I am Killeen Hartigan Koontz. I had to get a new crown on an old tooth. I got a crown from Dr. Kim. It was a fabulous experience. I kid you not. It was finished in 1 appointment. The 3D crown was made right there in the room. It was fascinating to watch. I also watched The Help from start to finish. I have gone to Dr. Todd for many many years. When my tooth fell out while brushing my teeth, I called the office at 8 AM. Dr. Todd answered the phone. I offered to call back when the office people came in. He said,, "What is going on??? What tooth?? Etc." He made an appointment right there for me to come in and get it taken care of. Great office staff too. 👍

I was nervous about not having my teeth cleaned for years and was experiencing a toothache so I decided to visit this office. I had the best time because Meg was so kind, positive, knowledgeable, and understanding! I’ve had bad painful experiences with fillings growing up but here I couldn’t feel a thing. Unfortunately I just moved out of state but I highly encourage everyone to visit this warm and welcoming place.

I’ve only been to Johnson County Dental Care twice so far, first for a cleaning. Meg provided thorough care, had a positive attitude, and made me feel incredibly comfortable! I absolutely second the first review saying to ask for Meg. My second procedure was a simple filling; however, I was still very anxious as numbing agents don’t always work well on me and I am accustomed to experiencing pain during fillings, and I typically experience extended sensitivity in my teeth after having work done. Dr. Todd listened to my concerns during the procedure and provided enough anesthetic to give me what was one of the first truly stress-free fillings I’ve ever experienced! Plus, I have experienced no tooth sensitivity whatsoever after the first 24 hours! I am very impressed by my first two experiences at this office and am relieved to have an office that can assist in my dental health with both kindness and skill.

It is apparent form the minute you walk through the door that this is a patient centered and well run dental office. They have state-of-the-art equipment with knowledgeable and friendly personnel. They keep you informed through each procedure and make sure you are always comfortable. While lying in the chair waiting for the anesthetic to numb I was offered a favorite movie to watch along with headphones and a blanket. In the past I have had to make several appointments to complete a crown and a cleaning. Today I received all of the above at the same appointment. Dr Todd Thurlow did an excellent job on my crown and Jasmine Garcia, the hygienist, gave me a thorough gentle cleaning. It was a great experience......I love this office!

Had the BEST dentist experience because of the lovely dental hygienist, Meg. She cleaned my teeth with style and grace. She provided wonderful advice that I’m eager to follow up with her on at my next appointment. If you want the best, request Meg.

I am famously not a fan of going to the dentist and have severe anxiety for days before my appointments. Switching to this office has been the best decision of my dental related life. Everyone here is so calming and takes their time explaining each procedure they are doing. I have medical issues with my jaw and they are able to work around my comfort level and jaw mobility. I also have severely sensitive teeth along with the jaw issues, and after taking advice they have given, I feel like I have a whole new mouth. My son goes here as well and even as a kid, he has no complaints or worries about going to the dentist. I sincerely, highly, 100% recommend coming here, especially if you have any insecurities or anxiety regarding dental visits. Thanks so much to everyone on the team!

I had a great experience with Mary and Dr Todd. I was in for a simple checkup and cleaning, and felt like Mary was very thorough.

Everyone in the office is so pleasant, and I was in and out in no time.

I highly recommend Johnson County Dental Care, their new office in Overland Park is so nice, and so are their people.

Had the best hygienist, Kelly, who was super kind and very thorough. She talked me through each stage of the cleaning and did an amazing job. The dentist came in after and was also very easy going and very thorough and explained what he was looking for, any concerns he had, and what he felt I should do. Highly recommend!

I broke a tooth last night and called first thing in the morning. They got me in at noon the same day. Dr. Todd Thurlow is the best and the staff is very friendly. Built the tooth area up and I have another appointment in less than two weeks to get a permanent crown. They make the crown while you wait and you walk out with the permanent crown, not a temporary as with most dentists.

May 11, 2017 - another great experience at Johnson County Dental Care! The new office is very nice and the addition of Jasmine Garcia as Dental Hygienist was a fantastic hire. She is very gentle and is very thorough and professional. Well done Dr. Thurlows'!

Dr. Todd is the best dentist I've ever been to! He is extremely thorough and I know my teeth are in capable hands. The staff are also extremely friendly and knowledgeable, which makes me truly look forward to my dentist appointments.

I've been going here for almost 10 years and they are the best! Everyone is so kind and personable that I almost look forward to the dentist which is saying something since I have never had great teeth. Thank you Trudy, Kelly, and Todd for taking care of us!

I saw dental hygienist Kelly for my 6 month dental checkup. She was fantastic. She walks you through everything she is doing. She is kind and gentle and very attentive. Great experience!

It is actually Steve Larson that had the appointment. As always, the experience was first class! This time they went above and beyond by giving me a ride to re-unite my car keys with the car my wife was driving. She had dropped me off and the keys were in my pocket, so when she went to CVS and turned the car off, she could not restart it. Without hesitation, Dr. Lisa said someone would give me a ride and Trudy was kind enough to do so!! Thanks JCDC for being a great dental office and great friends.

I saw Dr. Todd Thurlow today for a consult, after getting very poor care at a different dental practice in Overland Park. I thought he was nice, very thorough and straightforward. The staff all seemed great. I was seen promptly. Very satisfied.

The office was clean and beautiful. The ladies at reception were sincere and kind. My hygienist was polite and thorough and was only seconded by Dr. Thurlow's mastery. Wow...I'll be back! My teeth feel smoother than a whale shark's belly.

Somehow I was either given an appointment card with an old date or I found an old one and put it on my fridge. Long story short, I came in 20 days too soon for my annual cleaning. They didn't blink an eye and made the appointment happen despite the obvious disruption to their previous flow. Other staff stepped in to help the hygienist. I feel valued.
