Mountain Top Resort

MTR is a great resort. Rooms are excellent food was very good spa was incredible and we had a blast sliding down the sledding hill. Loved the outdoor hot tub at the spa. All of the staff was very polite and friendly. The tavern was a ton of fun. We also stayed at the lodge and at the Grand Vista cottage, which was beautiful and clean. The beds were very comfortable.

The Mountain Top Inn was a wonderful experience for us! The Views are hard to match, the service was welcoming at every turn, and the location was well worth the drive. The rooms were well-kept and had a few added features that made our stay more comfortable. Don't miss stopping by the Spa and the restaurant to complete your stay. One point worth mentioning is that the Inn fills up with wedding guests that tend to overwhelm the space a bit.

We had our wedding Mountain Top Inn & Resort in August, and this was the best decision we made. We wanted everyone on site to enjoy the entire weekend with us and fall in love with Vermont just like we did. Our guests were in awe of how beautiful the property was and loved how many activities they could do during their stay. The event staff was fantastic and helped make our day go by smoothly. Would highly recommend having your wedding there! We can't wait to go back to celebrate our anniversary every summer.

I was a wedding photographer for a couple's wedding in December of 2023 and had such a great experience with everyone at Mountain Top! One of my favorite venues that I've had the opportunity of photographing at. Everyone was so kind and helpful, food was delicious, the buildings were beautiful and clean, and they seemed to go above and beyond for the bride and groom and all of their guests.
Looking forward to photographing weddings there again in the future, highly recommend working with and visiting them!

I had my wedding here in September 2023 and had an absolutely fabulous experience. The Mountain Top offers a wedding coordinator who streamlines the planning process. There is a tasting and vendor night to help with selections. The on site florist (Meadow's Edge) is incredibly talented and made the experience really personal. I can't recommend the on site salon (Blush Vermont) enough. All the staff at the Mountain Top Resort were so friendly and thoughtful.

Of course you can't beat the view at the wedding knoll! All around would highly recommend!

Absolutely perfect wedding venue! After one day you will want to build a house and live there forever. We rented a house on the grounds that was stellar. These people hold a high standard. Not a single complaint, meticulous and perfect. There is a lot that goes on here but they are a well oiled machine so as a guest you don’t feel it. Even in when you are in the middle of venue chaos the staff is exceptional. Gracious and kind. We had an amazing weekend. So impressed. 5 stars all around!

This was our second time staying at the Mountain Top Inn & Resort, and everything was absolutely amazing. The room was extremely spacious/clean, and every staff member was very helpful and accommodating. The food/drinks were top notch as well as the incredible views throughout the grounds. Horseback riding is a must if you love horses! I highly recommend staying here!

This is easily one of the most beautiful places I've ever been to. It's so quiet and serene on property. The guest houses as modern and beautifully decorated, yet still have rustic charm. The lodge rooms are pretty big, shower is amazing, beds are comfy and the views are stellar. Staff is kind and helpful, they even lent us a deck of cards because we left ours at home! Beautiful getaway for a couple or a family- plenty to do right on property. Great for weddings, corporate retreats, family vacations... You can't beat this place!

Stayed at Dewberry, loved it! Hot tub and awesome views. Everything about stay was great. Friendly staff, attended wedding it was beautiful! Lots of amenities.

We had our wedding here in June and it was the best day ever! The most beautiful location - you truly can’t beat the views! Our coordinator was wonderful to work with and made sure the day went smoothly and we had everything we needed. I would highly recommend this venue to any couple. Also very LGBT friendly and dog friendly.

Attended a wedding here and was amazed by the beauty in the area. Super conveniently located too! Ski resorts are nearby and the lake is a lovely spot to visit too!

The house we rented through the Inn was in disrepair..big house very hard beds.
Loved the Mountain Top , would get a different house though next time. Window coverings did not cover the windows. Extra Tony 1/2 bath had a terrible shower..I could go on....

I just wanted to go there for the day. Had a great lunch. I loved the resort.

An unbelievably beautiful resort. The hills that overlook the hills that overlook the reservoir was simply gorgeous. The houses to rent are pristine and worth the expense, especially when you have a once in a lifetime event such as a wedding. The food was phenomenal and the staff was courteous and hospitable. There was a medical issue during the wedding reception and the staff was responsive, considerate and professional.

Was here for a wedding. Beautiful place! Be aware, you won't have cell service much of the time and there's a lot of ground to cover. Recommend using an app like Signal or WhatsApp because texts may be difficult to send reliably with spotty signal.

We had an absolutely wonderful vacation at The Mountain Top Inn & Resort last month, thanks in no small part to the amazing staff! Everyone was so helpful and kind, from the shuttle drivers to the bartenders and wait staff. Even when we were dining with our young children, they went out of their way to make it fun and memorable for all of us. The food was always incredible every time we ate at the restaurant at the inn or got takeout. The grounds are gorgeous and there is no shortage of fun activities; we truly had a blast. We can’t say enough good things about the resort and we will definitely visit again!

I can’t find words to describe how perfect this vacation was, the resort itself is so beautiful and every single staff member was nothing short of kind and generous. The view obviously was out of this world…coming from this NYC girl, it was ethereal.

Food + Drinks: (⭐⭐⭐⭐)
We had their breakfast buffet, at $18 it’s a steal. My favorite was French toast and frittata.
Lunch over our time here was pad thai, macaroni and cheese, fish and chips, and the highlands burger.
Drinks: The Bloody Mary was the most delicious one I’ve ever had and the server was (lovely Scorpio lady whom I didn’t ask the name of) so sweet.
Dinner: Seafood paella (melt in your mouth delectable) and for dessert was crème brûlée…literally the best one I’ve had, ever.

Activities: We took advantage of the pontoon boat ride, clay pigeon shooting, and horse trail ride and enjoyed it all. My favorite was the horse ride, we got to meet and pet all the horses beforehand which was a great bonus for me.

Amenities: During our stay I went to the Blush salon and had a facial and massage, both performed by Melanie who was extremely sweet and attentive. A wonderful experience! There’s a sauna and fitness center attached as well.

All in all: five stars all around. We’ve already booked a visit for next year and can’t wait.

Spectacular views, spectacular venue for a wedding. Rooms are tight and hot water took a while, but lot has to do with age and being at top of mountain. Cell service is VERY spotty and practically nonexistent

We enjoyed a perfect vacation at the mountain top. The location is superb. Staff is extraordinarily friendly. The views are just fabulous. We enjoyed a lovely boat tour around the lake. They have a lot of activities such as clay pigeon shooting and horseback riding. We loved it and hope to visit again.

Just went for lunch. But the grounds are beautiful. Food was very good. Service was great
