First Trax

This shop is top of the line and has EVERYTHING to offer from buying/renting skis and snowboards, tuning and waxing is top of the line! They have such a great selection of winter gear, biking, hiking and fresh baked pizza in a beautiful wood fire. This is by far my favorite place to go for my sporting needs!

Top notch equipment and service. I had a new Jones and Now bindings for rental which is incredible. Setup was expertly tuned for what turned out to be a fairly technical day on the slopes. If you buying, super knowledgeable staff. They could be a more generous with their oysters...

Great pizza and supper friendly! I got the farmer and it was so tasty I went back the next day for another. He also made a meat lovers for my brother that was really good too. The experience was great and I highly recommend checking it out!

Came in 15 min before closing and Don was very accomadating on getting my skis tuned. He even let me watch, ask questions and learn some new things. He took meticulous care of my skis and his attention to detail and skills were phenomenal. Will definitely be coming here instead of the mountain shop.

Small but surprisingly well-stocked little shop with an extremely knowledgeable and friendly owner who has been in the Jay scene forever. Don is friendly and helpful with service and local advice, and charges very fair rates for wax & tunes. Definitely recommend the +/- 10 minutes extra drive vs paying premiums at the resort, and you'll feel better spending your money at First Trax as a bonus.

Don has been there for us for our summer and winter sporting equipment needs for many years. We are never disappointed. He always has great advice and skills, and has bailed me out of countless crimes I have committed against my poor bike!

Great ski shop. I dropped my skis off here the evening after skiing and they had them sharpened and waxed when I came by to pick them up in the morning on my way to Jay. Not bad prices either.

Fantastic little bike shop. They have the good stuff: in expert service, gear and apparel (in order of my wants and needs ;-)

Great people here. Friendly, knowledgable, and skilled. Professionally tuned my snow skis for me many times. Great prices as well. Will be returning for many winters to come!
