Sakura Japanese Steak House

Unusually, we always visit this Hibachi place but I had never posted a review until I could see everything and try everything. On this occasion, I loved the punctuality and the way they scheduled our appointment.

It all started with a salad starter and a mushroom soup, which was delicious and also very fresh. The salad was on point, and the soup is exquisite.

After the entrance we decided to try some drinks which we opted for red and white sangrias and one of the group ordered a jalapeno martini. Everything was fine except that the sangrias were missing the fruits inside. but everything tasted very good. The children ordered a Japanese soda, which had a ball on the top so they could uncover it or push it up! Something very creative for the children, we really liked it.

We ordered a combination of salmon and shrimp.

The food was good, the chef who worked with us was very active and entertaining, we loved everything we did. I recommend them for large groups.

This is the place I go when I have a craving for sushi and don’t want to go somewhere too far away. Is it the best sushi out there in CT? No, but it’s always fresh and really doesn’t disappoint too much. I never had a problem with the food or service I think they do a really good job here. They even accommodated me for my white fish allergy. I would recommend you get the sushi combo platter, bento box, or the fried ice cream (for dessert).

We sat in the restaurant side rather than the hibachi side. The food was delicious. We were on a date night and didn't eat all day on anticipation for going out. We ordered a lot of food, because we were also planning on eating leftovers the next day. The server came back and questioned how much we were ordering, "you know that's a lot of food, right?" So I said yes and explained that we were ordering a lot so we could have some to take home as well. It was a bit embarrassing, but other than that the sushi rolls were so phenomenal and everything else we ordered was great. And the leftovers the next day were still delicious.

5 stars across the board - from the amazing food to the kind, welcoming and knowledgeable staff, I don’t know what more you could look for!

I’ve never had a bad meal here, both sushi and hibachi have been some of my favorite meals. Highly recommend the gyoza, salmon lovers roll, and steak and shrimp hibachi.

Plus, after coming here a few times the staff remembered us, our drink orders and some of our favorites. Julie is extremely welcoming and it’s clear she has created an amazing team to work there!

The night was 4 people out for a good meal . this is my first time at a hibache restaurant so with the ski flowing flames rising and my jar open nearly the first 30 minutes of the show. The food was unbelievable I Recommend a flavor Bonanza I had the Steak and Salmon dish which came with awesome rice and vegetables all cooked and seasoned to perfection in front of my eyes.10 out of 10. I have always gone for takeout so I have not Sat inside the establishment, but the food is always delicious and well prepared. Normally buy a combo dinner which comes with a soup and salad. Definitely worth the value you pay for the food.

One of the better restaurants I’ve eaten hibachi at. Has a nice environment with an accommodating staff. If you live in or near Watertown this is a good spot to have a bite.

The food was so good I forgot to take a before picture and got to excited and ate all of it first. I’ve eaten at a lot of sushi places and they had SUCH a good variety of rolls. Staff was super friendly

I’m pretty much here once a week with my girlfriend. The Sushi is the best around bar none and the staff is incredibly friendly. You will not be disappointed going to Sakura!

I've been here a few times with friends and family. The food is always good, the cocktails and beer are also. The habachi performances were always entertaining and the atmosphere at midday is very calm and peaceful, where at night time it comes a bit more alive. The servers are all friendly. I recommend this place for great food and service.

My family and I had hibachi and the food is amazing the show put on my the cook is a great experience and a good laugh. Only down side which is mild in my opinion is the waitress seems to rush people. Otherwise I definitely recommend.

Beautiful and clean. Staff is very nice and food is always amazing. Have been going here for years and haven't had a bad dish yet. Out of all the steakhouses/hibachi in the area this is my preferred spot.

Wonderful restaurant with very attentive service. The battered vegetables are excellent, especially if you’re looking for a non-meat option. Lots of extras go with the meal, like rice, soup and salad. Great place to dine for lunch or dinner!
