This is where we met for an awesome pedal to paddle outing with Adventure TRAC. Beautiful bicycle ride to Connellsville then kayaked back to the parking spot in Vanderbilt. Great day.

Nice free parking area to get in/out of the river. We were able to deflate our rafts, pack up our gear, and shake out any sand/dirt all without crowding anyone else who happened to be in the parking area at the same time.

Small and no amenities or bathrooms. The free parking spot for a 3 hour river float from the Yough river park in Connelsville

We left the truck here for a week while we rode the GAP Trail. Security is good. Reasonable prices.

Nice place to get in or out of the yough when kayaking. Parking is lot gravel and also free. It isn't hard to find. Road is paved heading into the lot. Common sense would tell you not to leave any valuables in your vehicle. Only have seen some sketchy characters a few times. It is a little bit of a hike up a steep hill when getting out at the bridge to walk up to your vehicle. Usually not too muddy. It doesn't have power outlets like the connellsville boat launch area does (by the stage and tables). This is also a nice part to walk or bike. We've seen bald eagles, osprey, blue heron, and belted kingfisher from dawson clear though cedar creek area.
