Polar Freeze

This place looks like it was going to be just a quick meal to hold me over til later. When I went to the window I was a little worried. Then I got the food and opened the box. It still didn’t look that appealing. I was like what the heck. I’m hungry!
So I take a small bite of the bbq sandwich. Maaaaan when I tell you that was the best bbq sandwich I’ve ever put my mouth on! It was an explosion of flavor! The beans were ok. But the slaw was EVERYTHING!!! Dude! I can’t wait to find something to do in that area to have an opportunity to go back.
Prices were good, food was excellent, clean, location was good, and the customer service was wonderful!
I would recommend!!!

It wouldn't be a trip through Walnut Ridge without a milkshake from Polar Freeze. Chocolate is great but you can't beat the hot fudge shake!

This place has been around as long as I have and my dad used to take us when we were kids. It was a must-stop every time we visited Walnut Ridge. A favorite of ours is the Pizza Burger, Steak sandwich, BBQ, cheeseburgers, and the ice cream. The prices are very fair, food is great. It's just a neat, nostalgic place. I hope this place never closes.

If you want the best burger in town this is the place. Down home atmosphere. Plenty of free parking. Drive thru eat in or take out. Really good BBQ also.

Their coney island dog and the barbecue family pack tasted amazing and priced about half of what I was expecting to be charged! Great vinegar based BBQ sauce! Hidden gem in Arkansas that has been family owned for generations.

It was very clean. Great service and the food was very good. We had burgers, French fries and onion rings. They also have great ice cream.

Place was packed inside and out, but food was ready relatively fast. I will be sorry to see the place close.

Decent food. Prices not even close to good. But my wife loves it so I'll pay 60$ at a time to feed a family of 5 with 2 of my children that won't even touch the meat. Really really decent BBQ. But the ice and miniature cups you pay 2.50 for are the best 🤔

Just as delicious as I have heard. Their pulled pork is amazing, I love their vinegar coleslaw. Breaded fried pickle spears delicious. Of course we had to finish off with ice cream and shakes. Everything was top-notch. A very clean and friendly atmosphere. I would have posted a picture, but the food was so delicious we all devoured it before thinking to take a photo for this review

Great local drive in with lots of history! It's been in operation for 60+ years and people will make it their go to when in town. The food is great and the service is always to notch.

Best burgers and fries around! Cant believe people would pick McDonald's over this wonderful, locally owned business. Great food and great service. I drive 30 miles to get burger, fries, and a shake.

BBQ sandwich had just the _right_ blend of tangy and sweet... very nice, with a little slaw on the sandwich (not my usual preference, but it sure works well here.) Jack, the owner, was gracious enough to give me a brief explanation of the WWII photographs from the local airport that adorn the walls.

A true gem of the Walnut Ridge town! Excellent BBQ and shakes/malts! And if you're cooking at home go by there and get a big ole container of their sauce, the absolute BEST BBQ sauce in the Delta!!!

I don't usually do the slaw on it but did today! Great onion rings also. Friendly staff and clean hometown eatery.

Great food and service there is only one bad thing and that is Mr.Jack we miss you so much no one can do it like he did!!

This is an old restaurant but the food is really good. My parents came here on dates and me and my husband eat here quite a bit. It's part of the history of Walnut Ridge and you should try it. Try the pizza burger ;)

Great burgers! Get a shake to go with it. The food is always good and well priced. They have daily specials to mix it up. Way better than Mcd's.

Had a chocolate malted. First time in many years. No one has malts anymore. It was delicious. Bbq and fries were too. Brought back grand memories from long ago.

delicious milk shakes, just too small but it's all we need, just so good we want more. Hamburgers good, like to eat there

I've been eating here for years it is an icon in walnut ridge you don't stay in business for decades without serving great food and great service! Highly recommended!!!
