Great breakfast joint! First off the story - I was in a Wawa at Rehoboth beach, when I asked one of their employees what is a good local breakfast joint. He first mentioned a franchise place and I explained further that I was looking for the place the locals go to, he directed me to the Lemon Tree, after he said that another employee stated that she loved that place and a customer said it is a must stop for their family during vacation season. While it was a long wait, it was expected because a sign asked us to be patience as they are short staffed. Our waitress was awesome and we share some good stories together. Of course the lemonade was off the charts incredible. but so was the breakfast, the home-fries were unusual, more like short fat French fries, they were delicious. My daughter order the pancakes and it was a hit, homemade and super thick. I would highly recommend this place.

I hate raring a place's atmosphere. It's a disservice to the little mom and pop owned eateries. Not every place is going to be peak luxury in it's atmosphere. Sometimes it's down-home simplicity.

If you are looking for good homestyle cooking in an unassuming strip mall, The Lemon Tree in Lewes, DE is an absolute delight. Quick and friendly service. Good food at an extremely affordable price, this is the place.

I ordered the three pancake breakfast, and the waitress said "look, these pancakes are huge. They are really big. Like the size of dinner plates, are you sure you want all three?" After pondering her advice/warning, I opted to get two pancakes at a reduced price. I should have listened. One pancake would have been more than enough. She wasn't joking about the size. As good as the pancakes are, I barely finished one. So, if you go to The Lemon Tree, and your waitress suggests maybe not getting the three pancake breakfast, listen to her. 😂

I grew up in the Rehoboth, Dewey, Lewes and Millsboro local areas. Graduated from Cape Henlopen class of 2003. Im so happy you folks are still doing your thing. I still go here when i am in town, and forever will. The negative reviews are just "tourons". Thank you all. Much love and respect Lemon Tree. Be back soon!

Hometown feel with good local cheesesteaks. We lost a trinket important to my son on vacation and they helped us look through the trash after closing to find it. Thank you❤

Dropped in on a recommendation from a friend. What a pleasant surprise! Quaint little spot for a fantastic home made breakfast. All made to order, delicious goodness. Prompt, courteous & friendly service. Nice hometown feel in a quiet setting. My wife had a simple, perfectly prepared eggs over easy, home fries & scrapple. My mushroom and cheese omelette was very good. Everything came out nice and hot. No doubt we’ll be visiting again. Oh, the best part…..they have the most competitive pricing anywhere in Lewes.

We love to head to Lemon Tree for a meal out! My husband had the pancake, literally the whole size of the plate. He’s a big eater & the pancake was fluffy & satisfying. He couldn’t have eaten more. I had 2 eggs over easy, rye toast, & bacon. I had so much bacon, hubby had to help me polish it off. Both breakfasts were delicious 😋! The owner is super friendly & her daughter is just as sweet. . Lunch is great too. This is a favorite spot for us. Highly recommend it!!!

It's a small town southern Delaware restaurant...that means good food and a friendly staff that treats you like they've known you for a while. They know how to cook scrapple properly. 😁

Best hidden place in lewes. Food is cooked to order. Staff is friendly. Great prices. Our first choice for breakfast at the beach

Owner and her kids are super nice. Obviously you have to take the time to know them. They are within walking distance of the marina we hauled out in. Ate there everyday for breakfast. Good portions. Great price.

Ordered and picked up breakfast to go 2 days in a row for the family. Really nice staff, great food and very reasonably priced food. The pancakes were huge ! Will definitely return next time I am in town.

I love this place. Friendly. Food made to order. Family place. My daughter has special needs. And when I found this place last year, it was 6am my daughter was crying and I was just going to take my food to go. I was told not to go anywhere this is a family place. it's ok. The waitress son came over with a toy to try and calm my daughter. This place stuck in my heart❤. I will return every time I'm in the area... thank you

Wonderful lady let me fill up my coffee & read while I waited for a surgery patient at the Lewis Surgery Center. Also they were the only place open at 6:30am!!! I will be back

The food was really good like homemade. We paid 42$ for breakfast at Honeys. The morning before Today $15 for two good egg meals. Visit this place it will pleasantly surprise you. Honestly I get tired of over inflated prices at other places. This might be our new ordinary place to go.

The food at Lemon Tree is wonderful! Breakfast today was delicious! Hubby had eggs, bacon and toast. I had chipped beef. Yummy! Service was fast and the staff is so nice!

I love that ALL the food is homemade and not out of the freezer or the microwave!!!! So I have to wait a little longer...I would rather eat Good Fresh Homemade food than eat Fast Food which I can't tell if it is the paper plate or the actual food. The owner Terry has been here for over 20 years and is a hard worker and a wonderful person. It's a TERRIFIC little Restaurant in the Lewes area!!

Don't let the look of the place fool you, this place is wonderful and the staff is warm and courteous. Delicious Ruben sandwiches, juicy hamburgers, and the best chicken tenders anywhere - all accompanied with crunchy french fries fresh from the fryer. We will definitely visit this place again.
