Pig & Publican

We wanted to try a new spot with a creative menu that still offered something for less adventurous customers. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. Our server was a great help. We each narrowed down our choices and she helped us figure out what to try. I went with the fish and chips, and my husband opted for the Italian chicken sandwich. The fish was cooked perfectly. I don't like a soggy breaded fish, and this was nice and crispy with a flaky inside. The fries had a good taste and were also cooked right. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his choice as well. He only ate half of his sandwich, and when he ate the rest the next day he said it was just as good as when he first ordered it. We're looking forward to going back and trying the other items we were considering.

The salad was packed with flavor, including mango slices and chili-lime dressing. The Publican Salad was on the Daily Specials menu. My husband had the Publican Burger (also specials), which might have been the most flavorful burger I've ever had. I did not take a photo of it sooner because I had not decided to steal a bit until he was almost done.

Great food! Very tasteful, nice atmosphere and really friendly service.

A hidden gem off of the main restaurant area of Lewes. Wonderful wines and excellent attention at the bar...meals were outstanding and the server and manager were Very attentive. We can't wait to visit again.

Really enjoyed a few drinks and appetizers. Will return Thursday to try their specials...

New to the area and stopped in to check it out. The staff has an awesome sense of humor. The food is really good and a million beers to choose from. Will be back

Have gone back 3 more times.. I think it's the best food in Lewes

We've ordered 3 entrees. The Publican burger is moist, cooked to perfection and tasty. Chicken cutlet is very good, tender and good flavor. The steak and duck dashi is very well made noodle soup/meal, the steak and duck combination is very mouth watering entree. Our server is very attentive and gave us an excellent service

Atmosphere is relaxed and inviting. We had the fish and chips, fish tacos and beach fries. The fish tacos have a great crunch and are a bit spicy if you like spice! Portion sizes are large. Our waitress Brin was attentive and pleasant. This place is clean and comfortable.

The fries with the cheese and garlic aioli are spectacular. I don't know what the rest of them taste like, honestly I don't know that it's worth finding out 😉. It's a very relaxed atmosphere day hello to Chipper.

Five out of five, but if I could give it a ten out of ten, I would. I have been to this restaurant only twice but have fallen in love with the food and the atmosphere both times. My server, Ms. Robyn- I don’t think I spelled her name right so please pardon me- was the same server I had both times and provided me and my friends with excellent service. I will always try to have her as my server, if possible. The picture that you see, was my entree of the night, and it was incredible how delicious it was. The chefs and cooks in the kitchen clearly put so much pride and dedication into their dishes and love their job dearly. Thank you so much for the great food and well done. Great host, meals & service for our first time in. Highly recommend Flanders Cosmo, Aguachile & Fish tacos! The guys got the pub burger which was also perfect. It was the trifecta of a great Friday night.

Awesome service! The waitress was very friendly and conversational! The dishes we got were Thai and some of the best pad thai I have ever had! It says spicy but it wasnt too spicy for me. After, we got the peanutbutter pie....amazing! So delicious I'm sure I could eat the whole pie by myself!

Excellent meal! Definitely loved the wild mushroom soup, tasty lobster roll though oniony. Crispy wings and Reuben very good. I want to go back just for that soup! Excellent staff, all of them!

This is simply a wonderful place all around. I first have to say that the staff is so friendly and thoughtful. You feel like family when you come here even if it's your first time. The food is excellent and there's a wide selection. Date night is a steal! Happens every Thursday. Two entrees, a bottle of wine and a shared appetizer or dessert for $49! Can't beat it! This is one of our favorite restaurants in the Lewes/Rehoboth area.

First time here and don’t know how we’ve not been here before. Service awesome - Rachael great great great. Soaking clean. Food was fabulous. All the recommendations and the specials were mouth watering. Pierogies and mussels to start and Thai noodles and shrimp special for dinner. INCREDIBLE! Great great experience.

We had a wonderful dinner and awesome beer list. The service and atmosphere were great too. This place has been a staple for us the last four years since we discovered it. My wife gets the Turkey sandwich with red onion and cranberry cream cheese. All the food that I have had there have been great.

Great find, extensive beer selection. Stopped in on busy Friday night around 8, had a delicious turkey, cranberry sandwich on a pretzel bun....enough for two meals! My husband thoroughly enjoyed his fish tacos. We will return.

Waitress is very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu, both meals were excellent well cooked well dressed, the wine and the beer also were good. Will definitely come back again. Highly recommend this restaurant
