very nice school. has a few bumps here and there but the work they do is fantastic they really are good people

NO SHOW FOR OPEN HOUSE. UNREACHABLE PEOPLE. STAY AWAY!!!

We tried to attend a Summer Life summer camp open house on 6/3/18. We had spoken and emailed with someone there and said we would be there. NOBODY SHOWED. NOBODY CALLED. NOBODY EMAILED. I've tried calling the person we were supposed to meet and she did not respond to a single call or voicemail... I found out today, more than 12 days later that she no longer works there. Nobody had the courtesy to call. Nobody within the organization is reachable. Even when I call in this morning, demanding to speak to a human being and not a voicemail, I am ignored. TOTALLY PISSED that I wasted a 3 hour round trip drive for absolutely nothing. TOTALLY PISSED that nobody in this organization cares about anything. I cannot reach a live human being except the operator.

8/7/18: I eventually spoke to someone later that day who offered lots of excuses for what happened. There really is no excuse. She offered to put us on the waiting list (she happened to be first on the wait list, and was ultimately never able to go) Now my autistic daughter is hyper focused on camp. "When do I get to go back" is all I hear for hours at a time. Thanks VFES for hurting the people you are supposed to be helping. We did nothing wrong, wasted about 5 hours of our time, $25 in gas and got her all excited about going to camp for nothing.
