we love this store. finally a place with a huge selection of clothing items etc(huge and i mean huge selection of shoes and boots!) that you actually need at fair prices with lots of sales help who know the merch and are always available to assist with a smile. impossible to leave without buying something terrific. forget that trip to burlington, rutland, middlebury etc. make a beeline to this retail destination..............you won't be disappointed. thank you mary and to all of your crew, we'll be back!

It's so great to see a store evolve and stay in business after all these years. My mother took me here when I was a kid to get shoes. They carry more casual clothes now for outdoors and hunting. Still worth a visit!

This store is simply amazing! We did a lot of Christmas shopping here and the staff even wrapped our gifts for us. It has an "old fashion, hometown feel" to it. Everyone should check this retailer out!

I LOVE this place! They have a beautiful selection of shoes (dansko, blundstone, keen, birkenstock and more.) Prices are always significantly less than any other store in VT that sells these brands. Their team is always super friendly and helpful! Totally worth a stop.

I've been going here since I was a kid for back-to-school. Now that I am a mom, it's my go-to locally-owned store with high quality shoes and clothing. Love the Patagonia and Johnson Woolen Mills collection. Would love to see Made in USA Levis.

Durfees is certainly a store like no other in the area……Clothing and shoes for everyone in the family. Jewelry and assecories for the women…..hats, gloves and toys for the guys. Home gifts and plenty of gifts for the children. A must stop shop in the middle of Fair Haven

Geared toward flatlanders, but good work clothing store. A bit over priced, but that's expected in a large tourist town. I get my socks here, and a few other work items.

High quality, reasonably priced men's, women's and kids clothing. Nicest people work there. Very helpful and knowledgeable!!

A place everyone should visit and buy some shoes jackets and many other accoutrements. The staff is amazing, the store full of great things. A nice change from your big stores.

I was looking for a local place near Castleton that carried cold weather gear. The staff at Gilmore Hardware recommended Carl Durfee's. I was blown away by their selection of clothing. I definitely will shop here again!
