Diane's Sidewalk Deli

I recently went for lunch because it's one of my favorite places to go for chicken salad and potato salad. They have the best. Portions are huge there. Enough to take home for several more meals. And the Cole slaw was the best I've had there. It is not finely chopped enough for my digestive system so I take it home and chop it up in my mini food processor. Even the salad was better this time with more greens. They have great service too.

A great deli with New York style sandwiches as well as local favorites. There is a large seating area with table service but they also do take out. Service is friendly and fast. Even when crowded the food comes out fast. HUGE portions so come hungry.

Amazing food and staff. The Reuben was delightful it was 2 meals for me!

Came here for a bite to eat after hiking mt misery in valley forge. Delicious! Will be coming back for sure.

Good food at a good price. We had the French toast with bacon and the eggs with bacon and home fries. Both items where very good and we would eat here aging next time we are in the area.

Since we moved our shop, haven't been able to get over here in more than a year. Beside some minor Covid rules, nothing has changed; still the same exceptional quality in ridiculously huge portions!

Great Deli in NY style! It was pretty good & a friendly environment!

Their turkey clubs are enough to feed an army. They’re mouth watering. Portions are so big for what you pay for. Everything I’ve tried there has been good. Cheesesteaks also very good. Service is always quick and friendly. Love them.

Have had lunch there several times both dine in and take out. The food is always excellent. The portions are generous and the service is very good. Both breakfast and lunch are always good. Would recommend this place to everyone.

Stopped in here yesterday for a to go sandwich with my husband and was so impressed! We waited maybe 2 minutes for our sandwiches and they weighed probably 10 lbs. It was more than enough for 2 meals each. Great food and the staff was super friendly. Can't wait to go back!

Friendly people, very reasonable prices, service was fast, they did not forget one item and were attentive.

Home fries are very good and they make their eggs not too dry which I like. Will definitely keep going.

Wow. Compared to Manhattan bagel, Diane's is SO MUCH more delicious, friendly, and affordable. I ordered a breakfast sandwich, unknowingly just after the breakfast hours ended (I noticed the sign on the door as I was picking up) but when I asked on the phone the friendly woman said they were still serving it. I thank her for that, because this is one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've ever had! The bagel is so soft! It's not a traditional bagel with a hole in the middle, it's much better! Love it. Very friendly and respectful staff also. Most definitely will be ordering more from Diane's going forward. Curious to try out the lunch menu also. Thank you 😁

Best place in the area for inexpensive, classic American diner food

Edit 7/12/23. Just leaned that Dianne’s closed down. The news brings me lots of sadness, as I started going there regularly for lunch when I took a job in the area. Thanks so much to the owners for always taking care of me, you guys were the best. Thank you!

I ordered the 5 ounce bacon cheeseburger. It was great. Ordered French fries, if you're a French fry freak like me, they give you lots of them for the price. Veggie salad could be a meal in itself. Staff very friendly courteous and professional. Too bad they only have one location.

We are frequent patrons with groups of friends. Absolutely the best food. Diane & her husband provide large portions of great food at reasonable prices. The staff is very friendly, helpful & courteous. We've used them for catering on several occasions and were always extremely pleased. Become a regular & it'll remind you of "Cheers".

Oh, how I miss Diane’s! Used to work about 5-10 minutes away and my department ordered lunch from them 1-2 times/week. Being the designated pick up person, I got to know the super friendly and pleasant staff who prepared consistently excellent food. As other reviewers have mentioned, their chicken cheesesteak special overflowing with a side of french fries remains one of the best I’ve ever had, and I was born and raised in Philly. Other lunch items always equally delicious. I might have to stop by the next time I’m near Chesterbrook. Wish there was a deli like this in Center City!
