Vine Street Sandwich Shop

This small little sandwich shop has great quality food. My dad tends to stop by to grab soups for my son (his grandson) and I. I'm hooked on the wedding soup, its delicious. Here's a peep of the broth left and my dog waiting impatiently to clean the bowl. They also have great subs.

This was the first time my husband and I ate here. We got the Turkey and cheese cold hoagies, Big Ben’s white birch beer and Kettle cooked Middleswarth chips. We grabbed our hoagies and sat outside at 1 of the 2 tables they had out for customers. This hoagie shop is located on the corner of Vine street in Mt Carmel Pa and its easy to find. This place is also very cute and nostalgic. The prices are reasonable and remember it’s a 16 inch hoagie NOT a 12 inch like most other places have. They have a nice variety of hot and cold items to choose from. They also sell other items to go such as Mac salad, soups, homemade cheese, meat sticks etc. They have a small assortment of old fashion candy and a variety of chips and drinks. We would definitely recommend this place.

Good food, employees are respectful, work as a team and are very nice They all are really hard workers, they are always busy doing something, so make sure you tip them.

I've been to Mt. Carmel twice in the last month because of a family house thing, and both times asked the locals where was a good place to eat in Mt. Carmel. All of the 5 people said there was nowhere really good to eat in this town but one mentioned this place. The store is nostalgic and clean and the staff was very friendly and I was honestly expecting bad food for the price, but the food was absolutely amazing! Mt. Carmel has at least one really good place to eat and I will get food from there every time I come back ☺

The best sandwich shop in the area by far!! Their cheesesteaks are amazing and I highly recommend trying their Tornado sub. The portions are huge, service is fantastic and the price is right on .

Such an adorable cafe. Great food great service. We grabbed lunch and I can’t say enough, delicious! So happy to see small businesses as this thriving in Mount Carmel! Plan on being a retuning customer on our visits!

Regular stop for me and worth the drive! They have the best bacon and beans I've had to go along with a wide variety of selections on there menu to make it a top notch quality dining experience! Which is capped off by there ery friendly, courteous and efficient staff to make it pleasurable and definately worth the trip!

The food I purchased was great. Love the chicken tenders and the coleslaw! The staff was happy to fulfill my special request not to slice the block of cheese I ordered. But the young lady at the register must have been having a bad day as she never smiled and never looked directly at any of the customers.

Actually, I wish I lived closer so I could try more menu options.

Literally the gem of this region.

If you are in a 30 minute driving range of this place. You must go.

The Vine Street Sandwich Shop reminds me of the "Corner Store" I used to go to for candy when I was a kid! This place not only had it all, they do it all. They make incredible sub sandwiches, Burgers, French Fries, Chef Salads, Macaroni Salad, AWESOME Soups. You name it, they have it, or Make it. Vine Street Sandwich Shop has become a Friday Night Dinner for me and the family!!

Best sandwich shop in 100 mile radius. Coal Cracker is the best. Chicken fingers 🤌 just simply amazing, Crispy, Juicy & Well Seasoned as always. Fries great maybe a hint more salt but I'm not gonna cry over preference there. Coleslaw, great one of the places I'll get it from. Well rounded menu as well all there sandwiches are top notch.

Working here in Mount Carmel for 5 weeks. This was my go to everyday for lunch! The burgers are amazing and they finish them as fast as a fast food joint, but with home cooked quality and taste. They carry Big Ben’s sodas as well ( locally bottled pure sugar soda )

Yo…if u ever in PA, plz visit this spot!!! Sandwich is 1000 good. I had the garden steak and cheese and it was really good!!

Great place to stop for hoagies! Kind staff, and a great atmosphere. A warning though, it is not wheelchair accessible. Can definitely get crowded really quick due to the small size 😅 they have two tables outside for the warmer months, but otherwise no inside seating. Love the selection of snacks and candies!

Excellent! We had a cheesesteak and hoagie and the rolls were perfect, both were loaded with quality ingredients. We will definitely be back, this place deserves a special trip.

Found this little gem on our way home from our normal spot of vacation. Added to our list for years to come. I wish they were local to me. Haha. Ladies were super nice. The hoagies were a win for everyone. Also brought home pierogies, beef sticks, and more to try. And were great as well! We will see y'all next time.

We were hungry and in the right place at the right time. This shop carries choice meats and cheeses and serves up traditional hoagies. They say they have the best cheesesteak in the Coal Region, but I would say it tops the big names in Philly. If you travel for a good sandwich, skip the city traffic and head to Mount Carmel.
