La Fable

Food was great, complicated with many layers of flavor.
I am gluten free and waiter was so attentive and brought me a personal gluten free bread.
My drink was very refreshing - something with pomegranate.
Pretty good distance between people and tables have a white tablecloths, love restaurants with tablecloths.
From outside I would never guess that it is so great inside.

Transport yourself to the south of France just off the boardwalk in Rehoboth! Fantastic yet simple menu, with a modest but well thought wine list. Our party of 4enjoyed the escargot, cheese and charcuterie plate, steak frites (minus the frites, c'est la vie), trout almandine, bouillabaise, halibut, a french Syrah, with an espresso and chocolate mousse for dessert. Absolutely delicious.

We had an amazing meal at La Fable. The staff was knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating. They have a great wine list and serve bread with triangles of butter that are simply delightful to eat.

Highly recommend the Steak Tartare, Canard (duck) and Steak Frites. We are already planning our next visit!

This was a quaint little restaurant to visit and the food was delicious, despite the prices on the website being outdated. The presentation of the soup in a big bowl was disappointing since it was only a little bit in it.
All in all, our experience there was wonderful! The staff worked as a team. When our server, Natalie was busy. There was always someone there to look after your needs. Everyone was very friendly and seemed to enjoy working there. Even the manager was helpful when it came time to leave. My husband is disabled and can't do steps. Since there are five steps going down into the restaurant, the manager had two of her guys help my husband up the steps.
It was our Anniversary and everyone on the staff signed a card for us and we were served each a glass of complimentary champagne. It was a great place to celebrate our special day together.

Easily the best dining experience we had while visiting Rehoboth, and one of the best this year. Even having never dined there before, within minutes of being seated, we felt welcomed and part of their family. Everyone was genuine in their appreciation and everyone was vested in ensuring an amazing experience. The menu featured classic offerings that were all well prepared. The escargot was simple and one of the few I have had that was not overly garlicky. The Saffron Boulebais was exceptionally well seasoned and none of the shellfish or seafood were over cooked, all just perfectly cooked. Thank you to Nick for your exceptional service!

Was here for our 37th Anniversary and liked it so much we came back the next night. The food cannot be any better. The Staff was awesome. The atmosphere was top notch. No criticism at all. If you can, you need to stop here and create your own memories.

Excellent French fare with knowledgeable and attentive servers. We had the escargot, fromage plate, scallops, and duck à l'orange followed by chambord cake and chocolate mousse for dessert. Thoroughly enjoyed each and every dish. We will definitely be returning!

Amazing food, nice menu, excellent service. Romantic Evening. Highly recommend the lemon meringue dessert. Very authentic. Italian restaurants are great but a dime a dozen. If you want a fine dining French restaurant experience, try this place.

Reliably one of the best restaurants in Delaware. Megan and her staff are welcoming and attentive. There is no menu item I would not recommend. The Sweetbreads were delicious and the Gnocchi with Lobster was superb. The escargot was enchanting and begged for the delicious hard crusted bread to be dipped in it's juice. Absolutely superb. Thanks Megan and team.

Absolutely one of the best meals I've ever had. The chicken cordon bleu was fantastic and perfectly crunchy. You have to try the Chambord cake.

Wow! Such a beautiful, romantic restaurant. Fine dining, and a must try if you are in Delaware. The food was incredible. The service was top notch. A must-try in the Rehoboth area, plan a date night here.

I give La Fable a 5 for many reasons. First, you are treated first class from the time you check in until you leave. The service is second to none. Everyone from the Mgr to the server to the people who bring the plates out are extremely professional. The food, OMG. We had the best original and dressed house salad ever. It was amazing. The steak tartare was amazing. We had trout almondine and beef bourguignon and both were 5 star quality. The wine prices by the glass and bottle were comparable to other places too. Def going back.

Everything was delicious! Our waitress was so nice and knowledgeable! The food here is excellent and very reasonable prices for the quality of the food. Will definitely be going back!

There's a reason classic French food is still such a well-respected cuisine and La Fable reminds me why. From the amazing warm bread and butter and throughout the meal examples abound. Steak Tartare is perfectly balanced with the acid notes of capers and cornichon, the Steak Frites is elevated with the amazing sauce, the special Bouillabaisse is indeed that with perfectly cooked seafood on the broth base.

Came with friends who insisted we eat here. We were only ever had drinks in the former place in this location. Glad we listened to our friends.

Service was professional, cordial and helpful.

The food is French and well executed.

Cocktails are excellent and the bar counter is quite unique.

Food was delicious all around. I judge a French restaurant by a few dishes, the steak fritte being one and this didn't disappoint (pictured).

Tasted a little of my wife's duck a l'orange and it was also tasty.

Good wine selection.

My wife and I were here last night for our wedding anniversary. Our waiter was very kind and attentive and offered us two complimentary glasses of champagne. My wife ordered the rainbow trout and I ordered the canard. Both dishes were pretty incredible. The combination of flavors in each dish were really inspired. At the end of our meal, being too stuffed for dessert, our waiter brought out two macaroons for us for our anniversary. Really a must visit restaurant!

My wife treated me to dinner here for my birthday and we had a truly exceptional dining experience. We started with martinis, they have a great cocktail menu. The drinks were top notch, my wife particularly enjoyed the Zelda.
We started with the Fois Gras Mousse and the Fromage. Both the mousse and the cheese selections were excellent.
I had the Coquilles St. Jacques, which is a preparation of scallops, mushrooms, and leeks, served with Cauliflower. The combination of land and sea flavors in this dish was exquisite.
My wife had the Steak Au Poivre, which is their "daily" cut of beef served with fries and a black pepper cognac sauce. The steak was a center cut rib eye, which was cooked perfectly and was easily one of the best steaks either of us has ever had. Tender and bursting with flavor.
The prices are in the high end for Rehoboth Beach, with most entrees in the $30 to $40 range. Worth every penny.
Will definitely be returning soon.

Very nice meal! The food was excellent, the atmosphere is very nice along with the staff and hosts. We really enjoyed the evening, the wine was a decent choice too!
