Old Oak Inn

Absolutely the best place to stay when traveling through Indiana! Gorgeous home, quiet, peaceful; Beds were amazing! Breakfast was delicious! Hospitality top of the charts! Price was economical!

I had the pleasure of staying here during the NAIA track finals and I couldn't have been happier with the experience. The location to campus was close enough to be convenient but away enough to enjoy the peace and quiet of the country setting. The room was immaculate. The house was spacious and roomy. The other guests were pleasant, and the highlight of the stay was enjoying breakfast with them all the following morning. And the breakfast...Karen serves up the most delicious meal you'll ever have. She is a courteous and generous host. Definitely will be staying here again, and so should you!

What a delightful escape from franchise hotels! Perfection in every way: gracious, friendly innkeepers (Karen and Dan); room amenities including a comfortable mattress and fluffy towels; gourmet home-cooked breakfasts (thank you, Karen!); and the charm of a lovingly restored farmhouse surrounded by calming fields of emerald green crops. Hoosier hospitality at its finest!

If there were more stars available I would give them! Karen is a wonderful person full of genuine hospitality. Immaculately clean environment throughout the entire home with a delectable and hearty breakfast! You are sure to leave in every way satisfied with your stay. I had never stayed in a B&B before. I loved it! The home is clean & decorated so beautifully. The overall ambience was very warm & inviting. The inn keeper, Karen, is very kind & thoughtful. You could tell she really has a passion for making sure her guests are comfortable & cared for. She really paid attention to details. And o my can she cook!! Breakfast was absolutely delicious & could feed plenty. Highly recommend staying here over any hotel!

Both Dan and Karen made us feel like we were a part of the family. The trips we had to make to Marion certainly were not for pleasure and very much a stressful situation. Both Karen and Dan did everything they could to make those visits not only enjoyable but that much less upsetting to us. They were a wealth of information and joy! Every day Karen made it a point to visit with us just like she had known us for years, all while we enjoyed her scrumptious home-cooked breakfast. Those morning meals were certainly worth the few extra pounds we each returned home with!

The Old Oak Inn is a true gem! The decor is chic yet comfortable and inviting. Everything is fully modernized without giving up surrendering the old-world charm the home still very much possesses.

I would 10000% recommended the Old Oak Inn! Karen was the sweetest and most kind hostess. I got ready for my wedding here, and stayed the night as well. The bedrooms are very clean, beds are comfortable, and the house is quiet. Karen was very accommodating to my vegetarian lifestyle and the morning breakfast was outstanding! Seriously one of the best I’ve ever had. I felt like I was in a movie!! The property is quaint and stunning. Truly a gem. 10/10, thank you Karen!! 💛

Karen was an amazing host and the Inn is absolutely gorgeous! When our weekend plans ended up getting cut short, she was incredibly gracious and accommodating. The rooms were spacious and beautifully furnished. This was our first experience ever in a Bed and Breakfast and I’m almost worried it set my standards too high for anything that will follow. Also, the food was bountiful and delicious! Thank you again, Karen, for hosting us this weekend! If we are ever in the area again, we will not hesitate to stay at the Old Oak Inn. We loved it!

Delightful service and gourmet breakfast! This Inn is absolutely beautiful; care taken in every detail of the old home/Inn renovation and design. You will experience warmth and comfort "like being at home" yet truly swept away in a dreamy get away that will leave you feeling pampered, refreshed, and renewed. The scenic views from all sides of the Inn are breath-taking. We hope to be back!

I could stay here forever! This place is as perfect as it gets. Mrs. Karen was so accommodating and friendly; she was more than happy to chat and was so pleasant. Breakfast was more than enough and the coffee was really good. The view from the house is exactly what you'd desire from a Midwest farmhouse, with corn rows for miles and plenty of peace and quiet. Although the house was built in 1903 the rooms were updated sufficiently with modern amenities and nicely tiled bathrooms. I CANNOT wait to stay here again this September when I return for the James Dean Festival in neighboring Fairmount. I give this B&B an A+

We had a wonderful stay at the Old Oak Inn. Our host and hostess were very friendly and accommodating! We really appreciated all the little extras like the treats and water bottles in our room. The house is beautifully decorated as well. Everything was clean and first class! The breakfast in the morning was delicious and included a breakfast casserole, two different types of sweet rolls, fresh fruit, coffee, tea and more. Should I happen to be back in the area anytime soon, I will definitely stay again!

The INN was so beautiful. The Hostess very gracious and accommodating. Treated us like family. We had the place to ourselves for the weekend. The room was very nicely done, clean, and appealing. The rate to stay was very reasonable. Breakfast was very delicious. She even catered to my pickiness. Will always stay here when going back to Indiana. All the amenities you could ever need within 10 mins. You have to stay here when you come.

The Old Oak In was absolutely amazing!!! My wife and I stayed there while we were there for IWU's first ever football game. Dan and Karen we're tremendous, the house was gorgeous and the breakfast was wonderful and delicious! It was very peaceful and a fantastic setting and environment. I have told many people about it already and I highly recommend the Old Oak Inn! We can't wait to stay there again!!!

Dan and Karen make you feel like family when you stay there. Our daughter attends IWU and is a Junior this year. We stay down here when we come and visit. The rooms are very clean. The homemade breakfast is amazing and you feel part of their family when you stay there. Highly recommend staying here if you're in the area.

We absolutely loved our stay at Old Oak Inn. It is beautifully decorated, and our hostess Karen was so open & gracious! It was like staying at a relative’s house where you know you’re always welcome. Everything was comfortable & homey, and the breakfasts were amazing! I’m still dreaming about that quiche!! We may have to find reasons to visit the area again, lol. It was also our first experience at a B&B, so we’re definitely going to try others...but they‘all have a LOT to live up to! Old Oak Inn wonderfully exceeded our expectations. ☺

We stayed here while we were in town for a college graduation and had such a wonderful experience! Karen was a perfect host! I would highly recommend this inn to everyone! Beautiful rooms, peaceful setting, and a delicious breakfast!!

I completed a 5 day stay here, Karen is phenomenal. The B&B was not only comfortable, beautiful and well appointed all of the extra touches and considerations made me feel welcomed. I highly recommend Old Oak Inn and look forward to stay with them for my next residential.

A beautifully restored farmhouse with modern amenities... This B&B has it all! Karen is a wonderfully gifted hostess who has a knack for decor with personal touches...and it shows everywhere you turn!

We will definitely be back every single time we are in town for an IWU event!

PS...we even had to get a jump to start our 4Runner...and help was there in a jiffy! Thx again for a wonderful stay!

My father and mother in law stayed here for a few days while they were visiting us in Marion. They loved everything including the owners who were very nice. They also invited my wife and I for breakfast during my in laws stay there and it was phenomenal. Great, clean, and friendly place.
