Truly Amazing Service! Food was outstandingly prepared with a wonderful presentation! Every bite took you on an adventure through flavor town! Food is priced accurately, especially adding in the prep time, changing out of plates, silverware, and the attention to detail! Definitely brag worthy! I never met a dish that didn't deserve to have it's picture taken! Thank you for the best dining experience and shame on you for ruining my dining experience at other restaurants!

Truly one of the most incredible, satisfying, and delicious meals I've ever had. Everything from service to food was impeccable. We went to celebrate a college graduation and it was definitely Masters degree worthy! It is quite expensive, but we knew that going in! Just be aware of prices before going and you will be fine. The food is worth every single penny!

We moved to Indiana 1 1/2 yrs ago and have struggled to find really good food. We were referred to J Fords by a co-worker. OMG I can't give it enough stars. First, our server Skyler was amazing, she is a total asset to J Fords. We got the shrimp cocktail for our appetizer, the shrimp were huge and tasted so good. The cocktail sauce was awesome. I got the wedge salad and my husband got the French onion soup, both were amazing. The blue cheese dressing was the best I've had. I got the ribeye and my husband got the ahi tuna and both were above and beyond great. My husband loved the blue cheese butter. To end a most wonderful meal, I got the decadence dessert and my husband got the bread pudding. Both were the perfect ending for a phenomenal birthday dinner. The decadence dessert was unlike anything I've ever tasted and the best dessert I have ever had out. Everything was above and beyond delicious and Skyler was a most wonderful addition to the evening. Can't wait to go again. I highly recommend this place.

Absolutely amazing!!!!! I thought that there was nothing that would ever compare to Todd Jurichs in Virginia! But this place is right up there on the top of my list! We moved here in 9/2021, his family is from Rockville and I have not had this good of restaurant since I moved to Indiana! The barrel cut steak was so tender I don’t even think I chewed it! The truffle mashed potatoes and port wine mushrooms amazing! And the goat cheese appetizer! Amazing! Let me talk about the service I didn’t catch her name, but perfect service! Hell she cleaned after my husband and his crumbs, I don’t even clean up after him! Yes it is pricey, but it is worth every penny and every bite for the best food!

We had one of the best meals of our lives. The food was interesting and absolutely delicious. Atmosphere was top notch and the service was excellent.

We were in from out of town-what a great choice! Amazing service and the food was amazing. All dressings are homemade, and dessert was great.

We celebrated a birthday with 8 on a Friday evening. The service was impeccable. Our waiter and his assistant were very attentive and thorough with our cocktail order and menu order. Filets were excellent, my favorite was the French onion soup. The specials were unique and plentiful. All the staff was friendly, the restrooms were spotless and very easy parking. The owner came by our table to say hello. We will definitely return next time we are in Terre Haute.

My wife and I moved here a year and a half ago. We were having a very hard time finding just the right combination of quality food, great service and a fair price that we didn't have to travel an hour or more for.
Tonight we found it. From the initial opening of the front doors, we found J. Fords to be just what we were looking for. I won't rattle on about each thing we ordered. Each and every thing presented to us was wonderful. The service was second to none.
We will definitely be returning and trying different things since everything was just as right as right can be. Thank you for a very memorable birthday dinner!

Everything about this place was a good experience. We had reservations elsewhere but were not happy with service. We got up, left and called J Ford's Black Angus. Luckily they were nice enough to understand our plight and were able to get my fiance and me in there short notice for an absolutely delectable meal. Thank you!

My husband and I went here on a whim last Saturday evening after a very long day of travel. I was nervous about going in because we didn't have a reservation and how casual we were dressed, but they were very welcoming and sat us right away. The level of service they provided was like nothing I have ever seen before and the food was AMAZING. The batter fried mushrooms melted in the mouth and our steaks were cooked perfectly. The menu was full of interesting options and the martini I had was exceptional. We will definitely be back!! I really admire this establishment, you can tell that they truly care about the food and the experience that their customers have.

Really spectacular meal. I had the ahi tuna, which was seared to perfection. Truffle fries side, very generously sized. Finished with the butter cake for dessert.

Best food I've ever had in my life. Shhh... Don't tell my grandma 😅 outstanding. The food, for starters, is worth every penny. The seafood duo (our starter) consisted of crab cakes and scallops. I've visited the east coast, where they pride themselves on seafood and let me tell you, Jeff's crab cake and scallops were the most delicious seafood I've ever eaten in my entire life. I literally cried real tears because of how excellent this food was.

Very well put together establishment very friendly servers offering everything never had to ask for refills and food was amazing couldn’t have asked for a better dinner with wife and family

The food here is always nothing but the best along with the service and atmosphere. This is the best steakhouse around, and no one can come close to competing with it. The menu is unique and the feature's are always interesting and delicious. The wine list is very good and with tons of options to enjoy with your dinner.

A party of 14 was served on NYE with exception service and food. The veal parmesan was outstanding! Will visit again soon👍

Many of my friends tell me that Stables is the best steakhouse in Terre Haute, but this is simply false. J. Fords is unparalleled in the quality of their cuts, preparation, and general ambience. All of their waiters are kind and professional, their dishes that aren't steak are just as good as the steak, and the timing between courses was just right.

If you haven't heard of or been to J. Fords, you truly are missing out. It is by far my favorite place to go with friends to celebrate a special occasion and make it memorable.

That can easily accommodate bigger groups and the noise level was just fine, they have several rooms separated by doors to block out noisy people.

I absolutely love this place. Best restaurant in Tere Haute. Lobster bisque and New York strip was completely unbelievable.

My son and his wife visited on Saturday night. They thought the food was wonderful, and the service exceptional. The only downside they commented about: lack of Christmas decorations, and a television on. They felt the restaurant lacks ambiance. Just FYI. It has been 10 years since I ate there for our 40th Anniversary and it was wonderful at that time. Don't remember a television, but perhaps we were in a different area.
