Beautiful way to spend the day! Great walk especially when you stop to observe the little details like the abandoned beaver dam/pond area or the unexpected vernal pool area for the fairy shrimp that you could easily miss if you didn't notice the signs of the pool, even in fall! Can't wait to go back!

This place is amazing. The best part of the trail is the part that closes from March to June. This has the best rock formations and views. Well maintained. Well marked. No dogs allowed. Parking is limted

This is a really nice, yet little known, hike across a ridge. The trails are well marked with information placards along the way. The view from the ridge is very nice, it looks out west at Mount Philo and the lake. There are several spots where birds hover on the currents.

It was a beautiful sunny day. Weather cool, trail well maintained. Lower part is wide and smooth for folks needing accessibility. No dogs allowed.
Today we walked the loop. We took 2 hours. Great views. Well maintained and marked trail.

Great spot with lovely views from the top. Not too crowded on a Saturday afternoon. Cool structure called The Oven near the summit. Hiking poles would be useful for people with unstable joints. Neat transition from marshy area to hilltop.

Absolutely beautiful and easy hike! Several outlooks along the ridge, plus make sure you see the natural formation known as “The Oven” (see trail guide for location). Easy drive from Burlington.

Man, I love folds! Beware of the porcupine that hides in the anticline. I've heard he's quite feisty!

I really cannot understand why there are so many 4 star ratings. This is a free, beautiful, and great hiking area. Folks, please appreciate what we have while we have it. The work done on the boardwalk was a major undertaking so you could enjoy it. The trails are great, the views are great, and the dragonflies are great. Yes, it does not allow dogs. There is info on the sign for other areas around there that do.

I was a bit worried as TNC advised it is being over-visited. Not in my case. I was the only one there for a 2 hour visit. Trails seemed overgrown in several areas and no litter to be seen anywhere. Easy to stay on trail and little opportunity to get lost on the loop. Incredible ecological diversity. Peaceful, quiet and stunning. The mosquitos were BAD on the 88° plus 90% humidity Friday but I knew the risks. Lovely spot worthy of saving.

Easy hike, we had 3 kids (youngest 3) and we made it up and down without too much whining

Very neat Nature Conservancy natural area with wetlands including vernal pools and a boardwalk; shagbark hickory and dry natural communities; bobcat and rare bat habitat and lots of other good stuff. Other wildlife include porcupines, Ravens, deer etc. some parts of the trail close for bobcat and bird breeding. Hunting by permission only.

I thought the trail was great for all physical capabilities and it had a combination of Boardwalk, bridges, views and a little elevation. Well maintained and family friendly

This is a great little hike. In a state with a lot of nature it's nice to have a trail to enjoy it.

Bobcats and ravens nest here March through mid-June, closing the loop trail to humans. Worth visiting regardless.

Walk the whole circuit, including the length of the ridge. The westward views are great but so us the mixed hardwood forest.
