The INN At Canal Square

After about 10 attempts to stay here (this location books quickly in season) we finally reserved a room in early February. This is a very centrally located hotel for the main Lewes "downtown" (essentially 2 blocks) shopping and dining area and convenient to the state park as well as the shopping centers. The staff was very nice and welcoming. Our room was clean and bright with everything functioning. We had a very nice European style breakfast included in the price of our room. We will stay here again when the opportunity presents itself.

Very cute Inn. Rooms are very spacious. Balconies overlook the Canal. If you want the best views make sure to get rooms on the 3rd or 4th floor. Breakfast was really nice. The location is great for exploring Lewes by foot. Definitely would come back again.

Lovely boutique hotel on the Canal. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Our room had a small patio deck where we enjoyed our morning coffee overlooking the Canal. Just wonderful!

Room was clean, it was a very quiet and comfortable stay. The breakfast is excellent. There were different types of fruits, baked goods and coffee.

The inn is absolutely lovely. The rooms are very nice, spacious and spotless. The staff are really nice and helpful. Love that it is in downtown Lewes where you can walk to the great restaurants. The views from the rooms are good. You can see either the quaint town or the canal. This was our second visit and it was as good as the first.

Nice spot, great location. Our rooms (Admiral's) were great - 2 floors with kitchen, living room, bathroom on bottom and 2 bed/bath up. Deck overlooking canal. Only downside was noise from rowdy boats and bars.

Our first time at the Inn and we Loved every day. Beautiful Inn, great location, lovely view, wonderful continental breakfast and the best massage; shout out to Michelle! We’ll be back soon!

This is a really nice hotel right in the heart of Lewes. We had a 3rd floor room with a large balcony over looking the canal. The free continental breakfast was very good. Everyone was polite and very helpful. I would stay here again definitely.

Just got home from a beautiful getaway at the Inn. The staff were very accommodating and the rooms were impeccable! Such a beautiful view overlooking the water and the whole atmosphere was great. The rooms were so clean and inviting. We will definitely be back!!

Such a lovely and quaint old town, and a perfectly placed inn. My first experience with this place was wonderful; the front desk staff were super helpful and friendly, even went the extra mile to go buy a bottle of wine for our engagement celebration! The only thing that was really lacking was the breakfast; we arrived just 30 minutes into the morning and all the coffee was gone, and nothing was all that filling. However, it's a small note on an otherwise great stay!

Very friendly staff . Just a beautiful place to stay . I'll be back this may . It would be hard to find a better place to stay ......UPDATE....... we've been back several times since the last review. This is our go to place to have a long weekend or just a get away. We came down for our 2 yr anniversary this weekend and I wouldn't want to spend it anywhere else.

We stayed at the Inn while settling on and finishing our new Lewes home! The large, clean and sanitized rooms, coupled with the most excellent location could not have been more satisfying! Kudos the the housekeepers, front desk (Karli and Don), and management (Mike). Highly recommended!

Room 402.... exactly what I wanted. Top floor, great view (coffee at sunrise), clean room, quiet and COMFY bed. Friendly and helpful staff and you can't beat the 10% discount guests receive at the local liquor store!

Bath salts were a nice touch, too.

Beautiful Inn with the atmosphere of a li arge B&B. Just arrived today in time for the Christmas house tour in Lewes, Delaware. We were lucky to get the last two rooms as we made the reservations in October. If you plan to come for this particular weekend in the future, I'd recommend making reservations earlier or plan on being lucky. It's right downtown in the historic area so we're right in the middle of the tour houses.

My favorite place to stay in Lewes. Not one complaint! Front desk team are wonderful, housekeeping are friendly and accommodating to your needs. Perfect location.

After living in Lewes for over 25 years, it was great to come back to visit and stay at the Inn for a long weekend. Off season is a great time to visit Lewes and take advantage of wonderful local resatuants, shops and Cape Henlopnen S.P.. Rooms at the Inn are spacious and beautifully decorated, staff incredibly accommodating, breakfast much more than we expected. One of our best hotel experiences ever.

We got married this weekend and all 28 of our guests stayed at the Inn. All of us were impressed by the incredible view of the canal, the staff, Monica,Lou and Jesse. The Inn was our centerpiece. Very impressed

What a beautiful Inn! The weather didn't cooperate but we had a great time. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was fresh each morning and tasty. We can't wait to return!

This place is a gold mine. I love the service. The rooms are spacious, clean, and very comfortable. I highly recommend this place for a lovers get away or just a great time for peace and tranquility.
