Roma Bakery Pastry Shop

Visited for the first time, and I absolutely love this place!!! Anna is the sweetest lady. The shop is quaint and cute, and was so beautifully decorated for fall 🍁🍂 Even had fall themed cookies (leaves, turkeys, pilgrim hats, etc.) I live about 30 minutes away from Roma, but I will absolutely be back. It is worth the drive. 💛💛💛

Great place. The pastries are delicious. True European bakery ... so much better than anything you can get in a grocery store. Reasonably priced too. Just quality baking.

The lady who helped us Anna was very helpful and kind. Decorated our birthday cake on the spot beautifully & went over the top having my son pick a cookie and giving it to him free. So sweet. We will be returning here many times. Food & service are great.

Stopped in by chance picked up a variety of baked goods and everything was great. The lady behind the counter was very attentive and answered all my questions.

The shop is adorable. The owner is very sweet and inviting. There is a huge selection of goodies to choose from. Definitely worth a visit.

Huge selection of fresh authentic Italian cookies and pastries hand made on site. The chocolate covered macaroons and almond paste cookies are out this world.

I am so glad I found this gem! Just like the classic bakeries of the 80s. It was hard to choose between all the gorgeous pastries and everything we bought was delicious. The staff was really friendly and patient. Looking forward to coming back.

For years my mom has been coming here to get us special treats. We always have a Roma chocolate egg at Easter and still refer to it as the place that had the amazing chocolate Obama egg in 2008. Thank you, Roma for helping to make life a little bit sweeter!

The best cake I ever had , I recommend it!

Lived in Blue Bell/Norristown area most of my life. Went here for the first time for my son's graduation cake. This has to be the best Italian bakery around. Hands down. This place is authentic. I'll be back.

5 stars are not enough for this gem of a place. One of the best cakes I ever had. THE kindest staff around, big shout out to dear Anna. Would not go anywhere else for bakery needs. Highly recommended.

Great place! Great people! Amazing cakes, pies and pastries!!! They’re tiramisu is the best I’ve ever had anywhere! If you live in or around the Blue Bell area and are not taking advantage of this wonderful little family owned local hidden gem you are doing your family a great disservice!!

Don't let the one star reviews steer you away. Some people expect things to always be perfect and go above and beyond their high expectations 100 percent of the time. Roma is an awesome bakery that makes awesome sweets. If you request something unique, make sure you're there in person to clearly communicate that and be prepared with a backup cake idea if you initially request something they don't specialize in (which has happened to me). The store is always clean and well cared for. I personally never experienced anything less than pleasant and friendly service in all the times I've been there. Right now I'm only thinking about those delicious Italian ricciarelli cookies (I once again pronounced it wrong, but I know the owner will correct me). I could eat those everyday. It's a little piece of heaven.

A true taste of Italy!

Now that I've managed to taste my way around their shop, I am more than happy to give Roma a top 5-star rating. They run a clean shop, are friendly, know their regulars, and make some really good treats!

My most recent trip netted me a handful of almond cookies and a tiramisu. Previous trips I scored a few of their mini-pies, various cookies, and more. Everything is/was/has been great. The tiramisu was on another level.

Prices are fair, especially for the value in quality you are getting. As others note, a potential for best bakery in Blue Bell and a great small business to support!

Roma Bakery is the place to go for authentic Italian desserts. Anna and Frank are so warm and welcoming. The tiramisu tastes just like what Grandma used to make! I also highly recommend Roma’s cannoli and lobster tails. 5 stars.

By far the best bakery in the area. Ignore the 1-star reviews, these are the people who order their steaks well done and enjoy their baked goods from a freezer and thawed by starbucks. Their almond cookies and lemon pies are on another tier of their own. It's a little expensive, but it's worth the 45 minute drive in my case.

Edit a year later: I haven’t been there’s in a little while, but I highly recommend everything they have there. As someone who has traveled across much of the northeast in search of bakeries, this is the one that deserves the most praise. The couple that runs the place are so nice and helpful. There’s a lot of variety for something for yourself or for a party. It’s really that great.

Best Italian bakery in the area! The owners are from Italy and they really know what they're doing. I recommend the chocolate mousse cake for any birthday and special occasion. I ordered this same cake ahead of time and I told them to add raspberry jam as a filling and it was unbelievable! If you have any special request, be sure to show Anna (the owner) a picture of what you want - just to make sure it doesn't get lost in translation.

Tried several of their cookies and pastries and was blown away by the almond cherry treats! We will ABSOLUTELY be back for birthdays, holidays, any excuse to get a cake or cookie tray from them. Wonderful staff and owners as well.

I always loved family owned bakeries, I ordered cake for birthday and it was great. Everything they have tastes good and not very sweet. The cream on top of our cake was fresh and tasted delicious. It’s sad we moved out of this place but will surely go back if we ever visit Philly.
