1864 put the burning of Chambersburg on the
map, but the Falafel Shack is making Chambersburg known far and wide for its amazing infusion of flavor, hospitality, quality and experience- when friends and family are in town, it’s a “go-to-“ -unfortunately, as busy as we are, it is often takeout for our crew, but the flavors, smiles, and the wide net that is cast when you see the community come and go, it’s one great place to get a sense of peace-daily-I have cheated and picked up when I’ve been in the butcher shop for a quick on the go home, but nothing truly holds a candle to actually getting to come in and enjoy the vibes, smells, and a to simply “experience” the Falafel Shack- keep doing your thing, it works!😊

Run don’t walk to the Falafel Shack! We were in town for work and this place popped up as highly recommended! We had a really great meal and the hospitality was top notch! Garnett, our waiter, was busy with waiting all the tables himself but managed perfectly and was super to all of us. We enjoyed our table on the front patio and wow our food came out smoking hot and really fast! Spice level was just enough to make you want some water but not too overpowering where it hides the flavor of the food! I especially loved the fresh pita and the crispy onions on top of my meal. You can see and taste the love put into each meal! If I’m ever in town again, I’ll be visiting!

Phenomenal food and service! The attached picture is the Chicken Tikka Masala, which was delicious. My sister loved the chicken shawarma. We had the baba ghanoush and brussel sprouts as an appetizer. Both were wonderful. The staff were very friendly, the atmosphere is relaxed and artistic, and the portions are large. 5 stars!

10/10 across the board. The food was delicious. The service was beyond amazing and very accommodating. I did not have to wait long for my meal even with everything made fresh! We were in town for a business meeting and I am definitely willing to take the 1 hour drive back sometime for another pizza!

Decided to try this out while on a road trip based on the high ratings. How to say it deserves every bit of that 5-star rating. The food was tasty, well presented, and the service was amazing. You will not be disappointed.

This is me and my partner's favorite spot since moving here and we try to visit as often as we can for our dates! We've tried pretty much everything on the menu and it's all been delicious. The specials have been amazing too! Extremely kind and caring owners and staff, plus the whole place just has such welcoming and happy energy. Please get yourself some Masala Fries with whatever you order!! I really cannot put into words how much I adore this place. 💕

Wow, this place hit the spot! Was in town for a wedding and wasn’t sure what type of food we’d find here in Chambersburg (we’re from Philly). Falafel Shack blew our minds! My wife and I shared the Chicken Shawarma Sample Platter with tabouli. It was so good! Everything was perfectly spiced, the pita came out nice and warm, hummus was smooth and tasted great, falafels were so flavorful, chicken was cooked to perfection. The sauces they put on top brought an extra pop of flavor that brought it all together. Would definitely recommend!

Very flavorful and not a typical restaurant. The staff and owner were wonderful! We ate outside and just enjoyed the food at a casual pace. The dishes are plated with care and the portions are good. Be adventurous and try some new flavors! Like the Persian Love Cake!

I forgot to write a review after we went here a few weeks ago for the first time. The service, food, and vegan options were all awesome. This is some of the best Middle Eastern food I've ever had. Our waitress could not have been more friendly. We absolutely loved this place. The place also had a Hate Has No Home Here sign in the window. Much love to this restaurant and its staff.

It was slow when we came in so it was really personable. Our server was attentive and not annoyingly over checking on us. I got the lamb chops (seasonal) and my wife got the beef kafta platter. The lamb chops were cooked perfectly, the rice, salad and the pita bread were really good too. The beef kafta was good according to my wife. I tried some of her channa masala and it tasted pretty good, I could eat a whole bowl of it. I highly recommed eating here if you want to support the good tasting, locally owned restaurants in cumberland valley.

The food is exceptionally good in every way,
The flavors are on point,
The portions are perfect,
Serving time is up to par with something made fresh,
Their hummus is incredible,
The staff is ever attentive and they work as a team to keep every table served and covered,
The environment is warm & cozy.
And to top it off you couldn't tell the owner from the staff, this guy is out there working hands on with his crew and a smile, Amer is Extremely friendly, helpful and kind.

Notes:

This restaurant is vegan friendly as they have several options for you, they will also ask about any allergies or lactose issues before leaving with you order.

They use a very clean & recognized local butcher, which makes it safe to have your meat cooked at lower levels if you prefer.

There is parking in the back of the complex for free or fee depending on the times.

The setting is casual and the kitchen is visible.

For a quick snack or a wholesome dinner, be it an inside table or the open Patio, come to "The Falafel Shack", you won't regret it.

The upstairs dining area (by the windows) is awesome. Food is amazing.We had lamb chops. Atmosphere is colorful, softly lit with great music and friendly service.

Wow! Everything here was insanely fresh, well portioned, and flavorful. The chicken shawarma platter came with so much food. We loved the homemade hummus. The house-made Macrons were to die for. Chambersburg, you have a gem in this place.

First visit to the Falafel Shack...but it won't be the last. Delicious flavors, lamb and brussel sprouts were excellent. You have to try this place!

Visiting Chambersburg, PA, for the first time and my husband looked for a place for lunch and this came up with high reviews. Boy, we're glad we stopped by and ate there! Quaint little place with amazing Mediterranean/Middle-Eastern food! All very fresh, in-house made, very well seasoned! Best falafel I've ever had aside from the one I had a decade ago on the streets of NYC! You won't be disappointed! Service is friendly, food comes out quickly and the flavors are exquisite! They obviously use fresh ingredients... We'll certainly be back -- it'll be a field trip for us, as we live an hour and a half away!

I dot get to Chambersburg often but make it a point to stop in Falafel Shack when I do. They have the best food in town. I have been here a handful of times and never had anything I didn’t like. This is the Chana masala and a naan bread on the side. So good I wanted to keep eating but got full and had to bring some home. I got a slice of cake to go and that was light and very tasty as well. Staff are always friendly and welcoming. They really are top notch.

Delicious, fresh, and flavourful food with incredibly friendly and timely service. So many great vegetarian and meat options depending on your preferences. The prices are really reasonable for the portion size and quality of the food. Can’t speak highly enough about it, so happy we found this spot and can’t wait to come back! :)

Spice things up a little and try something different at the Falafel Shack in Downtown Chambersburg. Friendly service & tasty dishes!! Sit outside and enjoy the view of the square if weather permits.

Prices are not too crazy, a single person like me who eats more would need a platter around $15 to get full or two chicken shawarma worth $20.

The food here is delicious, the have sandwiches and platters, as well as smaller plates.

The falafel, hummus, and tahini were all top notch. The optional hot sauce is both hit and delicious. They also have Turkish coffee and a good selection of teas.
