Sub City

We are huge Sub City fans! It's our Friday date night place and have been to all 4 in our area. This is our favorite just because the owner is great. I don't even know her name but she is kind every time we see her.

Great variety, friendly staff, well priced.

Was planning on Subway, but ended up here. Brisket sub and buffalo Mac were both great. Daughter liked the ham & turkey sub.
The old train station building was cool too. Glad we drove by.

I'm from Wisconsin, so when I travel for work, I always look for something new. The sandwiches at Sub City are amazing, and the staff is very friendly. I highly recommend it. I have eaten here a lot over the past year.

I love the fact that I can get any sandwich as a salad without upsetting the staff or paying an upcharge. The food I've had was excellent and the staff friendly both times (different people). Definitely a place I will return to when possible.

It's been awhile since I've been here. That was a mistake. You get used to chain subs. After Sub City you realize how good a sub can be. The full size sub is easy two meals, if not more. My go to from now on.

Best place to grab a sub in the area. The selection is great, never had a bad meal here and the service is always super friendly.

Their sandwiches are on a different level than most sub shops. The bread, meat, veggies and other toppings are always fresh. And so many options on how to make your sandwich exactly what you like. NE Iowans know Sub City. They aren't all affiliated anymore like they were, but still fairly similar. Waverly is the one I visit most, but I love them all.

If there’s a long line you barely wait 5 minutes. Staff is friendly and bust their tails to get you your sub(s) quickly. These subs are generously filled so be prepared for your eyes and stomach to be overwhelmed in a sub sandwich dream.

Highly recommend! Fresh fresh FRESH. The bread was obviously made that day, ALL the vegetables were fresh and I loved the conversion of an old train depot. They have something for everyone!!!

First time eating there a couple weeks ago. Got the Buffalo Chicken sub. Their bread is better than any other sub joint and the sandwich as a whole is bigger and more tasty! 100% recommend!

Half sandwich had more meat than a footlong at Subway for less money. And the meat is higher quality. They need a toaster though!

Second visit. Just one word is needed to describe this. The word is awesome. I got the sub in a tub because I kinda am a 'tub'

Great selection of sandwich meats, fresh cut as you order. It was packed on a Saturday but the staff kept everything moving great.

Delicious subs every time I've gone. Super friendly. Feels kind of old school diner seating wise, cute. Has outdoor seating as well. Glad they are open on Sunday, not all Sub Cities are.

The absolute best! I no longer live in the area, but I make sure to stop in and order the #25 with the works anytime I'm in the area. Wish we had one in Des Moines!
