Residence Inn by Marriott Hazleton

My stay at this establishment has been great for the most part. My daughter loves it, and I wouldn't mind returning in the near future. Clean rooms and friendly environment.

New hotel. Everything neat & clean. Check-In fast & efficient with reservation. Good breakfast variety with two attendants.

Easy on & off access to I-81. Far enough from freeway to not have traffic noise. Two fast food eateries within walking distance. Many more choices in town - about 2 miles away.

Only drawbacks: Very large hotel has only 1 very slow elevator; layout for the breakfast room is very odd, and there was insufficient seating; tub is very slick.

I love Residence Inns and this was no exception. Very clean and lots of restaurants nearby. And bonus, my dog got a goody bag upon arrival!

Location is excellent, large room for extended stay and fully equiped. Breakfast included.

Walking into the hotel front lobby, it smelled and looked clean. That continued up to my room and it made it a great start to my trip.

My stay was in room 229, the 2 bedroom suite which included a full kitchen. Everything worked as expected and the room was well maintained with the required upkeep of maintenance with the walls, plumbing, electric, floors and furniture. Once again very clean and tidy.
Staff were very friendly and were always visible. The indoor pool was clean and well kept. The kids loved it! The offered breakfast was
a superior option than going out to eat. Scrambled eggs, sausage, breakfast sandwiches, selection of cereals, oatmeal, yogurts, fruit, waffles amongst other choices. Coffee station and juice station was great.
I would certainly stay here again! I may likely book again next year to just to get away for a few days and enjoy the great breakfast and Jim Thorpe about 25 minutes away.

We had a dog on the trip, so it was great that it was a pet friendly facility.

This hotel is the cleanest I've stayed in the last 6 months, and I average 18-20 nights per month in hotels due to work.

Staff- Very very pleasant and provided excellent customer service throughout my stay. I'm sorry I didn't get the young lady with short brown hairs name that works the front, but she went above and beyond to always make sure I had everything I needed. Housekeeping was also amazing. Unlike other hotels (since covid) they offer regular housekeeping a few days per week which worked well for my extended stay.

Nice size pool and hot tub!

Laundry room with plenty of washers and dryers.

I definitely will choose this location for all my future stays when in the area.

FANTASTIC! We stayed because they were pet friendly and had reasonable pet fee compared to other locals of the same brand. However, I am not only making this my go-to stop in Hazelton/Scranton area, but I am doing this with or without my dogs. Wonderful amenities, extremely friendly staff day or night. Super clean hotel!!!

The staff was extremely friendly although dealing with COVID-19 and staffing difficulties. The rooms were clean and well furnished for our long term stay. The kitchen had basic supplies in order to cook our own meals. If I had an issue, all I had to do was ask a staff member, and it would be resolved quickly. Thank you for a great stay!! If we revisit we will definitely stay here again.

We made an unscheduled stop after an evening on the road. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rate was very reasonable for the nice room. Very clean and no sign of any pet hair - even though the hotel says it's pet-friendly. The room had a full complement of bath items and all the towels and linens were clean and fresh. No problem odors (my wife always sniffs those out!).
The free breakfast was hot and adequete. The eggs looked like they came from a mix and the french toast sticks were cold, but for a "free" meal it wasn't too bad. Staff provided a tray so we could eat our food in the room, which is convenient.
We'd stay here again. Nice place and good staff.

The front desk person, Bradley, was great! I am handicapped and he was so accommodating. We came up for a wedding and called ahead and said he would make sure our room would be ready early and it was. Room was spotless and the accommodations were immaculate and comfortable. He even extended our check out time an hour longer. I will highly recommend this hotel to all my friends and associates. Great hotel and staff!

Highly recommend this hotel! There was a problem with the Marriott Bonvoy site and it accepted my reservation in a completely booked hotel. After driving 5 hours (I am a senior citizen) with my dog, I arrived to find Marriott cancelled my reservation without even an email to me! The front desk at this hotel has a superstar-Selena! She tried to find me a new hotel in the area and everything was booked! Somehow, Selena and another front desk woman that I failed to get her name, got me a room! I could have kissed her! Selena is a gem!

Very nice hotel with large rooms. We've stayed here a few times, and the rooms are always clean and include a kitchenette. We travel with our German shepherd, so it's great that they are pet friendly and have no size or breed restrictions. Breakfast is better than average for other hotels I've eaten at. The staff have always been very helpful and friendly, and most of them also speak Spanish. I have never used the pool, but it looks nice. The fitness room has basic cardio equipment, which is plenty for me. The location is convenient to Hazelton, not that there's much to do in town.

Exceptional hotel. So clean and welcoming. The breakfast was as expected but certainly was a delight. The room was PHENOMENAL. It was clean and very well maintained. The staff were very friendly and engaged in conversation. I would love to have enjoyed the stay longer.

Everything was very clean. Mattress was very comfortable. Continental breakfast had the standard waffle maker, but also had scrambled eggs and Canadian bacon. Pool area and hot tub area clean, plenty of clean towels. Would definitely stay again.

This place is in a wonderful location for traveling. They upgraded the lobby and looks like a fancy home in the mountains where you can meet colleagues, family or friends and have a nice talk. They included a daily breakfast and happy hour with such love and dedication that make you feel energetic and ready. The rooms are superior in quality cleaness, decoration, new windows, and smell sooo good. I dont have any negative comment. Front desk and service personnel amazing!

Great hotel for the area. Stayed an extended stay and was happy with the full experience. Friendly staff. Breakfast everyday and Monday thru Wednesday they have evening snack or meal. Hotel allows pets but no smoking inside. Also has a sport court with a net and basketball hoop. Indoor pool with hot tub. Nice, small little gym too. Kitchenettes also have basic kitchen amenities.

What a great place to stay!!! The staff is very friendly, they have a great breakfast, a relaxing area with a fire pit to meet some great people passing through, very clean and the rooms are awesome. The best place to stay !!!
