Love the staff! My son goes to the Floyd county library every day after school. They always treat him so well. They all seem to genuinely care for their community. Feeding the homeless and offering a place to get out of the elements . Most places, even "public" places, treat people harshly if they look less than desirable.

We took the kids here for Gingerbread House Holiday Extravaganza and they enjoyed it
We saw Santa, live reindeer, craft and gingerbread house kits

The staff here is so friendly and very welcoming. I enjoy chatting with many of them. It’s a nice place to read and also use the internet with their fast WiFi. I think they’re doing a great job and keeping this the best library in southern Indiana.

This library is one of the best! The staff here are truly great, they can strike up a friendly conversation and help you out if need it! A great library for studying and reading (of course) the atmosphere is pretty quite, I suggest upstairs for studying, downstairs has the kids section. Also great for kids if you need a activity to find.

Usually a good quiet place to study. There has been some remodeling done. The librarians are nice and helpful and there are always some activities going on. Each month they publish a calendar both online on a sheet available in the library.. Checking books in and out is a snap with their new automated system. Library & late fees are no longer a thing.

I just needed to use the computer and printer as a last-minute issue I had to deal with. Staff was super helpful and very informative the whole time I was there and on the phone when I called before hand as I am not a county resident and had questions.

The Floyd County Public Library is a very nice, well-organized and staffed location to check out books or get on the computer. They even have a Community Food Pantry for those that need it. They've expanded their kids' area and added an entrance near the Strassweg Auditorium. They're really taking care of things!

It's the taj majal as far as I'm concerned , the only other place I'd rather be is in my wife's arms. I beyond grateful for the hospitality, and hope I'm carrying my weight. Steve's a hell of a guy, salt of the earth.
Thanks again my brother, Merry Christmas. John C.
They said comment on where I was right now.....the library was two days ago...oh well.

I took my family there for the polar express activities. They also got to see Santa. Everyone was so nice, and there was a lot of fun for the kiddos. Indoor snowball, hot cocoa, pictures with Santa, polar express movie, ornament making and more activities. Very thoughtful!

This is probably one of my favorite libraries, the staff is always friendly and so helpful!! It's always clean. The downstairs area usually has some local history to show off.

My daughter and I went to the library to check out some books for her. Some was what she liked. Some for education. Learning to read books. Some cartoons DVD's. We walked around the library checking it out. They remodeled the inside. One thing I seen wasn't there. Was the old newspaper circulation and historical reference area. I hope they put that back in. I loved going in there and checking out our history.

I have had so many positive experiences with the New Albany Library. The staff year after year are great. i believe they have grown and there are always plans to revitalize the library space. i would hope the community would appear at the city meetings to discuss more funding and for this well used public library. The library works to meet all ages interest and research needs. The children and Teen area gets much use.
I give them 5 stars!
