I would highly recommend this company. We moved into a historic Victorian house that had a new main roof but the Lincoln gutters weren’t done correctly and were already failing in multiple places, and they hadn’t done the porch roof. Kevin gave us a clear estimate that broke down exactly what work was going to be done and exactly what it would cost. Joseph was the lead man on the job- here every day bright and early. His craftsmanship on everything was great especially the copper. The price was a little expensive but the workmanship and professionalism was well worth it. Kevin kept me posted on progress practically daily including progress pics. We’re very happy with all the work and would highly recommend!

My wife and I choose Excel roofing after meeting with Kevin about having our roof replaced in Phoenixville. Five stars are not enough to rate how happy we are with the job. Kevin, Billy and the whole crew are some of the best in the business!!! We not only hired them to do our roof, but we also had Excel repair our chimney, replace our gutters and repair a window. All work done was excellent!!! We are also going to call Excel when we are ready to replace our siding next year. We wouldn't think of trusting anybody else with out house but Kevin and his crew at Excel!!!

We had a wonderful experience with Excel Roofing & Siding. A little over a month ago we noticed after a rainstorm, that our laundry room ceiling had water spots and we called Excel and another company for a consultation to see if we should repair or replace our roof. Both companies recommended replacing our roof and we decided that even though Excel had a higher bid, we wanted to go with them for a number of reasons.

First, Kevin, the owner of Excel returned our call within an hour of our leaving a message, and set up an estimate to be done the very next day, which was a Sunday. When Roger came to our house, he was friendly, polite, and professional. He spent close to an hour on the roof with my husband, inspecting and discussing what he was seeing and “feeling with his feet”. After the inspection, he told us he would be putting together an estimate and would meet with us the following Sunday to discuss it and answer any questions we may have. He also told us to call with any questions we may have before he came back, and when my husband called, he responded within a few hours of the message we left.

When it came time for our estimate meeting, Roger was again prompt, friendly, and professional. He prepared a presentation that including showing us photographs from previous jobs the company had completed and discussed each and every step of the roofing process we needed, which included a weather and ice protection barrier that was necessary due to the lower pitch of our roof. Roger went over all the materials they would be using in detail, and we were pleased to see that the materials they use are of the highest quality.

The day our roof work began, Roger was here by 7:30am, to receive the dumpster and material delivery. The crew doing the work was polite, professional, and efficient. Every care was taken to make sure our property was not damaged, and they cleaned up every piece of trash and material that was on the ground from the job. Also, Roger was here for every second of the time our roof was being worked on, to oversee the work.

Finally, after the job was completed, Roger shared with us the photographs he had taken of our roof being done, from dumpster delivery to completion of the job. We were able to see step-by-step how our roof was done. We saw the damage that caused our ceiling to have water stains, the new decking pieces that replaced the damaged ones, the waterproofing, felt, and shingles, all being installed, just as Roger described in our estimate.

We could not be happier with having chosen Excel Roofing & Siding to replace our roof. Our entire experience was worry free, professional, and friendly. They are worth every penny we paid!

Thornton, PA. It took us a long time to find the right roofer, and Kevin and Excel Roofing were worth the extra time it took to find him. Kevin was the only roofer that was willing to talk, numerous times, with our insurance company (and meet with them at our house) to ensure that the damage to our existing roof would be fully covered. The final roof was beautiful, and we are thrilled with the copper work that was replaced. I hired Excel Roofing to complete a full roof replacement on my home & detached garage , as well all install all new gutters and downspouts. This is the first time I have had a home improvement project finish on-time, according to agreed to plans, and without any surprises or issues.

From the very first consultation, I could tell that I was dealing with an experienced professional. Roger was genuinely interested in understanding all of the exact details and specifications of my roof (inside and outside). He also took extra time to explain to me all of the options, and how they would tackle the work and affect the budget. I had 2 other roofing crews quote and spec this job, and none of them even came close to the level of detail and dedication that Roger displayed. Even though the Excel pricing was slightly more expensive, I chose to hire them because of Rogers transparency and honesty.

As my home turned into a construction site – true their word – Roger and his crew were on-site, on time, prepped and prepared to receive all materials. They laid down extra plywood and tarps to protect my driveway as the heavy dumpster and shingles were delivered. It’s small touches like these that proved to me these guys were professionals, and treated my property with respect and care. Also - because I have a dog that loves to run around outside, I also requested they sweep my deck and yard with a magnet for nails regularly – they happily agreed and completed. (I have not found any nails laying around to date).

As the work progressed I was impressed by the quality of work. Every step was meticulously completed, as described, and they went out of their way to ensure every detail was done “the right way” and not “the easy way”. The crew worked as a well-oiled team and the entire project was done in 4 days (as promised).

Most significant to me: Throughout the entire process I received regular updates, communications and opportunities to inspect the work as it was going on. As a busy professional, this type of trust and openness is important to me – I don’t have spare time or effort to waste on arguments or haggling. I am so extremely glad I chose Roger and Excel Roofing to take care of my home – a great experience through and through.

Kevin and his team did a fantastic job on the roof of our Haddonfield, NJ home. He kept us apprised of each step in the process with photos and videos. His workers are craftsmen in the truest sense of the word. After 30 years, our roof, chimneys and skylight all needed upgrading. Now they look great, and we are satisfied with the high quality of the work. I would not hesitate to recommend Kevin and his team to any of my neighbors (in fact, I aleady have!).

When I contacted Kevin, I had already been trying to get in touch with two other roofers for days and had mostly been ignored. When I called the company phone number, Kevin himself immediately picked up despite being in the middle of a dentist appointment. He told me to text him since he could not talk (as his mouth was being numbed), and he instantly responded from the dental chair! He promised to be out to the house the very next day at 8am. Kevin showed up ON TIME, was respectful of our home, and used his drone to get a full perspective of our chimney issues. Our chimney had been leaking into the house and causing damage to our ceiling. He used photos from the drone and from previous projects to show us what our chimney was lacking and what he and his team could do to fix it. After spending a half an hour with Kevin, we knew we had found someone who truly cared about our home as much as we did. When I asked him if there was any way he could fit us in the next week, he rearranged his schedule to make our house a priority. Sure enough, Kevin and his team were out for numerous days throughout the next week from early morning, sometimes until after we came home from work! Frank was the foreman on the project and he walked me through everything he was doing and the different pieces of the project. Whenever Kevin and Frank found any additional issues like missing roof shingles or dirt on the chimney, they rectified it at no further charge. Frank even painted our chimney to match the house! I could not be more pleased with Excel Roofing, and Kevin was there every step of the way, actively being on site to answer questions every day. When it comes to roof issues, timeliness and quality work are imperative. These two values were imparted throughout the entire process. I would absolutely recommend Excel Roofing to other home owners.

When we realized we could wait no longer to do our roof, I sent our an SOS to my Merion Park (located in Merion Station, PA) neighbors asking them who they could recommend to install a new roof. I received more do not use x replies then recommendations. The neighbor who recommended Kevin spoke about his attentiveness and attention to detail during the process. Kevin and all his workers were excellent! The only delays were weather related which wasn't really a surprise since the new roof was installed in December. Kevin emailed/texted progress pictures and updates regularly. The new roof looks fantastic and really gave the house a facelift. We couldn't be more pleased with the job.

I am extremely happy with the job Excel did on my roof. My slate roof needed repairs and the foreman Chuck came out with him team and did a fantastic job. They even offer to help repair a crack on my house wall. They were definitely the best contractors I ever delt with!

In getting estimates for our shingle roof replacement, we contacted two other companies, and we are glad we went ahead and got a third one which was Excel Roofing. Not only was he the most personable owner, he took time to explain every aspect of the project, even showing videos of various homes in the area and supplying reference names.

Other companies were in a hurry, one just giving a driveway estimate, pulling in, doing a quick measurement and quoting us a price. Kevin took his time, no pressuring for added work and what really impressed us was when he entered our home, he took his shoes off. Maybe not a big deal, but that showed us respect for our home which meant him and his crew would show the same doing the job.

The Excel crew made sure every area of lawn and garden at the work zone was tarped to catch falling debris. At the end of each work day they were meticulous in making sure every bit of trash was removed and area’s swept where needed.

The chimney flashing was done by an excellent coppersmith who was a wizard with cutting, fitting and making sure this crucial part of the project was done correctly.
We have had a number of contractors work for us, but none had shown the integrity, the willingness to put the homeowner first in the project.

In today’s world of hurry up and move on to the next job, Excel Roofing and Siding has shown the customer that taking time to do the job right the first is of the utmost importance.

From the initial estimate to the finished product every part of this experience was A+. Kevin was great in explaini
ng the procedure and making it come to life. Of the 5 other quotes that I got Kevin's was the only one that broke down every aspect of the job and one of the only ones that told me a repair not a replacement was needed. We hired Excel Roofing to replace our old eavestroughs and downspouts with new copper ones. Kevin did an excellent job at coordinating everything and supervising, while Billy was superb in custom design, producing, and fitting the new guttering system. He designed clever cleanout ports for the downspouts. Over the 20 years we have been in our house, we have little by little gotten most of our eavestroughs and downspouts replaced with copper ones (as were original on the house), by a number of different roofers. Excel Roofing were the best - for excellence of work, for promptness, for being very pleasant to work with, for cleaning up after themselves. We have not a single thing to complain about. A+ all around!
