Dover Forge

Experience was great, got seated right away on a Thursday night without a reservation, on another night might need one. The place is a restaurant and pool hall combo but separated enough so it’s not weird. The food was tasty, tried a special skirt steak blue cheese app, truffle polenta fries and the rack of lamb special. Decor was also perfect, old school ski chalet chick.

Absolutely incredible. Every single thing we ordered was amazing. The smoker is on point, incredible creamy mac and cheese, perfect brisket chili. The Vermont beer selection was excellent as was the vast array of delicious BBQ sauces that were brought to our table unsolicited. The service was also amazing. A+++++

The Rack of Ribs was the BEST Ribs I have EVER TASTED! And my wife said the Salmon was to die for...

Best ribs I have ever had. Very tender, perfectly smoked, with good barbecue sauce. Interesting side orders: street corn and fried pickles. We got a takeout order due to the pandemic, but did like the rustic atmosphere inside and would like to come back to eat inside. Nice staff.

Had a wonderful evening with great food for both adults and kids. Staff was amazing, very friendly and helpful. Kids menu has a few more options than the usual and food was much nicer than any other restaurant we have been to. Don't miss out on the ribs and cheese cake for dessert. Ping pong table at the bar was a great hit with the kids. Will certainly be back next time we come skiing.

Great time! There are really two sides to this place. 1. A sit down area for a nice quiet dinner. Make reservations for that area ahead of time. 2. The bar area... This is where we went.

Bar was good sized and there was several pool tables, darts and ping pong. We showed up with 3 family's and kids in two. They were very accommodating to us all and the food was great. Definitely will be back.

Dover Forge is a 5 Star establishment and one of my all time favorite places in the Mount Snow Area. I would recommend it to anyone and everyone I know back in New York, Long Island, Jersey, and Los Angeles. Anyone who vacations in the Dover /Wilmington area and or lives there. I gear this toward visitors, only because I doubt that theres anyone in the community that hasn't been there and doesn't already love it. Not only is it a beautiful restaurant with the sweetest staff you'll ever meet, the food is second to none, with the freshest of ingredients that you can see both in taste and presentation, are cooked with love and attention to detail. Allen the manager greets his guests like family, which always makes a place extra special to me. You just don't get that everywhere. He smiles from his heart and you can feel it. It seems the whole place has a whole lot of heart in it. The nightlife here is also amazing. The staff in the back bar are excellent and the bartenders in both the restaurant bar and the back bar are exceptional. They have open mic nights too in addition to live music which is excellent. The band that night was a beautiful girl with an amazing acoustic guitar player and singer male partner. They were awesome. I love this place

Dover Forge is worth the trip! The food was absolutely delicious and the service was wonderful. My husband was so impressed with the BBQ he ordered food to go after we finished our dinner.

Every time I visit, I have a better time. Dover Forge is the place to go for a solid family meal, while One More Time is my go-to for having a drink and some billiards. The staff are always friendly and the drinks are good. My only problem is the fact that their wings are presented without sauce, so you have to add it on your own or awkwardly dip them in. Frankly, though, the wings are solid even without sauce, and the variety of BBQ and hot sauce options is a big plus. I don't recommend the flight of sauces, though-- you're better off saving five dollars and ordering whatever sauce sounds best.

2/27/18. Our gift card brought us to have dinner at Dover Forge and I’m so happy that I had that opportunity. Alice our waitress was so pleasant and helpful and treated us like friends. We trusted her suggestions and recommendations and had a most delicious meal. The butternut squash bisque was the best I’ve ever had and the meatloaf was out of this world good. Cheers to the chef!! Wish I lived close by as I’d be there weekly. Next time in VT, I’ll be there for sure.

This place was absolutely delicious, I have no idea where the bad reviews are coming from. I consider myself to be a pretty hard judge of food, and my husband and I weee both impressed. We had the special of lamb sherperd's pie. My kids had yummy housemade venison bolognese and rabbit sausage. We also had kick-ass fried pickles.i agree this place doesn't have a glamorous updated decor but who cares it's for post skiing. Go!

Delicious catfish po boy and meatloaf sandwich. Perfectly cooked, awesome atmosphere, coffee is exceptional as was the dessert. Excellent service. Don't miss out, process are very reasonable

I had a great time here. Went after a long day at Mt. Snow. They have pool tables, ping pong, foosball, and darts. On the other side they have a restaurant with really awesome American style food. Everything I had was delicious. Will definitely come back when I am in town.

The manager Alan is so nice, he found a table for us, and then we ordered the crispu duck, it was amazing, so good as we left we booked our reservation for two weeks when we are back up there. Reservations are a must. Well worth it.

The food is excellent and the wait staff engaging. They went out of their way to accommodate our keto needs, even taking back a meal that was breaded. Good stuff.

You GOTTA EAT HERE! Best ribs me and my boyfriend has ever had along with scallops and pheasant sausage. This place is cozy warm and delish!

Great little venue for weddings. Staff really work hard here to make each event special.

Had the wings and the pork. Both were great. Nice clean place, will definitely be back. Prices a little on the high side.
