Today, when I went to Mattucci's, it was to celebrate a personal accomplishment. I first went there in 1978, and I've been there a number of times since. Forget Olive Garden. This is the real deal. It's like stepping back into time and experiencing what it's like to eat in the dining room of an old Italian home. It's very relaxing. Very comforting.

I've always had great service here. Which is why I keep coming back. But today was a little different. This is the first time I've been to a restaurant, by myself, since my wife passed away 3 years ago. I've been putting it off, because I knew it would be difficult. However, my server today was Ashley. She really blessed me today with her level of energy, her personality, and her grace. She impressed me so much that she joined the ranks of the best servers I've ever had, with 2 others, a server from Hotel Hershey, and Scott's (a former restaurant in downtown Harrisburg). She made my day, and greatly enhanced my experience today.

The meal I got today was great and arrived fairly quickly. Compared to some other Italian restaurants, Mattucci's gives bigger portions, and the quality is so much better. Along with the ambience, it is just a great dining experience. The result of small town living. This is rapidly unraveling. Take advantage of it while you can. Soak it up. Revel in it. Celebrate it. It's the remnant of a bygone era in our history.

Return Visit (11/04/23) Took my daughter here for her birthday. After eating at a number of restaurants in the past few months, and getting a pathetic amount of food. My faith is restored coming to Mattucci's. They have a large menu. I was worried that the recent renovations would change the ambiance. It didn't. When we came in, it was really busy, and there were only 2 servers working. Yet, we got waited on fairly quickly, and got our food in a reasonable amount of time. The food was great, the service was great. When I left, I was not hungry, like I am when I leave other restaurants. Food prices are going up, and I don't mind paying, if the amount of food balances is out. Here it does. I will be coming here more often rather than these other restaurants that I believe are taking advantage of people. In addition, Mount Carmel is a neat little town to visit, with a number of shops to visit in their business area.

Mattucci's is a long standing tradition for a lot of people in the area. It's great food and dining that isn't like other Italian restaurants in the area. Their pizza is absolutely amazing and so is the Antipasto with house dressing. If you dine-in you can enjoy one of their specialty pasta dishes such as Chicken Oscar. Friendly staff and just a great basic atmosphere.

All the food we ate was very good with large quantity that we didn't go home hungry. We had gnocchi with garlic and oil pasta with meatballs, fettuccine Alfredo with grilled chicken. Pizza, antipasta.

The wait here isn't too bad unless you're starving. Apps r delish. Drinks r good. $$ Entree is always fabulous. To name some dishes is impossible however ask if you don't know what it is. Waitress we had was adorable n VERY helpful last Saturday..make reservations by calling the reservation phone number, not the restaurant number. The stuffed mushrooms were to die for. Bruschetta, not so much.

In Disabled, everyone was super friendly and I was served within minutes of finding a table. Incredibly delicious filling food, I sat in the bar area and it was a little crowded. But usually had a table open. I'll be back to review the restaurant tables in the back. Side door are open if you don't want to go through the bar entrance

When my father-in-law said, “I want to drive an hour and fifteen minutes to go to Martuccis,” I though, that seems a bit far for Italian food. But boy was it worth it.

I don’t know much about Mt. Carmel, but they have a gem. The serving sizes were massive, in fact my chicken alfredo was enough for two dinners. On top of that it was ridiculously creamy the whole way through. I got my chicken blackened, which the waitress recommended, which was perfect with the seasonings.

My wife got their homemade ravioli and she described them as pasta pillows from heaven. They were massive, and custom ordered to be filled with cheese, meat, or both. The red sauce was also extremely sweet.

On top of all that, the prices were extremely fair. A massive pasta dish cost about $10. Not bad when it’s enough for two meals!

The atmosphere is unassuming, charming, and a blast from the past. It actually adds to the experience. I truly felt like I found a diners, drive-ins, and dives spot that Guy hasn’t discovered yet.

Did I mention the bread was home made?

10/10 would drive an hour and fifteen again.

Dinner was fabulous. Waitress very helpful. Excellent service. My lobster was served in a ceramic boat steaming with hot butter. Oh my goodness 😍. My Honey got Spaghetti with pepperoni 😋. Dessert was chocolate ice cream and I indulged in cheesecake. Can hardly wait to go back!

We had my husbands retirement dinner this afternoon, I am so happy I chose Matuccis, jason our waiter was great. He was pleasant , and spot on with drinks and all appetizers. Our meals were hot and served in a very timely manner. It has been a long time since we visited there. I will definitely go back. Thank you so much for making this day so nice, and memorable.

The service was phenomenal! We were checked on very frequently and not wanting for anything. All the food we on this occasion was amazing and cooked to perfection and the tip reflected the service... Hadn't been here in a while and will be coming by more often again for the hospitality

My husband and I have been going to Mattucci's for over 40 years (we started going there while we were dating). The food is superb! Always! You may have to wait a little longer that other restaurants; but trust me, the wait is worth it. Years ago, when my cousin was visiting us from Texas, we took her to Mattucci's. She lived in Italy for over a year and was so impressed with Mattucci's authentic Italian food; every time she would visit, we had to take a trip to Mount Carmel for her 'fix' of fantastic Italian cuisine. We try to get there at least twice a year; we live in Harrisburg. Will be a patron as long as they are in business!!

Great food with everything and anything on the menu for everyone in your party to order whatever they want! Italian food is their specialty but they serve steaks, fish, poultry, pizza etc. Definitely make a reservation gets quite busy especially on the weekends! Prices are very reasonable! And definitely not a drive thru so expect to wait for ur food and have a relaxing meal!

Mattucci's has always been a great place to go. I have literally been going there for close to 40 years now. We just left there a bit ago and had yet again another great meal! The staff is on point and very attentive. As an added bonus the beer is always cold.

Never had a meal , sandwich, salad, or visit to Matucci's that disappointed. It is phenomenal Italian food. Made from scratch. The generous portions are served by delightful staff and family that has owned the business for generations. The Best there Is Hands Down. Great Variety Wonderful Bar,too.
