The Beacon Inn

The location of this hotel is just perfect, as it’s right in the heart of the action! Walking distance from downtown Lewes and a short ride to the beach. There is lots to do in the area for anyone coming for a vacation or a quick day trip. The staff are kind and courteous and very accommodating. We’ve always loved coming here for a quick overnight in Lewes.

I have gone here every year since I was a toddler! It's a fantastic place! The pool is cool too, and it's good because you can swim without getting sandy or worrying about losing your pool toys. It's a very comfy place with a good vibe in general, and I really like the mural in the stairwell. The staff are very friendly and the rooms are very comfy. It's also very close to the beach and to various stores so everything is in a walking distance!

Weekend getaway for wife and I. Basic hotel which had all that we needed. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Nice pool. The entire staff was super friendly and helpful. Not too bad of a walk to the beach. Also walking distance to some nice restaurants. We will visit again for sure.

We have been staying at the Beacon for years! It is our go to for a wonderful weekend away in Lewes! Our kids and grandkids have stayed there with us over the years.
They have an amazing pool , vending machines, ice machine, an elevator and a microwave on the floor. My kids always loved the huge fish tank and black board in the lobby. The Lobby is beautiful and makes you feel like the beach is welcoming you! The rooms are comfortable with a refrigerator and your own private balcony. My hubby loves the free coffee and tea set up in the lobby 24/7. It is a short walk to the beach and to town. The owner And staff are always welcoming. It is a hidden gem! We would highly recommend the Beacon Inn and I do to everyone I meet!

So rooms are decorated from way back...however!!!! It was awesome to have lounges on the floors!!!? The room actually looked thoughtfully cleaned..
Rubber bath mat looked very clean so I used it .....I never use stuff like that!!! Pool was awesome and they provided floats and toys!!! Family loved it!!! Slept comfortably and free WiFi...used pool after checkout and had areas to change.

First time booking a room there and was checked in by a very pleasant and friendly host or concierge. Had to wait a bit because the room wasn't ready-but was told I could go upstairs near the pool to wait and also was told there were a men's room as well as a beverage machine available. When I was told my room was ready, it was immaculate! No dust, no lint nor a spec of trash anywhere! Only was there for 1 night but nevertheless enjoyed my stay and will return again for a longer duration!

Everyone that works there was just great. Friendly, comfortable, relaxing, clean and calm atmosphere. First time there and would definitely go again. We are already making plans.

Fantastic location, great hotel/motel. The staff is super friendly, the rooms clean and comfortable if basic, and you can't beat the location, easy walking to both historic downtown Lewes and Lewes Beach.

Clean, friendly and close to the beach. Just what my family and I needed for an impromptu getaway to the beach. They even were able to accommodate my early check-in. Highly recommended getting a room on the poolside for great views of the sunset. I love that each room has a balcony.

Nice Place to stay. Cozy and clean rooms. Our room was with balcony. Walking distance to restaurants and beach. There is a pool and a deck with great view. Our stay was very short. Wanted to enjoy sunset at pool, but unfortunately could not manage to get there at that time. Will definitely come back there, probably for longer stay.

I stayed at the Beacon Inn for several days midweek. It was a wonderful stay! The hotel is immaculate, the rooms are a decent size and the staff is friendly. It is walking distance from downtown Lewes and also from Lewes beach. There are a number of restaurants nearby, although the one right next door was closed while I was there. They have a lovely pool which was never crowded and a lounge area right inside the hotel by the pool, in case you need a dose of AC. It is a lovely place and I plan to return.

This establishment went above and beyond to accommodate me while I was traveling for work. The staff is friendly, hospitable and just amazing. The location is perfect, close to many delicious restaurants and the beach... I cant thank them enough for the love I was shown.

Love this place. Came here as a kid, but haven't been here in a while. Was hoping it was the same and it was. Obviously with some updates of course. Very well maintained. Room was clean and they were spacious. Pricing was not bad at all even for prime season. Pool was clean and refreshing after being at the beach all day. Staff is friendly and helpful with any suggestions needed.

Born in Lewes and return every summer with my children. Stayed at the Beacon for the first time this weekend and couldn't have been more pleased. Friendly, welcoming staff, excellent location near the canal, bay, and ocean, clean rooms, several spacious sun decks in addition to the private balcony off of each room, parking was never an issue even when the hotel was totally booked, and the pool was the cleanest swimming pool I've seen in a long time. We loved it and will definitely stay here again!

They have the best rates in town. Close to everything (town, beach, walking trails). It certainly isn't a 5 star hotel, a little outdated, but very kid/family friendly, and the entire staff is always super nice. My kids loved the new ping-pong table! The pool is great, hotel is clean, and there is a place to eat right there (or several others within walking distance).

Had to make reservations at the last minute due to gasoline shortage crisis. The staff was very accommodating and someone stayed late just to sure we got settled in. Rooms are clean and quiet, and the property, though older, is in good shape. Several restaurants are within easy walking distance.

Beach house furnishings and location set the mood for enjoyable visits, but what I enjoy most is the friendly staff and the quietness. There will be the sound of people in any place, but the building itself is structurally quiet and peaceful. After spending a previous night in a hotel full of hums and rumbles and mechanical noise, the Beacon was welcome sanctuary.

My family loves The Beacon. It's clean and comfortable. And, they have real pillows! It's in Lewes so it's quiet, but close enough to everything. We've been staying at The Beacon for years...usually several times a year. Thank you for always making our stay enjoyable!!!

Great place with clean rooms, plenty of towels and quiet. Lovely pool and the lobby is spacious, bright and boasts a large assortment of books for your reading pleasure. Twenty four hour a day coffee in the lobby and the entire staff is welcoming and friendly. Try 'The Pig and Publican" restaurant next door. Superb food and service and a great variety of imported beer on hand.

Great location & pretty reasonable pricing. It was easy to find and in a low trafficked area, quiet in the evenings. A friendly quaint spot. Picked because it's close to a lot: State Park, Ferry Terminal ⛴and the Downtown Lewes area. Right off rt 1. Will mosy likely return.
