Perfect place to stop after a day at the beach. We ordered the garlic clams, coconut shrimp with the potato salad and coleslaw, and flounder sandwich. Service was good, staff was very friendly and attentive, and atmosphere was nice.

A fun place that we don't visit often enough. The food is always super yummy, the staff is always, friendly, attentive and fast moving, it's BYOB and we always leave satisfied. The linguine with red clam sauce is so good. Buffalo calamari is super good, just ask for extra blue cheese. Just be prepared to wait a bit before being seated.

This place was phenomenal! Eat outside! Blackened scallops were like butter, Thai calamari was a party in your mouth, anything crab was a dream come true. Our waitress, Megan was the GOAT. So friendly, had the best suggestions and went above and beyond! 100% recommend Ship Bottom Shellfish!

Went here for our anniversary dinner and sat outside - cannot recommend this place enough!! The atmosphere is perfect and the food was absolutely delicious! It's BYOB which was pretty cool - there's also a liquor store across the street if you forgot to grab something before hand. 10/10 favorite place we ate during our trip to LBI!

Best restaurant on LBI hands down. Never had a bad meal here- a must go to when in LBI. Usually super crowded but takeout is just as good as dining in. Recommend eating outside! (Also it’s BYOB)

Instant sating, pleasant staff, good service fabulous fresh fish seafood, etc All homemade and tasty, no charge for extra sauces, outdoor seating with comfy chairs and umbrellas. Also a fish market but no indoor service at this time. Really enjoyed and highly recommend. Only negative was it was on a busy street, not on the water, but the quality of the food and the rest of the experience made it worthwhile.

Fantastic dinner last night! One of the few island restaurants still open this time of year with Ipswich clams. Woo-hoo! They were delicious. Generous and tasty portions of everything! Great atmosphere and very friendly staff. Can’t wait to return!

Everything was delicious as always, we had a large table and ended up with a long wait but that was understandable. There was a mix up on our order and we got the more favorable price without asking. If you have more than 4 on a busy night expect a decent wait. We had 7 and we're there nearly an hour before seating.

Very delicious menu and incredibly fresh seafood. Ordered Calamari and the salmon with a side salad and baked potato.

We finally made it over to Ship Bottom Shellfish for dinner. We were meaning to go for such a long time, I'm happy we were able to get in! We started with the Thai calamari. Husband had the New England clam chowder and I had the seafood bisque. For our entrees, my husband ordered the blackened grouper topped with Mexican street corn (dinner special) and I had the fried seafood combination. All food and service was outstanding! They are BYOB and do not take reservations. Pictures posted in same order as food listed in review.

A smaller, casual, and cozy seafood restaurant/fish monger. Extremely friendly and quick staff, and the food is delivered within seconds from the fryer to the table. A few parking spots in the back, and the rest room is around the corner of the restaurant.
We stopped by for lunch and got seated immediately, but the set up of the restaurant with separate entrance and exit for larger lines suggests that it can get quite busy. We had a delicious crab/brie wrap, which was not only unusual, but also wonderfully fresh. Our standard test for a seafood place is fish and chips, and SBS delivered. The cod was fried to perfection. It was just at the point of being fully cooked before becoming flaky. Light, fluffy, not greasy, and a taste of fresh sea water. Probably the best we ever had. The fries, homemade tartar sauce and cocktail sauces as well as the fresh Cole slaw were spot on, too. We will come again!

Really chill place. We had about a 15 min wait that ended up being more like 5 which was a nice surprise.

I had the seared tuna salad and my kids had chicken tenders and scallop dinners. Surprisingly alot of food! We will definitely be back.

I can’t wait to come back!! The food was delicious and fresh. The menu has a lot of options, and it’s a great serving size. Though we didn’t know it was BYOB, they should post that on the website, but there’s a liquor store nearby if you really want to get a drink.

We came for dinner just before 8 on a Wednesday; the wait was about an hour. The hostess was honest, courteous and professional even in the face of some guests who had a hard time with waiting. It’s BYOB and there is a liquor store across the street. We sat outside. The service was prompt and friendly and our 2 appetizers came very quickly. The Thai calamari was light and crisp and the seared tuna was amazing. We shared an entree (blackened tuna and crab cake) and were both very satisfied with our portion. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for an excellent seafood restaurant on the island.

This place never disappoints! I appreciate how they have every seafood item I could want on the menu. As an indecisive person, they do offer an entree that has a little bit of everything which is perfect! Then of course add on a bunch of sides and everything else.

Prices are reasonable here too. Seafood can get a little pricy but this local eatery is well priced.

For land lovers only, there are still some options for them as well. Just went with a friend of mine who is very particular on food and they offered a chicken sandwich option which worked perfectly.

Great food. Service is prompt. Reasonable prices. My favorite quick dine spot to go in LBI for seafood!

Delicious! So many yummy options it was hard to choose. The mussels in wine and garlic sauce, the New England clam chowder and the crab cake sandwich were all amazing! And the service was fantastic also!

Great little place on LBI. My family always goes there for the crab legs. Great to sit inside and cool off and have a great meal. Menu is big enough for anyone to find something they like.

I really enjoyed our lunch at Ship Bottom Shellfish. We were quickly seated on the porch as we requested in order to enjoy the nice weather. The waitress took our drink orders while we looked at the menu. We ordered the garlic clams with crab meat as an appetizer. They were a delicious alternative to clams casino. We then shared a cesar salad. We had plenty of time in which we were not rushed to finish before the entrees came out, a crab meat wrap and an oyster po' boy. Both were excellent. All in all an enjoyable meal with polite attentive service.
