The tomato pie is the best!! Deli meats and cheeses are fresh and reasonably priced too! For a real treat- order a deli sandwich or sub. They cost a little more but taste incredible!!

I love it here!! Love their "Turkey Wednesday!" So delicious. I recently had a birthday party for my husband. Ordered roast beef and pork. Both were such a hit. Will definitely use them again. So much easier than cooking abd they have it prepared so nicely.

Corropolese Italian Bakery & Deli located in Norristown at 2014 Old Arch Road, is a legendary Bakery featuring their bread as the superstar. Best bread I’ve ever had anywhere - hands down!
Had to give them a visit when in town, as their Sandwiches are huge, with again their Hoagie Rolls being the best. Full line of Italian bakery items from cookies, cannolis, and their famous tomato pie. Love this place! Very friendly staff and quick service.
Cheap (LOW!!) prices still, which in todays economy is a rarity big time.

This is a must have when I visit Pennsylvania. So many incredible things to eat. Tomato pie is the best ever. Football rolls. Anise Pizelles are so delicious. Local shoe fly pie so damn good. Seriously it is amazing.

This review is for non-locals. Any locals shouldn’t need a review for Corropolese or shame on you. ;)

Growing up in the suburbs of Philadelphia, eating Corropolese tomato pie was as normal as eating Wawa “hoagies” and Rita’s “wooder” ice. Since moving down to the DMV area, one of the only things I miss about my hometown is the tomato pie especially since Corropolese is the best, hands down. The OG spot that I grew up with is in Norristown on Old Arch Road although they’ve opened up a few newer locations over the years to accommodate their growth. They have good bread and other baked treats like cakes, pastries, and cookies. And their hot/cold sandwiches, made with their amazing sandwich rolls, definitely hit the spot (slow-cooked Italian shredded pork is so good). The market also sells other Italian goods like dried pasta and antipasti. But the highlight is definitely the tomato pie. Now I’ve found it to be very challenging to try to describe tomato pie to someone who is not familiar with it, their response is usually “so it’s just cold pizza with no cheese,” but the locals all know that’s just blasphemy. Having been to Italy recently, I can say it resembles the Sicilian-style pizza (sfincione). The pie is rectangular with focaccia-like dough and it’s covered in thick layer of tomato sauce that is robust but has a hint of sweetness then sprinkled with grated cheese (and they have stenciling available for holidays/special occasions & logos (Philly sports, local colleges/high schools) for that extra flair. Purists may say tomato pie shouldn’t have any toppings but those people need to evolve & embrace because as much as I love a good cheese pizza, toppings can definitely elevate a good pie. One of my favorites is the Supreme (cheese, sweet peppers & pepperoni) but website says it’s only available on Sundays. So if you’re in the area visiting friends or family, forget about cheesesteaks and grab a sheet of tomato pie (or go for the 1/4 pies and get a variety)!

Corropolese Tomato Pie is the best! It's hard not to eat a whole box by yourself. You know they knock it out of the ballpark when you find yourself driving well over an hour each way to take some Tomato Pie back home. Everything that I have had the pleasure of tasting there has been good (brownies, cookies, etc). Now if I could only talk them into opening a location in Harrisburg! They could make some good money here -- we have nothing that even compares to what they offer. Can't say enough positive things... if you are near the Philly area, try them out. They have several locations. You won't be disappointed!

Best tomato pie ever!! The bread, the sauce, portion and price is all perfect. I did notice prices have been going up but still at a reasonable price range. I recommend calling them early since they tend to sell out of items that I personally like.

Also took home the Stuffed Shells and made them with their homemade sauce.
It was a great Dinner.
Taste Great.
Can't stop eating the Tomato Pie.
Pretty Crowded, Sunday afternoon.
Friendly and helpful Staff.
Building is Clean and well Maintained.
A little tricky to locate if out of towners.

I have been eating tomato pie from Corropolese Italian Bakery since I was a child. This is the ONLY place I will get tomato pie from! I have tried from other bakeries, deli's etc. no one compares. I live in Delaware County and there are several local deli's that sell Corropolese tomato pie, this makes me soo happy to still have my hometown favorite.

We have also enjoyed lunchmeats, rolls and other bakery items from here.

Corpolese did our catering. The sausage sandwich (red sauce) was the best sausage sandwich I ever had. A lot of the people said the same. Corpolese rolls are some of the best too. 100 percent we will be back. Thanks for some of the best food I’ve had, a very fair price, and great service.

I was in the area so I had to stop in for some fresh tomatoe pie and a fresh loaf of Italian bread. Very old school traditional bakery. Love it and glad they are still going strong.

Not an eat-in place.

Old style Italian bakery (rolls, cakes, cookies, tomato pie) assorted Italian groceries, sandwiches/hoagies (to go)... great spaghetti & tomato pie sauces!
