Ruvo's Italian Restaurant

Had a wonderful authentic Italian meal of pasta and meatball and cheese ravioli. Salad and bread came with the pasta meals. Service was attentive and exceptional. Food was delicious and reasonably priced.

Ruvo serves no alcohol, and charges a corkage fee, so you can bring your own bottle. We chose not to. We started out with sliced Italian bread and olive oil. The bread was so soft inside, and the oil was very flavorful. My wife also had a side of meatballs. There were 3 of them. They were tasty, very dense, and literally as big as tennis balls. For dinner, we had Chicken Parmigiano over spaghetti for two. The portion was enormous. There were two huge pieces of chicken (pictured), and my wife and I made it through just one of them. It was delicious,, and the breading wasn't too heavy. We took home a lot in a doggy bag.
For desert we took a canolli and a piece of Tiramisu back to the hotel. The collision was fine, but the Tiramisu was devine. Decadent.
Ruvo only takes reservations, as they have a small dining room. The walls are covered with pictures of The Godfather and Frank Sinatra. Manager and all the wait staff are amazing.

What a great experience! Sat outside on the covered patio for lunch and split a salad and the huge chicken parm sandwich. Not only was the food great but the people were so friendly! Can definitely recommend this place!

We stayed at a nearby B&B and the owners recommended this restaurant. We love Italian and took the advice to make a reservation. I eat a plant based diet, and usually just get spaghetti and a salad. However, this isn't a typical Italian restaurant, the menu is small and gourmet. I was initially dismayed that the only thing I would be able to eat was a boring salad. However, the chef came out and offered to modify one of the dishes for me. And I ended up with one of the best meals I've had out in a long time. Bread and dipping oil to start us off. Fire roasted red pepper topped garlic oil coated gnocchi, with tomatoes, olives and a few mildly spicy peppers. The care and attention was overwhelming to me, and I can't recommend this place to enough people. My husband was very happy with his meatball, claimed it was the best. If you find yourself in the area, please make a reservation and enjoy a great meal.

Family-style dining with authentic Italian cooking, and Frank Sinatra singing in the background, makes for a wonderful dining experience in this cozy restaurant on West Crawford street in Connellsville, PA.

Meals are served in portions sized for 2 diners or 4. Bread with dipping sauce is served at the beginning of your meal. We chose an Antipasto plate and Chicken Parmigiana. The dinner was served with a generous bowl of penne and sauce. We were unable to finish our meal, but not to worry. As Chef Anthony told me, 'Penne tastes just as good cold' :)

We had early dinner while waiting for the bikes to be fixed. A great little place with very reasonable prices and excellent service. We had to make the run for the beer but the food was absolutely delicious. Definitely will eat here again, next time on the GAP trail

NOTE: small place we needed a reservation. Our server was fantastic very good at her job. The food was great and so was the atmosphere. Highly recommend. With a generous gratuity we were out for about $55.

This restaurant was one of the highlights of our recent trip. The food and customer service are excellent and we felt like we had been invited to the owners home to eat. We were hiking the GAP Trail and came upon this place and ended up eating there two nights in a row. Family style options did not leave you wanting for more and Tony the owner was a pleasure to meet, don’t miss this place if you are traveling near it. Thanks to Tony and the staff for a great couple of meals

Very good food. Very nice server and Mr.Ruvo was nice. My daughter requested Alfredo, not on the menu for the day, and he made it for her. Will come again and highly recommend!

Nice Italian place! Was warmly greeted by the owner and enjoyed sitting outside on the deck. Server was attentive and helpful at recommending items. Dinner is mostly family style, so be ready to share! The dinner menu also changes, so be aware the choices may change. Lunch menu looks great, so I'll be back to try more!

Good, went in for lunch, family had the chicken parm. meal and cheese ravioli with meat ball. Real nice, waitress was on point with rounds, and food portions were generous. Price was reasonable for quantity and quality. Would like to see more menu items, but what we sampled was great. The dining setting was comfortable and approprite as well.Definitely recommend for lunch, baaed on my experience.

I can't say enough about my experience at Ruvo's. From the moment I called to set the reservation to the moment my wife and I walked into the door, we felt welcomed. Our waitress had the table set before we walked in the door, she was very nice. Are appetizers came out promptly and we're just as good as the main course. Everything tasted fresh and vibrant. Their meatballs were so good, I could've ordered them by themselves. I also really loved the fact that they remembered it was my wife's birthday and they gave her a cannoli for free. I definitely will be going back soon. Highly recommended.

Ruvo's is amazing. The staff was very friendly and the food was amazing. They have the best chicken parmesan. The servings are very filling.

The hospitality was amazing they really make you feel like you are a welcomed addition to their family. The chef welcomes you as soon as you walk through the door and the waitresses make sure you are comfortable and taken care of. The food is simply amazing all fresh ingredients and the family style portions let you know if you leave hungry it's your own fault. I am so happy that my family and I found this place words can not describe how amazing ruvos is but we will definitely be coming back again and again

Stayed in Connellsville during a recent ride on the GAP trail and the front desk at our hotel recommended Ruvo's Italian Restaurant. So glad she did because the whole experience was EXCELLENT! Great food, great service, and the owner treated us like family. Definitely worth a stop.

Chicken parmigiana was Excellent! Very good taste- crispy and sauce was thick and delicious!
Pasta was prepared perfectly too! Served will warm Italian bread with dipping oil. We also got a side house salad- wonderful

This restaurant was one of the cleanest I have been in. The four of us had the pasta and meat balls (family style) and there was plenty to go around. The food and hospitality was excellent. We were able to bring wine in to have with our dinner. I would recommend this place to eat if your hungry and like a great atmosphere and reasonable prices. After the four of us spent the day on the GAP it was nice to have a home cooked meal!

Wonderful little place. Great food and quality service. The flavors are fresh, great Italian. The meatballs are to die for and the Alfredo is fantastic. BYOB with a 5$ per bottle corking fee.a littler strange they also charge 5$ to pop a beer bottle (pop your own?). But overall with the experience.

My husband and I ate here for the first time and it was fabulous. Food was great! Service was excellent. The meatballs were awesome and I don't even really like meatballs haha! Portion sizes were nice and big. Very friendly staff and though it's small the atmosphere was perfect for our little date night.

This restaurant is family style dining with some items available as a single portion. Their small portion feeds 2 people & large feeds 4. Both with leftovers. The owner saw I was alone and told the waitress that I could order anything as a single portion since I was from out of town I think.
I had pasta & meatballs, it was excellent.
