Rio Grande Fire Co Middle

At 12:25 am, 02/27/2021 , we had a carbon monoxide alarm sound at our home. We phoned the Rio Grande Fire Department. We were directed to move out of our house immediately “We are on our way “
Now, we are close the the fire house approximately a mile and a half . The first unit to arrive was in less than three minutes. Three fire dept. units and a Middle Township patrol unit arrived within five minutes. The Chief used a “ sniffer” a probe that detects carbon monoxide from just inside the front entry door before proceeding to the interior of the rest of our home. As the crew were investigating our alarm continued to sound. Each appliance, the stove , water heater , clothes dryer and the entire interior were probed for contamination. After exhausting all probable causes of any hazardous condition , we were given the ok to enter iur home. The cause of the alarm turned out to be a faulty detector.
Feeling very grateful for the service these fine individuals provide our community . Nothing is more powerful than knowing that sense of relief in having confidence with regard to a safe dwelling . Sleeping will be easy.
