The Horse and Hound has something for everyone. The steak sandwich, salmon burger, and Maryland crab cake sandwiches are go to items for an after work meal.

My vegetarian and vegan friends get the veggie burger over salad.

Their main dinner entrees always satisfy. The duck, steak, and salmon are always presented beautifully and delicious.

Some folks go only for the wings and jalapeno poppers. The dining room is separate from the pub. Both menus are available where ever you sit. (Monday is pub menu only)

The hidden gem is the truffle agnolotti. It is available as an entree or appetizer. Even if you're getting something completely different, get it as an app and share it at the table.

Always check the specials. You might be lucky enough to get Sue's Homemade meatballs.

Beautiful interior, helpful and attentive staff and delicious food! I'm looking forward to visiting again.

We went to Horse and the Hound for our first time last night. We made a reservation ahead of time and the gentleman on the phone was incredibly friendly. We were greeted at the door by same person, who made us feel so welcome! The server Adam was very attentive and as we are new residents of the area, was very sweet to take time to tell us a little more about Lewisboro. The food was delicious too. My husband ordered the duck and I had the chicken pimento. The potatoes and veg on the side were served very hot, which is a big thing for me. We will definitely return to support such a great staff and neighborhood place. Also to note, the tables were very well spaced out and the staff were all wearing masks properly. Just a comfortable environment.

Haven't been here in a long time. Came down from CT heard they had some outdoor seating. Tables were nicely spaced apart and servers were amazing.

As for the food. A lot of the stuff was fresh from their garden but the fresh mozzarella salad was amazing. The tomatoes were so tasty. I had the stuff shrimp and everything was perfect. The stuffing was crab and it was cooked just right and it wasn't overly seasoned or salted like many places do. It was definitely cooked to order.

I had a magical evening here. This is a wonderful place to dine. We came for the St. Patrick's celebration, so the traditional corned beef and potatoes was in order. Phenomenal meal and service. Bartender has a cool vibe, if you just want to hang and chat.

Just tried this place for the first time last night and we were very impressed. All of the food was perfect and I'm a picky vegetarian. Great service, everything was immaculate and a nice cozy establishment. We were a little worried this would be too fancy for us but it wasn't, the waiter was kind and made us comfortable. The truffle agnolotti was amazing, so flavorful and not too much truffle. The butternut squash ravioli was also perfect, great taste great sauce and a reasonable serving size for a $20 dish, I had enough to take home. My husband got the vegan burger and that was over the top as well, one of the best we've tried and he tries every veggie burger. We will be back! Thanks to the staff and chef here for a really nice birthday dinner for me.

Quaint throwback atmosphere. Friendly and attentive servers, large portions and great salad options. We will be returning for comedy night and open jam.

Enjoyed an absolutely wonderful dinner at The Horse And Hound this evening. Met a friend that I haven't seen since the beginning of the year before the whole Covid-19 things started. We started out outside on the patio but then a rain and wind storm hit so we decided to move inside and it was our first time eating inside since indoor dining started again. We sat off in the corner by ourselves and had a lovely time and felt very safe as our waitress was very attentive and was wearing her mask at all times. She had salmon and I had roast duck both of which were absolutely delicious.

Have not been to this restaurant for a long time and was happy to see some changes which enhance the restaurant. It's a 1749 historic building set in a quiet and scenic area of So. Salem, NY.

Their menu is a good variety of choices, service was very prompt presented by friendly servers. Prices in line with value.
Will not wait so long before heading back to Horse and Hound.

We had an event there yesterday. All of the guests raved about the food and the service was fantastic. The servers responded immediately to every request, with smiles on their faces. All of the food served was absolutely delicious and the presentation was great!

It was a Monday, so no big dinner was being served, day in the bar, was great, bartender was right there and was everything but the cook, and maybe he did that too. LOL

Wow Thanksgiving is a special day but with two vegetarians it can be a tad more complicated. Horse & Hound price fixe was fabulous. Something for everyone, I of course got traditional meal with all fixings. Fabulous food generous portions and great staff. Make it a stop no matter what occasion.

Steve the Manager/Owner is extremely hospitable and goes out of his way to greet guests and to make sure everyone is taken care of. He recognizes regulars and makes them feel very welcome. This is quite rare for upper Westchester/Fairfield County.

Unlike most privately owned restaurants in Westchester/Fairfield the servers and bussers are young AMERICAN men. This is a good thing, as I find it alienating to be served by those who can barely speak English, at an upscale restaurant nonetheless. Most elitists in the area look down upon restaurant staff and expect not to be bothered at all, but this does not conform to that reality, as the staff seem more than happy to strike up a friendly conversation if initiated.

The atmosphere is extremely cozy, quaint, and classy as the restaurant/bar is in a historic home from the Revolution. I find that if the bar area gets too loud for dinner the dining room is pretty quiet and amenable for quality conversation. It's nice that there is nice outdoor seating as well. The fact the restaurant has different sections with different levels of noise is a great plus.

The food is great as well. Substitutions and modifications are honored as I eat a strict paleo diet. (no buns, breads, grains, sauces etc).

I'd recommend this place for a quiet family, a romantic meal with a date, or a laid back time with friends.

Guests seem to be both working class types (more so in the bar area) and the more upscale Westchester type in the dining room.

Highly Recommended for the Good Quality Food, Reasonable Prices and Excellent Atmosphere.

This has always been one of my favorite restaurants! The food is spectacular and the service is always above and beyond.

Local favorite spot for those who know! Service was on point, food was good many great memories here!

One of my favorite places! It’s like being in a Pub back in the UK with French cuisine, not to mention the best wings EVER! Sue, the chef and owner is the best!
