.

Smicksburg PA is a quaint town with several small shops. Throughout the year, Smicksburg hosts different events with vendors and food. The Fall Festival and Christmas craft show are two of the best. If you are driving through the area, you should stop.

I come here often. There's a quiet little campground called rockytop that I like to visit that has a large restroom and is handicapped friendly. The stores downtown have changed some but not much. Most are not handicapped friendly nor are they stroller friendly. Like all things the stores are a bit high priced but the quality is a little better .

Went up for the Fall Fest. Just a fun small town.

Very small PA village. Had a fall fest happening when we arrived. Lovely hand crafted items as well as Amish products and an assortment of baked goods. Visitors center had very good displays and info on area. Very interesting and informative.

Lovely little town! Lot of variety in shops, pottery place, several places to eat, lovely park, several churches. Country Junction Restaurant on Eileen street has wonderful breakfasts, Friday night fish n' chips as well as Amish made desserts! Time works Antiques is on that corner of Eileen and Smicksburg/ Dayton Road. They have booths with handmade items like jewelry, wood, pottery. As well as a good variety of antiques all in individual booths. Something for everyone that's for sure. Very friendly people in the little town of Smicksburg! You'll very likely see Amish horse and buggies in the area. There's several Amish shops up 954 on way out of Smicksburg in either direction! Worth the drive out as it's lovely farmland in and around the surrounding area.

An amazing small town, very small, got some nice stores.

Very interesting place. Much more to see than one would expect from such a small place. Drive slowly and carefully, though. Highest concentration of horse and buggy traffic I've ever seen and that includes the Lancaster area. Your patience in overtaking will be tried here and there.

Interesting store...Would like more Amish crafts...

Nice little town

We loved Smicksburg, the shop owners were lovely people. We loved the Amish atmosphere. The clippity clop of their hooves, real down home feeling.
We hoped to come back again as soon as possible.
My wife got her dream to have an authentic Amish Quilt. We bought it at the actual home of an Amish Family, whom were very courteous and lovely people. They let us visit their barn and take pictures of their buggies and horses.

Sad to see many shops closed but very pleased with shops that are. Great baked goods from Amish families along the way.

Great applefest very friendly vendors. Great apple cider slushy.
