Trading Post Depot

We have used Trading Post twice for custom tables. Recently, I picked out my wood cut for a coffee table. Ed was very good about explaining how it could be finished, down to rounding out the edges to make the straight cut side look like a natural edge. The piece was completed in less than 8 weeks and looks amazing, and was a very fair price. This is the second time we’ve been beyond impressed with their work.

Great service and the selection of live edge material along with the different stains The stands they have and can get are another great feature for your new table. I like my table so much I had a few more smaller pieces made.

In the short time I've worked with Ed, Joe, John and Sandy, I have been so impressed. The way they interact with and respond to customers is simply outstanding. I feel like I'm the most important customer each time I see them, and that is "old school" special. The work they do is beyond compare. If you get a chance, stop in and prepare to be impressed.

Ed was a class act in helping my wife and I commission a sugar maple tree dining room table. It was a pleasure working with him and his father. I highly recommend the Trading Post Depot to anyone who wants an outstanding piece of furniture. Everybody who comes to my house always point out the table and it has really become a show piece. My mom and I love antiquing and we happened upon the Trading Post Depot today. Had the pleasure of meeting Ed and Lara. I've never felt so welcomed and important. We had great conversation and got to see some of Ed's beautiful tables. I'm in between real estate at the moment, but I know exactly where I'll be coming for our dining table, outdoor table and fireplace mantel! I would highly recommend stopping by. I would recommend the Trading Post Depot to anyone. My husband and I moved to Spring City in 2018 when I was 8 months pregnant. We needed an entertainment/console table for our small living room. I didn't want to go shopping around for something that I would have to settle on and wasn't quite what I wanted. We had driven by the store a few times and I decided I wanted to check them out. We thought of an idea, sketched it out and measured the area. We took it to Ed and he worked his magic and made us the perfect piece to tie our room together and provide the exact functionality we needed. I still, 2 years later, could not be happier with this piece.

Was shopping around for a mantle piece and was fed up looking online and big box stores. My wife and I stopped in at the Trading Post Depot and was greeted with a smile. We said what we were looking for and was shown around the entire shop through amazing pieces finished, unfinished, and in process. Finally we all found the perfect piece after about 15 mins. We will be coming back for more and more pieces. Can't recommend this place enough. The stuff in here was awe inspiring.

I had a great experience at this store.... The owner Ed helped me pick out a beautiful piece of live edge wood for a picture frame I wanted to build. He gave me a great price ( I shopped around at other places as well). Ed said to come back if I needed another small piece at his expense to complete it because I was unsure of the size. I thought the service was superior as they truly care about the customer.

An absolute treasure. The live edge wood selection is jaw dropping and Ed gave us a great deal on a slab & round tree disk. He was helpful in discussing how we want to use them to make our own statement furniture pieces and advising on the best way to do so. His shop is filled with gold from doors & shutters to windows and wood. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Love Trading Post! I've been a customer for years and can always find something interesting here. It's great talking with Ed about ideas for his pieces. He's even building a counter top for me. It's a great shop - don't forget to wander the architectural / parts yard outside! Excellent prices too.

Some of the nicest slabs of wood I've seen on the east coast. There is some awesome wood to be found here. Amazing craftsmanship on the finished pieces. As a fellow woodworker I always stop and check-out places like this wile traveling. The workmanship here is top notch. Don't hesitate to stop in and check it out.

6 months in to my family use of a 4' diameter kitchen table and chairs (+stools) that we purchased from the Trading Post. We wanted something to match an old farmhouse, and to stand up to two ruthless boys that bang, scratch, scrape, and scuff every surface of the house. Our table still looks brand new. The purchasing process was great. We were able to run through dozens of options, finishes, and designs before finding something that worked for us. The price was very reasonable for invincible oak furniture that will receive daily use as our family continues to grow. The owner was able to be reached through the whole process, and was willing to check and double check to make sure we got the table we wanted. Very grateful. Highly recommend.

What an awesome place! There is something for everyone at The Trading Post Depot! Antique desks, custom farm tables and cabinets galore! Ed and Nicole are so friendly - they make it a wonderful place to relax and browse. Bonus - they are open EVERY DAY of the week, unlike other antique shops! Bring your truck - you'll need it!
