Atlantic Sands Hotel & Conference Center

Enjoyed our weekend stay. Staff was very friendly. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The Tiki restaurant was great.

Jen and Melissa were great! They were very nice and courteous during check in and helped us solve a problem that wasn’t their/the hotels fault at all. But they still went the extra mile to make sure we were going to be able to enjoy our stay as much as possible.

Such a nice hotel on the beach and walkable stores and restaurants. The staff was also kind and helpful. I was only in town for a night, but will definitely plan a longer stay next time.

Just went for my birthday weekend. The hotel was full with a lot of families with children so if you want a spot at the pool snag a lounge chair early. I was there for the beach so it worked out for me. Great location. I recommend staying on first floor so you don't have to deal with the elevator and beach access is right there. The GM Craig is great. I had a couple issues with my room and he addressed it immediately. I used to stay at Henlopen and had such a bad experience last time and reached out to GM Lonnie and front desk manager but no one ever got back. I am so happy I tried something new it was a great trip.

We had a glorious New Years, the lady at the front desk (Courtney?) allowed an early check in which was greatly appreciated. Longtime SANDS customer, will continue to be so. Thanks to the entire team and here's to 2024!

Stayed for four nights with a family of 5, in a queen suite. Hotel is in a great location as it is right on the boardwalk and steps from the beach. With that said, hotel room had a mildew smell, some things need to be upgraded (toilet sit was a bit worn, had to hold down handle a while for it to flush), you can tell room vents have not been cleaned probably ever. Carpet in the room seems very old. Glad I brought a blow up mattress due to the pull out bed feeling like just springs in your back. Some hotels I feel secure being barefoot while this one I wore slippers and flip flops the entire time, even in the shower. It’s your typical shore hotel.

My Family Reunion was held at this hotel last weekend. The event was an excellent experience for all of my family that traveled from several different states to attend. Joe, Mercedes, and the entire Atlantic Sands Hotel team did a great job from start to finish. They were very helpful during the months of planning the event, very accomodating during the set-up of the banquet rooms, and extremely customer focused and attentive as guests arrived and enjoyed the food and activities. I will definitely consider this venue for future events! Thanks Atlantic Sands Hotel!

The proximity to the beach is literally amazing! The service was really nice, the lady at the front desk asked about our travels while creating the paperwork for free parking and the room keys. They have balcony rooms available as well as suites and the views from the room were magnificent, you can sleep with the door open listening to the waves. The boardwalk is very sparse in the off season but the beach is just as relaxing!

We stay here once a year for our annual family vacation to Rehoboth Beach. You can’t beat the location and all of the employees are friendly and helpful from maintenance to housekeeping to the front desk staff. The hotel also recently had some renovations. Our room had new carpets, appliances, and furniture.

The Atlantic Sands provided a stellar experience for my recent wedding. We had a beachfront ceremony followed by a reception in the Swan Ballroom. Joe, Mercedes, and his team provided top-notch customer service. We were so pleased with the hospitality, food and beverage options, and beauty of the hotel. Many of our guests commented that this was the best wedding they had ever attended. The hotel provided a fabulous guest experience and provided beautiful accommodations for my family and friends. I truly felt like my experience as a bride was their top concern for the weekend. Can't say enough good things!

My best friend and I had a girls getaway in October 2021 at The Sands and it was a great stay. We had an oceanfront room which was amazing! The hotel location is literally steps from the hotel entrance to the boardwalk. Our room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the location can’t be beat. I have only good things to say about the staff who were polite, helpful, and fun to talk with. The restaurant recommendations were on point; we took the staff’s suggestions and enjoyed every meal. On-site parking is a plus. If you can do the stairs, they’re faster than the elevators. I love the “old” look of the hotel, it’s kind of kitschy and cool. A few updates to the rooms would be nice to brighten them up a bit, but really, no complaints here. Will be staying again in May and truly looking forward to it!

You can walk right onto the beach or enjoy the boardwalk, all while not worrying about parking. It's a great stay. The amenities are really nice and the pool is well maintained.

Hi just had a wonderful stay at the Atlantic Sands! Everything was perfect. I want to especially thank Melissa and Jen from the Front Desk. Had a rough ride from Baltimore and they helped me cheer up!!!! Everytime I saw them they made my stay extra extra extra nice!!!!!! Thank you Melissa and Jen!!!!!

We had a great stay right on the board walk. I wish check in was earlier 4pm is way too late. But that’s my only complaint. Enjoy!

First winter stay. Great view, beautiful sunsets and sunrises. Quiet room after long day of traveling, shopping and other things. Excellent cleaning of the room. Staff was friendly and helpful, willing to accommodate as much as possible.. When we arrived they were decorating their Christmas tree, it turned out very pretty and the huge wreath was eye catching! The color scheme is one of my favorites too. We have not been able to stay here in awhile, so it was nice change. Hope to make it back again. Winter at the boardwalk is actually relaxing. A lot of things to see. We were only a few steps away from the grand stand to see the start of the marathon that weekend.

We had an amazing here. The rooms were great, LOVED the hot tub in our room, bed was so comfortable and so were the pillows. We had ocean side over looking the pool. Beautiful view. We are definitely coming back.

We’ve been coming to Atlantic Sands for years, and my mother has been coming since the 1970s. We originally went for a 1-night stay but because the weather was so excellent, we decided to extend our stay for 1 more night. We ran into a slight billing issue when we decided to extend our stay. As we were checking out after our 2nd night, we needed to speak to the manager, Craig, regarding the billing issue. Craig was exceptionally pleasant, resolved the issue in 10 minutes and went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied with the solution. All of the staff at the Sands always go above and beyond and are always so welcoming and accommodating. We have not yet had an unpleasant experience in all of the years we’ve been coming here. Our room was exceptionally clean and our ocean view room was beautiful. We hope to be back again this summer!

I loved this hotel. We took oceanfront room. View was great. It was nice waking up and seeing that view, sun on horizon, cup of coffee, what a great start of a day.
Also was nice to sit on a balcony and breath the ocean breeze.
Rooms were clean and nice.
Free parking till 1 pm of the day of the check-out.
Lobby was beachy and beautiful.
No breakfast .
Staff at register were nice too.
Outdoor pool.
There are restaurants in the hotel building on and on the boardwalk.

The Atlantic Sands was the perfect choice for our wedding venue! It was affordable, beautiful, and sensitive to how my husband and I wanted our wedding to look like. Joe MacDonald did the most fantastic job as our wedding coordinator; he was sociable, patient, responsive, accommodating, and extremely professional. The bridal suite had a beautiful oceanfront view, a jacuzzi, and plenty of space. My husband and I were offered our own private cocktail hour to unwind after the ceremony. We can't recommend this venue enough!

Went here for a quick weekend getaway! The room was clean a little on the small side but suited our needs. They have Keurigs in the room which was nice. We bought our own pods as the coffee they had was not very good We had an oceanfront room with a balcony. Beautiful view!! Check in was easy and the staff was very friendly. We had a good price but I know the rates go up as summer approaches. Would definitely stay there again
