I love this park. It's usually empty with the exception of folks who live in the homes that abutt the park.
The city stopped stocking the pond, which is sad. They also no longer have the fountain turned on. Looks like it's even been removed! Which means the water is green and stagnate. Still, a quiet, well maintained park, with a shelter house, playground, restrooms, and a shelter/bandstand on the far side of the pond.
There is walking trail that is paved and moderately easy to walk or bike. I'm not sure if the project has been completed, but they were going to have the trail link up with the Katy Trail.

Beautiful park! it has a nice little playground, then further down in there are rolling grassy hills, a lake with a fountain and a gazebo nearby. Keep going and you'll wander down a well groomed, paved hiking trail that goes deep into the woods and crosses over a creek.

I see so many interesting birds here. Nice variety of habitats. The trail is paved straight back into the woods, and then it makes a T with a singletrack dirt trail that runs parallel to the bluffs and then down stairs to St Stanislaus Conservation Area. Good for easy hiking or running.

I've lived in Hazelwood for quite a while now and never went to this park but I think I'm going to keep coming back it was not busy the restrooms are right next to the playground which is extremely nice and my son found a sweet makeshift fishing pole.

This is a beautiful place to visit. It has a vast field and nature walk with natural beauty of water, forest and a variety of birds can be heard singing all over especially in the evenings and early mornings. There are also some benches to sit on in case you have a group event.

I love this park I live close by so it is very convenient. My border Collie mix, Wanda Lu and I walk the whole park every day. I grew up in Hazelwood. This park wasn't a park then. Belt's aquarium was on the entrance to the park. This family of ducks are there every day. I believe they have made Truman park there home. I seen them the 1st time. At the beginning of September. These ducks don't back off when you walk by. I wander how long they will stay.?

So I came here on whim to longboard around. It seems like it would be thrilling to ride here cause the hills are steep. Unfortunately it rained last night so it's really unsafe for me to ride the trails. Debris from the trees is everywhere. It's also still very wet in some spots. On a green day when they have cleared the trails and it's dry. I'm going to come back and let it rip.

Update: This park is great come get a good walk or run. Or just chill and enjoy the quiet.

Truman park is one of the quieter parks in Hazelwood. It has a long trail in the woods that is paved and suitable for hiking and bicycle riding, and would also be good for someone in wheelchair. The beautiful pond is a popular fishing spot and also has wheelchair access.

Always peaceful. The picnic area up top has a small playground perfect for little kids. The picnic area at the end of the road has a small lake perfect for fishing or feeding ducks

Sitting by the pond listening to the fountain is the most tranquil atmosphere ta ask for. The fishing ain't bad either.

Great for a picnic, hiking or dirt biking. Sneaky little park tucked away between a neighborhood. And they have a little pond!

This is one of the most beautiful parks that I've been to. It has a playground, horseshoe pits, fishing, TONS of honeysuckle, a restroom, picnic areas, well kept walkways, I just love it!

Fun place to take the kids. Lots of open space, playground, restroom, pavilion, picnic tables, fire ring, lake for fishing, and best of all, the trail at the back of the park connects to St. Stanislaus Conservation Area. Makes for a great hike.

My husband and I got married here August 15, 2015. We also just did Christmas family portraits here 2019! An absolute special place to us, and it can be for you, as well!!! The gazebo and pond are a hidden jewel!

Nice little park! There is a big pool that is more like a mini waterpark, there are a few playgrounds, and places to bbq and get together with family. My kids always have a lot of fun here.

Calm quiet park that is very in-tune with nature. The pond makes for great fishing, I just wish that parks in Hazelwood/Florissant, MO offered public Wi-Fi; information is an invaluable commodity, and this park is a great place to read!!!!!
