They were busy. Always a good sign.
Finished my blueberry pancakes, although it was not easy! There was a half pint of blueberries in 3 giant pancakes. The sausage was fresh and delisious.

It is your mom and pops place, the prices are amazing! The steak was full of flavor. Moist and not dried out. The eggs were perfectly cooked. The staff was friendly and willing to help. My coffee cup stayed full. The pancakes tasted yummy! Home-made toast was thick and fresh. Definitely, I recommend!

Nothing was open in Colebrook, so we drove 12 miles to this place and was not disappointed

We stopped for breakfast after leaving a town further north that didn't have a place as welcoming and cozy as this. It's an obvious favorite of the local folk, too. Coffee was good, my omelette was tasty, the ham steak side was a good size and not salty. My husband's blueberry pancakes were delicious and served with real maples syrup, The staff were friendly and attentive. We were so glad we stopped.

We have been driven by this place a 100 times and never stopped to eat untill today food was extremely good we had the fish platter and chicken Parmesan and cheddar broccoli soup everything was delicious. So much so we ordered the apple crisp to go, and ooh my god it was excellent. We will not just be driving by anymore. We are going to make this a definite stop from now on.

7.17.22 3 of us walked in and it felt like everyone stopped what they were doing as the radar, "not a local" went off lol. But soon we blended right in. The place is old. Very old. Inside it's old. But the 2 ladies who waited on us were efficient and fast. The food came out hot and was delicious. The home fries were crisp and had small pieces of well cooked onions. Perfection. We loved our breakfast.

Wonderful little place for a filling meal. I had the chicken salad and it tasted so fresh and just like how a good chicken salad should taste. No complaints, the meal and the service was great as well.

Delightful visit during the busy morning of the eclipse. The pancakes were wonderful and very fluffy. Highly recommend a visit.

If you are driving through or local, it is worth the stop. I drove the miles for the chefburger, based on a review and it was SO worth it!!!! Man, I made mine with cheese. The burger was cooked to perfection and magnificent. Fried and coleslaw disappeared almost as fast. But, as good as those were, it was the strawberry shortcake that made me dance in my seat. Oh my so good.

The place. It's a small mom-n-pop place, only 5 tables and the bar to sit at about seating for 30 comfortably. The staff are friendly, open and great conversationalist. I am soooo coming back. Don't expect big city service of ,"Yes, Sir," and crumb scrapers; be polite, use your manners and chow on some very good comfort food. All the customers talk together, locals hang out. And it's comfortable and decent.

Parking. Plenty of parking if you know how to park, even if you don't.

Overall, it was worth the drive and will definitely be coming back. Soooo worth the drive, which was pretty by the way. It was so worth it, when I have guests, I will bring them here for lunch. My oh my, I am so full. Still got to get back to my car; stick a fork in me, I'm done.

Oh and forgive me for not sharing pics of the food; my burger didn't even last long enough for me to think about pictures. None of it did.

Update: 7/12/23 Today I had the chicken Parm sandwich. Let's be real here: if you want to pick it up and wear it, be my guest, but I chose to use my knife and fork with it. Delicious!

That said, I am glad I am not scared of being stared at or having people look at me strange because walking in is a little uncomfortable when everyone just looks at you and says nothing. I made sure there was no one threatening anyone, lol, and I just smiled and grabbed a seat. Good food and I was hungry. I guess in time folks will realize I'm local.

I don't know which meal is best. Had Farmers breakfast t he other morning. So good.

Hands down the best eggs Benedict I’ve ever had. Staff is friendly and prices are more than reasonable!

Delicious home cooked food, very friendly staff. Perfect stop before a long road trip. Highly recommend the homemade toast and corned beef hash. Coffee was fresh too.

Claudette serves good food at good prices. The portions are large and tasty.

Went slightly off route with a motorcyle group for breakfast here. Atmosphere was warm & inviting, food excellent, service was impeccable. This was probable the best breakfast we've had in 20 years of touring around North America. Highly recommend it.

This is a little country restaurant with great food, generous portions and friendly people. You'll find lots of locals eating here.

Went for breakfast. Food was 10/10 and the prices unbeatable! No extra charge for things like coffee, homefries etc. Service was very welcoming and friendly. For breakfast the food quality and price makes this one of the best restaurants in the region. Worth a drive if coming from out of town. Thanks!

Genuine hospitality and really yummy food. It feels like home where there are no pretenses.
