The Marshalton Inn

Food was good, service was great. It was a great little historical place too. They basically put tables in the different rooms in the house. We happened to have the bigger table and the only table in what looked like the dining room. So it almost felt like we had a private room. It was interesting that they open only from 5 to 9 pm in the weekend.

We decided to have our Thanksgiving meal prepared by professionals this year, and we were not disappointed. So very good. Old world charm, excellent cuisine, and proper hospitality. The owner and wife, among others, greeted us to make us feel welcome. They truly take pride in what they do. We cannot wait to return!

I almost don't want to do this because I don't want too many people to find out about it! This has to be the greatest little bar in the Philadelphia area! We sat with Kathy at the bar who made us outstanding holiday cocktails that we've never had anywhere before. If I could give her six stars I would!

We really enjoyed eating Sunday lunch here! I came in for the House Fondue (need at least 2 people for this), however, I ended up getting the French Dip & fries, which were both fresh and delicious.

We had our own private dining room for my mom’s 70th birthday party which was great to keep my toddler entertained lol. Food was amazing and the service was even better!

Beautiful atmosphere, friendly staff, and incredible creations. Chef David Cox crafts dishes that are both beautiful and delicious. A true gem in Chester county.

Mac and cheese was delicious, had it as an appetizer. Fish and chips were really good, but the fish was a little salty in my opinion. Key lime pie was excellent. Waitress was friendly and attentive, overall atmosphere was very cozy and relaxing by the fireplace. Definitely recommend!

We just had the perfect wedding's rehearsal dinner at the Inn this weekend: Our dining room upstairs was elegant, quaint and private. The service was discrete yet extremely attentive. The fall themed dinner menu was absolutely delectable as well as balanced and original; all our guests commented on it! All the event's arrangements were carefully and professionally coordinated by Heather. Heather also came-up with wonderful wine pairings for our meal, so the entire affair was quite a success! We will be back!

The food was delicious, but I think one of the highlights was our server, Sarah! We had a party of 8 and we were upstairs in a lovely room. She was so efficient and personable! She knew the specials by heart and didn't mind repeating it for us . At all times she was so positive and friendly!!

If you like character, this is a must stop. Your dining experience takes you back to colonial times. The atmosphere was wonderful and the food was delightful. Although the fish and chips were not as crispy as I like, the other three meals my party had got rave reviews; the desserts were also fantastic. I recommend you stop in and see for yourself.

The staff and food was fabulous. We were impressed with the place and enjoyed the history of the site. We will return soon.

What a pleasant surprise. We drove over from the Main Line and so glad we did.
The escargot is one of the most incredible items I have tasted in my life. The steak is absolutely the best I have ever had anywhere!!! I cant wait to go back.
Nothing much detracts from the experience, but the lighting could have been a little brighter even if by candlelight. The octopus could have been a little more tender but still very good.

Great service. Good Covid set up so everyone feels comfortable enjoying a great meal with friends. When eating outside, your dog is welcome. Inn takes reservations for dinner unlike 4 Dog which is also great.

Food is well prepared and soon you will have your favorites memorized.

Lemon Meringue pie is awesome and enough to share with 3 others. Also available for purchase as a whole pie (guaranteed party show stopper).

Food was amazing! Service was on point even though it was busy. I had the Fish and Chips and my wife had the Mac n cheese... Bacon wrapped shrimp appetizer was very delicious.

First time here, usually go to Four Dogs but we wanted to make reservation. There is outside seating here as well just no dogs allowed. The food is the same at both places, very good. My steak was a lil over done but not horrible so I didn't complain but our server noticed but didn't say anything instead she comped our drinks with out even saying a word. The crabcakes are a favorite here. Will definitely be going back again n again.

We were @ Four Dogs, which was yummy as always!! Celebrated my birthday w the family. From 6 months old, to 66yrs old, everyone had a great time!

This is an excellent restaurant for dinner. I am able to order things like foie gras by giving a few days notice. The drinks and meals are always very good here. There is across the parking lot the Four Dogs Tavern which allows one to bring their four legged family member with you.

The food was excellent and the atmosphere was very good. An inn from the 1700's. The salmon and potatoes were delicious. This was our first time there but I am sure it will not be our last. The Four Dogs resturant is right next door and the share the menu, but the Marshalton Inn is more formal.

The 7 hour slow cooked pork was amazing! No knife required Best coleslaw I've ever had. My wife had the fish and chips and loved it - made with Mahi--mahi. Attentive wait staff and pleasant atmosphere We'll be back!
