I was recommended this funeral home to cremate our miscarried babygirl born at 14 weeks. We are absolutely devestated and we were handled with nothing but love, compassion, respect and care. I can’t believe how selfless and kind these people are in what they do. Thank you for taking care of my baby and providing me with the peace and comfort of knowing she will always be able to be with me, and providing us with all of this for free out of the kindness of your hearts. I can’t express the amount of gratitude that I have for Stacey and his staff. They went far and before with help all the way. They have the most impressive funeral car around definitely a way to make sure your family members get the best service ever. Recently my wife,Margaret, passed after a long illness. Garr Funeral Home provided the showing and burial services. All involved at Garr including Stacy and Lee were sensitive to our needs and understood the stress and sorrow the family was experiencing. They were highly professional.

I am SO happy knowing I chose the best place to care for my loved one & provide an absolutely beautiful, peaceful ceremony. You can tell Stacey with Garr Funeral Home takes so much pride in his career. He SHOULD take pride in himself. He answered each and every question we had and just really made the whole process a little bit easier. Everything was done with such care and grace. I can not express into words how compassionate and caring Stacey Tompkins and the staff of Garr Funeral were during the arrangements for my dad. After Stacey finished with one funeral, he drove all night to New York to pick up my dad from that funeral home, turned around and drove another 10 hours to get my dad back home in Indiana. We recently had my sisters funeral services at Garr in Sellersburg Indiana and I honestly cannot praise this place enough. They are filled with so much compassion and went above and beyond for my family. Two specific persons who I dealt with personally were Stacey and Alan. Stacey walked me through every step and process we had to take to get the funeral planned and ready. He sat and talked with me for hours and made sure everything was perfect and exactly how I wanted it to be for my sister. He even let me come in and have one last “sister” day with her so I could fix her hair and paint her nails and that was the best thing I could’ve asked for. Alan was the man behind the scenes always making sure we had what we needed. He helped us clean the kitchen and helped me gather all of our belongings after the funeral. This funeral home felt like family and not like a business. I honestly cannot praise them enough and I will shout it to everyone on how incredible this place truly is. They weren’t the only funeral home I called and dealt with, but I am so glad I went with them in the end.

Amazing place! We lost my sister. We went here for our funeral and memorial needs. The place was so respectful and welcoming very clean and nice. They did absolutely amazing.!!! We 100% recommend!!

This is the second time I have attended a Funeral at this funeral home. I have to say this place is very clean, people are so caring and understanding. The funeral director named Stacey was willing to help in any kind of way and to make sure every need was taking care of. Without a doubt this is where all my love ones will be taken to.

We went through a traumatic 3 weeks and this place was the best I could have ever asked for. My mother and father both passed away, my mother after a long illness (and the person that prepared her for viewing, I believe his name was Stacey, made her look at least 10 years younger and if she had never been sick) and then 23 days later my father unexpectedly passed away. They made the whole process as easy as possible and my family appreciates that immensely.

I attended a funeral this week of a close friend. There is nothing I could say negative about this place and staff. Everything was very nice.

They are nice and very courteous to you to help you with your loved one and to help you in your time of me yes I would recommend them very much

The best in the business!!!!! I hope I don't have to see any of you all anytime soon but I am glad to know that if I need you, you all will be there for us like you all have been for the past 40 years!!! Don't go anywhere else!!!!!

Really nice place and a very positive and supportive staff, Stacy helped my family get through the process of doing the services for my grandmother and everything was to her liking she would be proud and happy with how everything went. Stacy and his team were beyond the best people to work with couldn’t recommend them anymore.

I can not put into words how wonderful this place was with my family when my momma passed.
Not only did my momma look wonderful we were treated like we were family to Stacey and his staff. They went above and beyond for us.
Then let's talk about the AWESOME hurst... Let's just say momma went out in style smiling all the way.
