Ale House Bar & Grill

Food was really good especially the wings! The waitresses were really nice and welcoming too. We rode our atvs right up to the front door. What an awesome town and great bar

As a family, we like to try different small restaurants, rather than the big named ones, love food that is good and feels like it's being cooked from your kitchen. We feel we get better food and service at small owned or feel like Mom and pop restaurants with good food. This place has good food and drinks. And you can afford to eat there without worrying about regretting spending money. I would recommend the Ale House.

The service was great. Our waitress was really nice, helped get a table cleaned up/ready for us pretty quick, and was attentive throughout the dinner. I got the buffalo chicken stromboli and it was banginnnnn' 🤣. It definitely had a bite to it so if you're not into spicy try a different kind or just load it with extra ranch to tame it down. The stromboli dough itself is delicious has great seasoning/flavor to it and is the perfect consistency. Honestly can't wait to visit town to order again. Picture below of leftovers brought home.

Driving across PA on the road less travelled I stumbled across the Ale House. The salad with grilled chicken was enormous, tasty and delicious. Great wait staff, very amenable. And she knew what style of beer I was asking about. Very helpful since there were about 10 or 15 tap handles that I never heard of before. Cool place.

Was out on the motorcycle and found this little gem by luck.
I was promptly welcomed in by a sweet gal named Amber. She was super friendly and engaging and offered me the history of the Ale House which is a pretty neat story and I love that kind of history.

Unbelievable selection of local and not so local beers which is nice because I only have one when on the bike.
My wings came out really fast. While I was put off at first that they weren't tossed in sauce as I prefer, it ended up being a non-issue. They included lots of extra sauce and I doused them immediately. They were EXPERTLY cooked. Really crispy without being over done. Best wings I've had in a while and I'm a bit of a wing addict.

All in all, this place is clean, affordable with a really diverse menu and great service. While it's around 150 miles away from my home, I'll be back!

Great atmosphere bartender Michelle is so friendly and does a great job. Enjoy going there everyone is great.

Best deal is $1 tacos on Taco Tuesday, that’s for the beef taco. Other options cost a little more, like chicken, grilled steak or fried haddock. Your choice of soft or hard shell. Tacos were yummy. They also have a fantastic beer selection. Restaurant was very clean. The service was friendly and efficient. I would definitely eat here again.

My husband I go there alot. We love when we get the waitress Amy she is awesome. The food is great. Go try a pretzel they bring it out on banana hanger. They are huge.

I found Ale House only after another local establishment was closed today…. but I’m grateful for that because I stumbled on a gem in the heart of Shamokin.

There was a diverse tap list and cocktail menu, food options in every variety, and the staff were all very welcoming and accommodating.

I followed the suggestion of the waitress and went for the chicken park grilled cheese, but also got to try to brisket. The fries were excellent, and the dessert pizza was the perfect ending.

Will return soon for more!

Fantastic place awesome folks and a great asset to the community. Food was quick and good. Good selection of beers on tap. A must try in the area and a place we will be back to next time we are out wheeling.
