We ate at the restaurant after skiing; omg! Absolutely delicious! I got a burger with smoked Cabot cheese, gluten free but no bun, side salad instead of fries and kimchi; it was absolutely phenomenal!! Delicious, juicy burger, and one of the most delicious side salads ever. .. my husband got the steak and cheese with sauteed onions, peppers and mushrooms and he said it was amazing and the French fries were divine!
We were last here in 2020, we absolutely love it!

We picked this spot for proximity to Jay without having to stay at overpriced poorly reviewed Jay resort options.

The website/photos don’t do this lodge justice. It’s everything we hoped for in a romantic weekend getaway at Jay. Old school ski lodge vibe with unexpectedly excellent food sitting on a fireside couch chatting w the owner JR. I played a little Neil Diamond on the upright piano in the back w a singalong group of random MA peeps. The rooms are quaint and all you need. We didn’t take room 16 but we will next time for the fireplace. The dinner drinks and breakfast were all 5 stars. Only complaint is the portions are massive. But that’s a small complaint.

JR if you have the budget you should update the website and get better photos. 🫡

We love sitting at the bar for dinner. Fun drink specials (lime and coconut martini) and friendly bartenders. You will never go hungry here. The portions are huge - we always go home with lunch for the next day! The Caesar salad can feed 3 people. The wings are meaty and have lots of choices for sauces.

Went to the restaurant after skiing and the food was just amazing!!! I have celiac and they were able to accommodate me perfectly. Meal portions were very large enough for leftovers and my brother enjoyed an amazing sundae! Service was super quick and friendly. Would come again.

My boyfriend and I stayed at a ski in/out air bnb at Jay Peak. As Valentine’s Day was quickly approaching, we started looking into restaurants to eat at. We attempted to call several restaurants Jay Peak provided, however, we could never reach anyone to speak to. As someone who likes to look at reviews and see photos of dishes, most of the Jay Peak restaurants had poor reviews stating it was over priced for the quality of food.

Jay Village Inn & Restaurant was recommended to us by family who had previously dined there. They did suggest to make reservations because it’s super busy.

My boyfriend and I attempted to call the day of to make a reservation but we had no luck. When we got there the place was packed! Luckily we were able to get seated in the bar.

Service was awesome! Thank you Corey! I ordered a margarita that was the size of my head. Really delicious. And my bf ordered an old fashioned.

I walked into the restaurant craving a burger. However, on their specials, they had a 48oz tomahawk steak that we ended up splitting. As an appetizer we ordered the bacon wrapped scallops. As a seafood lover, these were the most delicious scallops I’ve eaten. I wish I took a picture. They were beautifully plated.

I’ve never had a tomahawk before but it didn’t disappoint. The tomahawk tasted as good as it looked. Please see the picture. Our steak was cooked to the perfect temp.

JVI portion sizes are large. You will not leave hungry! We took the PB and chocolate cake to go. Also highly recommend their desserts. I can’t say enough good things about this place.

Dinner time is extremely busy so make a reservation. We got super lucky to be seated because there was a no show.

The day we left Jay, we stopped at JVI for lunch and we got burgers. Also did not disappoint. Cooked to perfection and exactly how we wanted it. See the pic.

Kitchen staff is phenomenal. If we go to Jay Peak again, this will be our go to spot every time.

We ate here with a party of six. Every meal was insanely good, and all of the cocktails were five star. Just eat here! Beware, the portions are gargantuan. Service was also amazing. Our waitress was super friendly.

The restaurant was absolutely great. Food was extraordinary and the BLT was enough for two meals! Service was also nice and the waiter was extremely polite. Definitely an awesome place to grab some food.

Great Northern Lodge Experience!

Rooms are quite nice even though they are on the smaller side. Great service from both the restaurant and inn staff!
I will definitely return if I come back up this way!

Exceedingly clean rooms close to Jay’s Peak. Although the room is dated, it is squeaky clean and a good price taking location into account. However, I do recommend avoiding the restaurant as the food is subpar.

We stop here often after skiing to dine in the restaurant. When my son comes up to visit it is always on his list of things to do (stop in for lunch) We have never stayed at the hotel part so our recommendation is based on the restaurant

Excellent. Nestled in the mountains of Jay Peak is this gorgeous and well staffed, well-mannered dining experience. It doubles as a hotel with a store right across the road. The food is amazingly cooked. The staff was patient and helpful as the kids were unsure of what they wanted. This is worth the trip, kid-friendly and the portions are always huge. Definitely a must try if you're in the area and worth a trip!

This place is amazing i was so excited to review this place because our experience in the restaurant was so so good! The portions are huge and the food is seriously delicious! Im from Chicago vacationing all over for the last month and in doing so l have been eating out almost every day and this was not only my favorite restaurant but also other family members as well. If you're within driving distance to this place at any point stop in for a meal you wont regret it!

We stayed at the Jay Village Inn and ended up dining in at the Restaurant at all three nights of our stay! When their menu states their goal is for “No one to go home hungry”, they mean it! All the portions are over sized and were delicious. My favorites were the HUGE garden salad, nachos, and supreme quesadillas. Our waitress was great, and you can tell this is definitely a go-to spot for locals as well. I would definitely stay here again on my next ski trip to Jay!
